Excellent breakfast both in terms of quality and choice of breakfast items. Cooked breakfasts included locally sourced products which were well prepared and served. All staff were friendly and welcoming. We had two evening meals which again were excellent and plenty of choice from the menu. We travelled with our cocker spaniel and a bed was provided in our room for him together with a small bag of treats. We sat in a dog friendly area of the restaurant but didn't feel at all excluded - and there were plenty of other dog owners there too! The room was a reasonable size with clean, white linen and the bathroom with white fluffy towels. The shower was good, however the bathroom itself was starting to look a bit tired with a few cracks on the tiled floor and shower cubicle looking a bit worn. The toiletries provided was a nice touch and the welcome tray in the bedroom very welcome with tea, coffee and biscuits. Fresh milk was provided on the two fridges on the landing together with complimentary bottled water and fruit juices - again nice touches and very welcome. There is a nice park area not far from the hotel where our dog could have a good run around, and well located for morning and evening walks. We visited Clapham village, just a few miles down the road and did the Ingleborough Nature Trail (accessed for a small charge). Again because of the heat it was ideal, being canopied under trees most of the way. The path then opened with a small stream alongside where our dog happily splashed in the water and cooled off. We stopped at the head of Ingleborough Cave for a drink and loo stop, both of which were very welcome. The area has just the most stunning scenery.

Our room was at the front of the hotel and as we arrived on possibly the hottest day of the year, the windows had been left wide open which was beneficial. However, left open overnight resulted in some traffic noise, which we accept was unavoidable and didn't really bother us, although it may not be welcome for other customers. As previously mentioned the bathroom is looking a little tired but it didn't detract from our overall comfort in any way.

A nice hotel in a beautiful location, just outside the small village of Giggleswick. The room was a good size wuth a very comfotabke bed and a large, immaculately clean en-suite. Tea/ coffee making facilitues were good, with fresh milk provided, rather than those nasty little sachets of UHT. The breakfast was outstanding, with a wide choice and all was beautifully cooked. All staff were polite and very helpful. We will definitely stay here again.

Would have prefered a nicer view from our room. Those at the rear of the buikding looked out over a gorgeous Dales village and lovely countryside.

Chose this gem for our 3 peaks challenge, 8 of us in 4 rooms. Rooms well appointed- 2 with baths, 2 with showers. Mini fridges were a nice extra as was the takeaway breakfast provided in advance for the day we did the walk. Ate in the restaurant for 5 meals, breakfast was great with a lovely selection. Evening meals were equally as good - roasts were excellent, daily specials and a nice range on the menu to chose from, all of which were tasty, hot & good value. However, have saved the best till last - the staff, each and everyone was absolutely superb, polite, hardworking, friendly, accommodating, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. A big thank you to Pippa and the team, you all made our stay and would definitely return here if we came back to Yorkshire 😊

We loved the location of the Hotel and the old building which had retained many of its original features and there were plenty of parking spaces. We received a warm welcome and appreciated the offer to help ourselves to fresh milk, fruit juice and bottled water from a conveniently placed fridge in the hallway. The room was large and nicely furnished with good storage space, tea and coffee making facilities, large fluffy towels and free toiletries. The bed was comfortable and the area quiet and the shower powerful and hot. We enjoyed a lovely cooked breakfast in the morning with attentive service from the very pleasant staff member.

The wallpaper was stained where a radiator had been moved and would benefit from a lick of paint. We couldn't work out how to open the bedroom window but did manage to cool the temperature by opening the bathroom window.

Great location, just outside Settle but within walking distance to the town centre. From start to finish our stay was very enjoyable. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the service was top notch! The food was very tasty and served promptly. We loved the decor of the bar, restaurant area, as well as our room's for the night. The room itself was comfy, clean and accessible from outside which was quite good, as we didn't have to parade in our running kit (it was a running trip to the Yorkshire Dales) through the bar area. Views from the restaurant and the patio were very nice. It was such an enjoyable stay, we will definitely visit again.

Fantastic location absolutely beautiful hotel spotless beautifully decorated we loved it from the moment we pulled into the carpark. Food was outstanding staff couldn't do enough for us and really friendly and welcoming. The young lad that greeted us was brilliant really chatty and a real grafter he never stopped all evening. It was ideal for a base for a few days walking we can praise the staff enough it's a credit to them all thank you so much we loved our stay with you X

There wasn't anything we didn't like the hotel is a little gem and will definitely be returning in the future.

Staff were friendly and efficient. Single room - well carpeted so little noise from bar. Comfortable mattress. Good shower. Very good breakfast. Off road parking adequate but a bit awkward. Easy walk into Settle.

The bedroom was clean but spartan - not somewhere you would choose to relax apart from the tv. Dressing table and stool not desk and chair. Ensuite was clean but seemed to have no extractor - there was a bit of a damp smell but nothing serious. At £88 a night, I felt this was a bit over-priced - guess that's a reflection of how few single rooms are available in country pubs.

The location in the Yorkshire Dales is superb. There are many activities for a variety of travellers. The receptionist was helpful, friendly and very professional. As I was escorted to my room Amelia pointed to a small fridge that had cartons of juice, milk and bottled water. She said please help yourself to anything in there, it's free. I really appreciated that. The single room was quite small, but adequate for my needs. The garden terrace was nice and was great on a warm day. Yes, it was one of those rare days of sunshine. The food and service was excellent. The breakfast was outstanding. A lot of options and catered for everyone's needs. I loved the recognition of the history of the Hotel. There were many photographs of a bygone age around the walls. I thoroughly enjoyed looking at them.

The location to Settle was ideal and was exceptionally quiet, clean and friendly. The Harts Head is under new management and you were made to feel welcome from the minute you stepped through the door. The room was very clean with towels, shampoo and body wash all provided along with tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast has a good choice of cereals, tea, coffee and a good cooked menu to choose from, we both had the eggs Benedict and were more than satisfied with what we got. There is also onsite parking.

There was nothing to dislike.

The property was a short uphill walk out of Settle centre. It had parking to the rear in a small car park. We managed to park literally outside our room which was accessed externally to the pub itself. Beautiful room with everything you could ever need or wish for and more. Food for both breakfast and evening meal was outstanding and menu was wide catering for all allergies and preferences.

Absolutely nothing it was perfect we really enjoyed our stay and will be back.
