The location right on the water is amazing! The rooms were exactly as shown online - spacious, clean, a cut above the usual since it had both a claw foot tub and a large walk-in shower. We had a balcony that looked out over the water and at the huge bridge. We could watch ships passing by from the balcony and a large window in the room. The room had a fireplace and we actually were able to use it on a chilly evening. The included breakfast was the very best I have had at a hotel providing breakfast. There was an omelet station with different ingredients to choose from each day and the young lady making the omelets was an excellent chef, as well as extremely friendly and kind. A $25/room/day credit is given for the bar which also had some really good appetizers and desserts!
I honestly can't think of much I didn't like. I have still never received a bill, but I was not charged more than I expected, so I guess it doesn't matter!

We stayed in the Pilot House room and it was absolutely amazing. The views were stunning — especially when the massive ships came into the harbor right below the longest bridge in North America. Truly breathtaking. The hotel itself is a top-tier boutique experience. It’s hard to believe a place this refined exists in Astoria — a solid 12 out of 10. Beautifully designed, quiet, and well-maintained throughout. Also worth noting: there’s an excellent restaurant just a 3-minute walk away on the same pier with fantastic oysters. Highly recommend this hotel — we’d definitely come back.

We can't say enough about our stay here--it really exceeded expectations. Astoria was an add on at the end of the trip and were were thinking of only staying 1 night--very glad we stayed 2 nights. Our room was really more of an apartment and had amazing views and amenities. The suite was so comfortable and perfect to spread out a bit and relax and enjoy the amazing views. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming. *We accidentally booked an ADA room. The grab bars in the bathroom were ample and located in the right places. Most hotels seem to be compliant with random bars that don't really help much. The shower seat and bars and the bars near the toilet were appropriately located for a guest with mobility issues--I was really pleased to see that they got this right.

Everything from the warm welcome to the beautiful location, fireplace in the room, luxurious sized bathtub, being right on the water to see the bridge and the ships passing through, the nightly fresh baked cookies, the included breakfast, the attentive bartender, the helpful and kind hotel manager, and the overwhelming feeling that details truly matter to your hotel. We had a wonderful time and will be back!
With a glorious bathtub like this, it would have been a great touch to have a bubble bath bottle as part of the room amenities.

This is an exceptionally, luxurious Inn/Hotel. Yet, the architecture of the Inn, the atmosphere, amenities and staff are highly welcoming. All Rooms/Suites have amazing views, with large windows overlooking the Columbia (and the ships coming through the channel). Binoculars and a list of the large ships passing through that day, are also in your Room/Suite. Even the coffee experience, in your Suite, is amazing in a subtle way. The daily certificate offered for their Bar600 is highly generous (a unique “happy hour”); the menu offerings are gourmet and yet casually delightful. Our entire stay was relaxing, comfortable, enjoyable and highly memorable. We send best wishes always…

Wonderful location with welcoming staff. The room was very nice and had extra touches like the book of the hotel's background in a lighted cubbie. Very nice lighting throughout. They put a lot of thought into their hotel and welcome packet. It was very informative and included a credit to use at the bar. They put cookies out in the evening... just another homey touch.. The free breakfast was above average with cooked to order omlets. Would definitely stay again!!

This hotel is so beautifully appointed. As you enter you understand you are in an exceptional space - the views of the Columbia River with the passing cargo ships are fascinating. Once in a lifetime experience. The rooms are FABULOUS!!! Big soaking tub, cozy fireplaces, incredible views! The staff is welcoming and helpful.Wonderful breakfast included and extra $ to spend in the bar after a long tourist day. The hotel even has their own history segment lining the second floor walls. So fascinating!

We came here for our two year wedding anniversary. This was our second year in a row in Astoria and this stay was even more amazing than the last one. We're seriously contemplating on making Astoria a yearly trip. Negatives: -maybe price, but they do offer seasonal discounts. Keep an eye out on their website. I initially missed the discount when I booked through Booking.com, but they were kind enough to apply the discount on my stay anyway as my stay did qualify for that month. Positives: -service, from the host, to the bartender, the breakfast cook, to the room service, and our chauffeur everyone was amazing. Things to point out, --our host responded to my texts and was very accommodating of my requests. She helped us with the discount with our stay. She gave us a complimentary photo of our stay and gave it to us early after I told her we would be leaving early on our last day. She remembered our names and room number. Those little details showed great attention and care. --room service is done on a daily basis, it includes vacuuming and mopping. Most hotels have reduced this to every other day or non existence using Covid as an excuse. They even filled our water as requested and all the free amenities like, coffee, bath salts, and tea --John our chauffeur went above and beyond providing me and my wife with a classy drive up and down the river walk. It started with me asking him to give us a simple short drive down to the pier before dropping us off at our dinner spot. He drove us down and told us all about the history of Astoria, he knew so much and gave us many recommendations along with providing answers to our many curious questions. It was a very classy tour experience that we will always remember. Making our anniversary feel that much more special. Thank you John --the room was modern and provided us a view of the river from every angle. The bed was comfy, and everything was super clean.

The location and views were amazing! The staff at the bar were great, giving suggestions on where to go out. Both bartenders made delicious drinks! In the morning, the breakfast omelets were amazing. John was so great driving us into town to dinner and was so nice to pick us up. Everyone made our stay memorable.
I probably would have taken advantage of the spa more if the prices were reasonable, but I understand what things cost today. I would have also put out a larger variety of fruit for breakfast and would have the car pick-up service run a little later than 9 pm.

The location was amazing if you are looking for a quiet getaway. All the riverside facing rooms offer outstanding views of the bridge and the river where you can see birds, sea lions, and massive ships pass by throughout the day and night. If you are looking for something close to downtown where all the shops, restaurants, and other attractions are this place isn't in walking distance. However, the riverside trolley stops by the hotel and is inexpensive to ride. The hotel also provides a complimentary vintage Rolls Royce to shuttle you around town in. The rooms were very large and the bathrooms were great and massive. Our favorite part was the small balcony and large windows facing the river so you could always see that amazing view no matter where you were in the room, even the bathroom! Breakfast was good, with a made to order omelet station in the morning, otherwise it was a standard hotel breakfast situation. They do offer free freshy backed chocolate chip cookies after 7pm! They also offered us a $25 coupon to the hotel bar each night of our stay which was really nice.
The only thing slightly negative I could say was the hotels distance from downtown. We brought our car so it wasn't that big of a deal and there was plenty of parking downtown. Having said that, the hotel is closer to Fort Stevens, the State Park, and the ocean!
