We stayed in the room layout with the bunk bed as a group of 4 friends. It was so comfortable, spacious, and functional. The beds were also comfortable, each person had their own privacy, and check-in/check-out process was easy. There is even a shuttle bus to the hotel from Kyoto station check-in counter which is <5min walk from central gate exit.

Spacious hotel, comfortable bed, tower and bed linen are clean. Location is a bit far from the city centre, but since I am driving, it is no problem to me.

It was a quiet wet around the corridor on our first day of arrival, not sure if it was caused by heavy rain. It seemed to have improved on the second day. Other than that, everything seems to be in good order.

Clean, comfortable, well maintained facilities. Excellent customer service except for check-in procedure.

Check-in procedure that required guests to go to offsite Reception Office. We had to haul all of our six luggages to their downtown location before being let in. This hazzle could have been avoided if they incorporated this extra step in pre-check in procedure before arriving in Japan.

The room was spacious for an adult family of five, and compared to other accomodation we've had in Japan. It had a balcony and another big window so the room was light and airy. Having a washing machine was great and the clothes drying system in the bathroom was very efficient. The check-in system by the station was very efficient, and the free shuttle to our accommodation was most welcome and was available straight away.

The fifth bed option - for my son who is 6 2 - was a fold out chair which was far too short and not very wide. Probably fine for a child though. The staff provided a comfortable mattress for the floor straight away.

Spacious, modern, good central location (can walk to Gion, temples and food markets as well as being minutes from a train station & bus stops). Balcony was great, useful to have free shuttle and 24/7 access to contact staffif needed. Kids LOVED the projector screen and smart TV which was a great way for them to relax in the evening after busy days of sightseeing!

Would have liked some shelves in the wardrobe to store clothes. Would have also liked a clothes drying rack since there was a washing machine - had to hand clothes on furniture to dry

I low key want to gatekeep this property lmao but they were too good to not leave a review. You check in at a separate location but the staff is still very accommodating. They even gave us all fresh cool towels since it was a warm day. The rooms themselves were our favorite of the whole trip. It's more like a private apartment. We had two bunk beds which were comfortable, and the room came with both a TV and a projector so we were able to watch new episodes of our show from the comfort of our beds. Toilet is separate from the washroom, and the washroom itself was bigger than most. Lots of space at this location, and we even had a balcony. We missed this spot immediately after checking out lol

The check in was in another location opposite Kyoto Station. You have to walk a fair bit to reach the ResiStay office. The registration was quick (if you check in online prior to arriving). ResiStay will give instructions on how to check in 3 days before arrival (if I remembered correctly). If you don't do that.. then the check in process will take a longer time. The one way shuttle to the accommodation is a big plus after check in. The staff at registration counter are very courteous and well mannered. Kudos to the team. ResiStay also provides free shuttle back to the accommodation after you return from sightseeing but you must go to their office to book the service. Very convenient. The location of the accommodation is near to bus stop & Gojozaka Train Station (Keihan Line). You can go anywhere easily. Yasaka Shrine, Kiyomizu Dera Temple, Nannensaka & Sannenzaka street are all within walking distance. If you love walking, you can explore Gion and the surrounding areas. Otherwise you can take a bus or train. Plenty of eateries down the street. Family Mart, Lawson and 7 Eleven is nearby. The room 303 is allocated for booking.com - it is quite small to house 5 pax but we managed. We enjoyed watching movies after a long day outside - just to chill. It is from a projector & gives the cinema feel. Very nice. Many channels. ResiStay is very thoughtful - they even have a manual in the accommodation - where they gave directions on how to go around to places of interest by bus and by train. Also what are the restaurants nearby. All in all, we enjoyed our stay at ResiStay Gojozaka. Will definitely stay here again - if we are in Kyoto.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The room was a very good size with plenty of natural light, and having a kitchen made it easy for us to prepare our own breakfast, which we really appreciated. The two queen-sized beds were very comfortable. The location is just by a big road that separates the more touristy area from a quieter neighborhood, which gave us the best of both worlds. Overall, we would definitely love to stay here again!

The only slight downside was that the bus stop is about a 8-10 minute walk away, but we loved walking.

The staff at the check-in desk were polite and helpful. Calm, peaceful location. The room and bathroom were very clean and the beds were comfortable. The laundry was so useful and they provided enough laundry detergent pods for our stay. Umbrellas are available to borrow on the ground floor. Within walking distance to konbinis and grocery store. The Nohga hotel across the street offered delicious breakfast.

There were four of us sharing a room so there weren't enough hangers and hooks to dry our clothes. It is a long walk to train stations (I didn't mind). There was an issue getting Netflix to work on the projector so we didn't use it. Couldn't figure out how to turn the bathroom fan off (or maybe it was the shower fan).

The room was a great size for a family of 5 (2 teens and a toddler). Having a washing machine in the room, which also had laundry pods, was super handy. The location was amazing, short stroll to whatever we needed and wanted to do. We also hired a car for the 8 nights we were in Kyoto, the public car park is pretty much next door and very cheap. Having a smoking room in the lobby was an added bonus!

The only thing I could fault was the cleanliness of the room. The walls could have a decent clean (lots of marks and they were dirty, but not gross). There were stains/marks on the lounge/futon. The bathroom and vanity could also have a deep clean.
