One of the best values for money in Montevideo. Here's to any foreigner that may come across this review: Montevideo is extremely expensive. This place is probably the cheapest option you'll find with hot water, a decent bed, air conditioning and a working minibar. I'd discourage you to book it for longer stays though. The hotel is downtown, steps away from Plaza Independencia and the Ciudadela, probably the best tourist attraction in town. There's a Tata (Supermarket) on the way to the Plaza too and a variety of stores nearby. If what I shared is enough for you for a few nights and you want a more affordable option in MVD, I strongly recommend it.

The whole place is really old. Looks like an old inn, you can tell by the structure itself. It is also expensive. You can probably get a room in a 3 or 4 star hotel with the same money in any other country in South America that is not Uruguay.

Marcelo, at reception was great. He was helpful from the beginning till the end of my two night stay. Really good crisp and clean bed linen. A warm room, after Marcelo helped me with the control settings. Quiet environment so good sleep. Easy walking distance to old town attractions.

The shower is problematical. A narrow space is manageable but to get the desired mix of hot and cold is practically impossible. I wasted water trying to get the right mix! And once ‘discovered’ the flow of water from the shower head is very narrow. Not the best.

Great place in the center,perfectly located with easy access.Nice rooms with comfy beds. I would like to mention that Staff is really nice one of the nicest group I’ve ever seen.They are speaking English very good and always helpful. They let me to leave my big luggage in hotel during my 3-day trip to Argentina,really appreciate that so I don’t have to carry my 30 kg case all around South America. I will definitely come back again and it was my pleasure.

Everything was great.

Very central to Montevideo city centre. Very accommodating staff. Breakfast is given to everyone - medialunas (small croissants and coffee. Basic and dated room BUT meets the expecation of a one night stay in Montevideo.

Room decor could be updated but they were not an issue. Everthing in the room works so no complaints. I stayed happily and slept very soundly.

The place is great, the stuff very welcoming, the room was spacious and clean. It's calm place, there was no noise and I was well- rested. There is a warm shower, wifi works well, the area around the hotel was safe and full of good options for eating out. I was very happy with this choice.

The hotel and room were spotlessly clean every day. There were extra pillows, blankets and a fridge in the room. The accommodation was nicely decorated and the staff were extremely helpful.

Loved my room. Loved having space. Loved not being bothered by cleaning staff. Loved the quietness. Loved the vibe. Loved the location. Loved having a fridge. Loved having an elevator. Loved the cheap price.

I had to change rooms because the Wi-Fi didn't work in the first one. It worked in certain places in the second room better than others. Also, the shower had almost no hot water.

The place was clean and the location was central. There are many eating places nearby. The staff were very helpful, especially the house keeper who gave us an extra floor mat for the air condition leak.

Nothing I can think of except that the air-conditioning dripped water at the entrance to the bathroom.

This is the best hotel in the price range in the area, I've stayed there multiple times after trying others and I always say that for the price they have really good offer. independent rooms, air conditioning, a hot shower and a comfy bed, plus a little and simple breakfast as courtesy. There are better hotels, for sure, but you are looking at at least twice the rate.

Good and quiet location at the city center. Safe and fridge in the room. Complimentary, but very simple breakfast. Room was available before official check in time.

Repeated issues with the room safe. Some mosqitoes in the room.
