The innkeepers were very lovely and left complimentary wine from a local winery. The bed was very comfy and we had a nice small ocean view. There are nearby restaurants you can get food from. It's peaceful and quiet.

The walls are fairly thin, we could hear our neighbours pretty clearly if speaking loud enough. We did have some ants in the bathroom but when we mentioned to the Innkeeper they said they would look into it immediately. We were only there one night and noticed in the morning. So I can't verify how quickly it was looked into.

This is a great property to visit with a pet. The cottage we stayed in and grounds are very pet friendly with room to run and a private yard. The hot tub was wonderful. The location is a bit away from restaurants and shops, but that is exactly what we were looking for. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The shower in our cottage was basically unusable. There was so little water pressure there was no way one could wash their hair or have any kind of meaningful shower. The water never got hot in the bathroom - it barely got warm after running it for over 30 minutes (strange since the water in the kitchen got hot super fast). The cottage has some mold issues, with a very strong smell in some places. With a little effort on these issues the cottage would have been fantastic.

Our little cottage was so quaint and adorable! We loved the little extra touches upon arrival, like a welcome note, a small bottle of wine, dog bowls, and dog treats. We loved the little binder that provided a history of the inn. The fenced yard was very convenient for us to let our dog out to potty, as well. Many times, we saw rabbits in the yard! Luckily, our dog is only interested in smelling the bushes and was unfazed by the rabbit. Also, we absolutely loved the window view over the property/of the ocean. Overall, a cute little stay!!

The walls were a bit thin, and it would have been nice to have a bigger sink other than just the bathroom sink so we could wash our dog's feeding bowls more comfortably, but this is a small cottage and we knew what we signed up for so not really a con on the inn's part, more just a little inconvenience that I'm happy to overlook because of how cozy of a stay it is :)

The bed was great, so comfortable! The room (private cottage) was so private, it felt like it was just us at the facility. We had our own little backyard with hot tub and porch with seats to enjoy the quiet. The location is so close and quick to get to other places for food or adventure. Each staff that I met was happy and kind. They explained things easily.

Due to limitations with water in the area of Mendocino, they only have us two beach towels instead of bath towels. The shower was small and it took forever to get warm water. The floors were dramatically sloped and while we felt it was part of the charm our room would not have been ADA accessible.

Location. Bed was super comfortable. View was wonderful and we had terrific weather… Sunny days in NorCal coast are always a treatZ.

Housekeeping could be more attentive to dusting details on glass pendant lamp, bathroom fan, door panels, dresser front… room was otherwise clean but these details make a difference for first impressions and appearance of clean. We could hear our neighbors talking through the walls but appreciate the respect of guests for quiet hours.

We loved our stay in the Garden cottage! The room was clean and cozy and the fact that it is separated from the other cottages gave our stay an intimate feel. The patio is a great addition and the soaking tub was absolutely amazing, plenty big for two, with ample hot water. The staff was super friendly and very communicative.

The room is very bright in the morning, the curtains were decorative and didn't block out the light in the morning. The only "improvement" I could suggest is more substantial curtains.

I loved that I had a view of the ocean, there was a telescope or viewfinder in the room which was cool, staff was really awesome and friendly, bed was comfortable, the fridge was dorm size, there was room to walk the dogs, there were doggy dump stations, I saw a deer, it was close to the ocean and Van Damme beach.

I think instead of having lattice partitions on the back deck a solid privacy board should be put up, I could hear my neighbors TV, the room was hot in the afternoon so a nice fan would be good.

Location was great, the patio view was amazing, parking was very close to our stairs to the room. The flowers all around were lovely, the welcome wine was a nice touch & the bed & bedding was very comfortable.

A sign in the room saying we can't use the shower/tub in the room after 9pm to be quiet felt absurd, especially if they are not having the hot tub functioning. We arrived at 9:30 and I was really looking forward to a hot bath after a 4 hour drive so that was a bummer. There were also so many messages emails and texts leading up to the stay that could have been all done in one message and one text so it would be less stressful. They'd be all the same info with one extra part thrown in so it just made me a bit ancy before the trip. Streamlining and consolidating it would be helpful for future travelers. Other than the stress leading up to checking in and the first night disappointment not being able to use the bathtub in our own room everything else was lovely.

We came to hunt for sea urchins at Van Damme Beach, and the Inn is less than a mile away! The property is great if you have dogs, our 2 little ones were pampered with treats. GREAT coffee! And a private tub with jets!

The only one tiny thing that was slightly annoying was the bed was pretty high up.

The hosts were friendly, welcoming and happy to answer questions--the room was beautiful and well equipped. VERY pet friendly! Spectacular view of sunset. Nice grounds with meadow for pet run. Excellent location for visiting Mendocino and nearby beaches.

The walls between the adjoining cottages were thin and sound travelled easily...
