Nice place to stay in the outskirts of Chicagoland. Rooms were clean and close to parks and restaurants, plus only 5 minutes off the freeway.

Some of the staff were not too professional. First person we encountered gave me an attitude about the rooms not being ready yet even though it was close to 3 PM check in. Another staff member was crashed out cold and sleeping at the front desk at 5 AM, the next day they were selling beer to guests at 6 AM on a Sunday when the legal time to sell beer is noon. Only a few bad apples, the majority of the staff were friendly and helpful.

We arrived on a Wednesday, which is the day they hold the "Social". Vickie was outstanding! We enjoyed cheese and crackers, salad, an amazing chicken noodle soup and beer/wine. The breakfasts were very good with a lot of options. I utilized both the laundry facilities and the fitness room. Both were perfect for my needs.

The hot items for breakfast, while very good, were pretty much the same every morning. My husband was wishing, just once, that bacon would have been offered! Other than that, no issues.

I enjoyed the environment around the building the most-- I was grateful to be near some nice parks and even just the parking lot was nice to walk around in. I also enjoyed the staff at this Homewood, everyone was always respectful and helpful! The best part of the stay would have to be the kitchenette--just having the option to cook up something instead of eat out was great for me, and I even maintained groceries while I stayed there.

I had the opportunity to stay in a few different rooms, and I do feel like the housekeeping staff doesn't clean consistently among the different areas. When I was on the 1st floor, housekeeping came every other day and I always felt that they did an amazing job. When I was on the 3rd floor, I can't say the same as when I arrived, I found hair on the shower wall and on some of the pillow cases. I didn't want to make a big deal about it because I knew they would be coming in to clean again, but the shower was never cleaned well enough to my liking.

Got to breakfast at 915 and every single thing was cleaned up already and I was told breakfast ended at 930. Only got an apple and a coffee.

The room was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of linens, and enough dishes and pots/pans for our needs. The lobby area was nice, and the breakfast was fine for our needs. My son enjoyed the pool. The staff was very helpful with a complication at check-in as well.

The room showed a little wear and tear, mostly in the carpet and bathroom. Nothing that felt unsafely "unclean," just not pristine. There was a lot of trash in the hallways - it kept piling up outside rooms and on the console tables in the hallways by the elevators. Not sure if that was just because of the holiday weekend, or if that is normal. One of the two elevators seemed to constantly have a cleanliness and smell issue, and not a pleasant one.

It was placed close to the venue we were attending and provided a safe, clean location for us to stay for that.

Well, for the price of other hotels in The area it wasn’t really what I’d call competitively priced. Two nights was over $300 with no pets, no smoking no room service or taking advantage of the breakfast, etc (pets occur additional fees) . Poolside towels were extremely small and not overly practical for drying one’s self.

Both computers in the business center did not work for me; kept freezing up Bed pillows were nor real comfortable; they were like fluffy/flat..no shape We were there three days so our room should have been cleaned on the second day but it didn't get done; we were able to get fresh towels

It was our first honeymoon night after our wedding, and having a large room was perfect. We counted out all our money gifts and organized them and enjoyed the comfortable bed before heading out to DC for our inauguration honeymoon!

As usual, we enjoyed the breakfast immensely, but my two desires are real butter and real maple syrup on those delicious waffles or pancakes that one day I hope to find at all the IHGs we stay at!!

Breakfast was good!

I booked online because of the technology computer issue glitch on Friday July 19th, 2024. Didn’t offer government rate or senior citizen rate plus were rewards member as well! We were told to talk to front desk when checking out but didn’t have any luck getting a lower rate! Desk girl said maybe next time! Also there were no other hotels with availability! We were there for Grandson AAU basketball tournaments.

Hotel was very clean and staff was friendly. Breakfast was decent. Bed was comfortable and the room spacious.

The door to our room would stick every now and again, making it difficult to enter. We had to go get the front desk worker to help us once. And yes, we know how electronic keys work. Breakfast was good, but workers weren't in much of a hurry to replace food once a tray was empty.
