At the beginning of our stay there was a hold up for a handful of guests trying to check in due to some miscommunication between the cleaning staff and the front desk. These things happen. No big deal at all. But the front desk staff handled the 45-60 minute bottleneck with calmness and professional savvy. That was impressive. Made me realize that I’d rather check in a few minutes late and have solid hotel staff that can handle a little hiccup. The rest of the trip they were by far and away some of the nicest people staffing a hotel that we’ve stayed at recently.

Clean. Water and coffee. Breakfast was very good. Room was quite even tho the hotel was busy.

All the staff we encountered were cheerful & genuinely friendly. We didnt use the free shuttle, but what a great service to offer! Free parking was also a draw for us. Love nuts & raisins for the oatmeal.

Its not a complaint, just something I forgot to report— the toilet in 321 is wiggly on its base. The breakfast area is a little narrow woth everything in a straight line & that wall preventing too much movement behind people standing to fill their plate or waiting toe things to heat. The coffee machine has a fancy feel, but its slow & doesnt really make coffee any better than fresh brewed coffee being served from an urn.

Great location to walk to our venue (Alliant Energy Colliseum), everything was clean and staff was friendly. Breakfast buffet was excellent with eggs, protein, pancakes, pastries, etc.

We were in town for the Penn State-Wisconsin game so we didn't have high needs or expectations, but I was impressed and surprised by the overall experience. Starting at check-in and throughout our stay, the front desk staff were efficient, friendly, and professional. The hotel is attractive and the lobby is spacious. Our room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower pressure was good. I even liked the bath products. Breakfast was sufficient and the coffee was surprisingly good. The breakfast staff worked hard to keep everything stocked and plentiful. All in all, the staff seemed to care about the guests and their experience. I have been a loyal HiltonHonors member, but am thinking about switching to IHG based on this experience.

The shuttle really makes this one of the best hotels to stay at. They will shuttle you, on demand, within a 3 mile radius which gets you to all of the campus and lots of downtown Madison places. They will also pick you up! In addition to the awesome shuttle was the amazing staff. They were the friendliest people and very accommodating of any and all needs. Also the place seemed new and was very clean and had fun decor. And there was even more bonus in that they have 200 channels of cable with many premium channels (HBO, TCM, etc). The BEST hotel we've stayed in in the last couple of years, and we travel about 8 trips a year staying at hotels like this (even other Holiday Inns) and places that are 'nicer' than this (in reputation).

The staff are super nice and helpful. The room is spacious. The breakfast is not bad. Overall, it's a great place to stay.

I hope they will provide slippers, toothbrushes, and toothpaste in the room (you can get toothbrushes and toothpaste from the front desk though). Also, the room's lighting is controlled by a switch near the door, so you can't turn off the light from your nightstand, which is quite inconvenient.

Breakfast buffet was very good! We were delighted we could get a shuttle to get to a restaurant and back! This hotel was recommended by a friend who has chaperoned high school wrestling teams to tournaments and stayed with you.

I thought the shower floor, for a senior citizen, was quite slippery. But I do understand that a gripper shower mat would be a difficult item for a hotel to provide and clean.

Alex and Shane were wonderful at check in. Took care of us with personal attention to detail. The room was spacious, and the bed was the best of all the places that we stayed along our road trip. It was SO comfortable that I pulled back the sheets to see what it was. I woke up without any aches and pains. The breakfast was free in the lobby and very good. We had dinner off property at a nearby restaurant that was very good. Shane was the shuttle driver that took us there and picked us up. We also drove through a festival of lights just before check in next door. It was free and nice!

Breakfast was very good. Front Desk personnel were friendly and helpful. When I asked for additional assistance with blankets and television, the front desk staff was quick with a response/action.

Pool hours could have been more conducive to a family. We did not utilize the pool however my wife said that it wasn't open in morning or early afternoon.

The shuttle service was way beyond our expectations. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The 24 hour free play area for after convention hall hours was excellent and we had a great time even hanging out in the lobby. The breakfast was quite good for an included.

The only thing we missed was no place to hang up clothes only drawers but it wasn't too big a deal.
