Such a gorgeous place. Our room was really clean and well appointed. The rooms get a better view the higher the number room. Felt very private and there are wonderful hiking trails nearby. Whale watching and sunsets were breathtaking.

The restaurant wasn’t good for dinner. The staff was wonderful. Breakfast food was decent and the view is epic for breakfast. They need to work on the night time food though, the flavors weren’t good well thought out. And it was understaffed. The other thing was we upgraded to a spa tub, but there was never enough hot water to fill it and it was only deep enough to cover part of my body.

SCP Mendocino was able to accomodate us last second on New Years Eve. Thankfully the property manager happened to be onsite even though they technically closed their booking earlier that night. Thanks to them we had a place to stay during our anniversary and the room was amazing. The bar/restaurant was great as well, friendly staff!

Great property right on the edge of the headlands, we could see the ocean from our room, which made the stay extra special and memorable. The food at the restaurant, Terra Mar, is also great. Ocean view dining while watching the sunset was a highlight for me. I would highly recommend!

The bathroom was in a bit of disrepair, seemed old and in need of some renovation. We didn't mind it much since we were traveling all day. Room was pretty comfortable otherwise.

The location, the restaurant, the cleanliness and kind staff. Patty moved us to a larger room because the room we were supposed to stay was too hot that day due higher temperatures than usual. We appreciated it a lot! The view from the room and restaurant was stunning and relaxing. The room had a semi private backyard, our dog enjoyed it a lot.

The only downside is that there is no phone reception there and the WiFi doesn’t work very well either

Gorgeous views and room upgrade! Apparently, every room at the hotel has an ocean view. The fireplace next to the ocean was an amazing touch. Beautiful bathroom too!

Bed was slightly too hard for my taste and although the feather pillows are lovely and comfortable, they don’t do well for sleeping. Also, the beautiful fireplace gets too hot and no way to keep it on but turn down the heat.

It’s really good place to stay here, the only complaint I had when I bought my 2 chihuahuas with me and they charged me $35 each dog for a night. That’s a bit too much for 1 night and you cannot leave them when you attend dinner at the restaurant. So it’s not a pet friendly then if I have to bring my dogs with me to attend dinner for and hour and half.

The view is amazing. Step out on your porch and you have the best view in the area, better than any hotel we stayed at. You get the slough, the bridge, the beach, the ocean. Actually you don’t even need to go on your porch it’s from the bed of the couches. The room was really clean and service was excellent but I can’t say enough about the view!!!

Exceeded every expectation! Staff were friendly, accommodating, and helpful. We had a flat tire, staff put air in so we can drive to town to get it fixed. Breakfast at the restaurant was amazing with the view, great locally sourced food and friendly staff. Will be back very soon.

The hotel itself is positioned very well and the view from the room is amazing! The staff are very professional and accommodating. They even upgraded our room for free since off peak season and sent some gift for our wedding anniversary! Such a kind gesture

Loved the location, privacy of the rooms and the amazing views. The restaurant at the lodge was awesome too! We had both dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed it! Highly recommend this along with the stay
