This was our second visit to the Hotel de l'Europe and we can't say enough about it. If you are looking for modern-day comfort within the confines of what used to be one of Grenoble's oldest and most charming hotels, look no further. This time we were given a top floor room with balcony and a view of the Place de Grenette and the Alps in the distance. We spent the first and last moments of every day admiring the magnificent views on that balcony. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious, and the staff couldn't be more charming and friendly.

Everything was perfect.

Rooms were clear, albeit rather small, something which is common in Paris, so would say on average. the decoration and cleanliness make the stay better, the breakfast limited (continental) but was a good place to work for a while before going to my meetings across Paris

Only area of improvement would be the bathroom, this was more on the rather small side, so does take a bit of fidgeting to close the shower door and your face is very close to every single wall. once again, something common in Paris. and as i took a individual room, would be fair to say it was in line with the cost.

I liked the bacony in my room with double doors and a view of the mountain and bastille. I liked the general decoration in the hotel.

I didn't think there was enough choice for brekfast and the bread was hard stale by the second morning of my stay. Clearly not having been replaced since the previous morning. The bacon tray only contained grissled residue, which I suspect had also been there the previous day. Considering this cost 15 euro per breakfast, which I payed at the end of my stay, it was not worth it.

The hotel delighted us with its hearty breakfast and unbeatable central location. Our room offered a stunning cityscape view, best enjoyed from the quaint balcony—an urban oasis of sorts. Plus, the discounted parking provided by the hotel was a much-appreciated perk in the bustling city center. Perfect for travelers looking to immerse themselves in the city's heartbeat.

While the hotel's vintage charm has its appeal, the room and overall facilities could benefit from a refresh. The age of the interiors, though clean, showed through and hinted at the need for a modern touch-up. For those seeking contemporary comforts, this aspect may be a drawback amidst the hotel's many positives.

The location was fantastic and close to everything. The staff was absolutely amazing and so helpful, we bought a bottle of wine and the receptionist (an older male) brought us glasses and as soon as he noticed the bottle, he was so funny and nice and made the stay wonderful. The room was big and clean and bed was comfy

The shower could be a bit cleaner but nothing to worry about

Very cordial and nice staff. Centrally located in old town. Easy access to public transit, to train station, etc. Excellent breakfast for price. Sweet and savory. Near the cable cars and you get a 10 percent savings for them from hotel. Loved the view from balconies. With window closed, soundproof. Modern shower. Rooms nice and clean and neat. Good layout. Would return again!

On arrival I had a “near miss” when backing out of a full lift on 3rd floor pulling my small case and almost fell backwards down the stairs as lift door opens out quite close to down steps of staircase and I went down top step and was Very lucky not to fall further.

The room looked better than I had expected. It was pretty spacious and had cool mirrors and design. It was clean and decent for a standard hotel. Hotel staff were nice too and guided me on the information. The location was good in the sense that just outside has everything that you need. It is an area with a lot of restaurants and even shopping centre

Proper shower and shampoo could have been provided. Maybe a tissue box too? The location is somewhat far from the central station. About 20+ mins walk

The hotel is situated conveniently in the city centre, transfer from/to train station easy by tram, but also possible by feet. The personal is very friendly and helpful. Communication in English is no problem. The room was small, but clean and well organized and equipped. As the hotel is not that large the atmosphere is almost family-like.

Location is perfect in the center of Grenoble, few steps from "Office du Tourisme" tram station. Here you can access three (3) of the four (4) tram lines: A, B and D. Also, around 10 to 15 minutes' walk from the train and bus stations "Gare du Grenoble" Staff is very very friendly and helpful. the room is clean.
