It is a room only basis which suits us. Just a short walk is Brayford wharf where there are eateries bars and a Wetherspoons (great for breakfast). Walk into Lincoln is a leisurely stroll where again there are no shortage of places to eat and drink and shop!! Great advantage to staying here is free on road parking with a permit which you collect with your room key. The bedroom and bathroom were clean with tea/coffee provided.
The mattress was a bit hard but ok for couple of nights. If you're infirm I would suggest booking room 1 as the stairs are a little steep.

Myself and a friend needed a low key, chilled out, cheap and cheerful place to stay after reliving uni days and a night out. This place was a lovely popular pub within walking distance of the city centre. The staff were friendly and helpful, parking available outside with a permit and we were given a set of keys to come and go as we pleased. The room was simple but comfortable with a large bathroom with shower next to it and tea/coffee making facilities, a TV and Wi-Fi. Despite the room being above the beer garden there was little to no noise disturbance. We could definitely recommend to someone just wanting simple comforts and a place to rest their head on a Lincoln visit.
The only petty discomfort were that the stairs up to the room were a bit steep!

Loved my stay at The Queen in the West. Made a wonderful change from staying at the usual large hotels as I travel around the UK. The pub has a certain rustic, local charm, which I enjoyed very much. The staff were excellent and the bar patrons were friendly. The bedroom was well appointed, comfortable and surprisingly quiet.
The only downside were the very narrow, steep stairs to access the bedroom. I travel light and there is only one flight, so not a problem but if you have large suitcases it will be more difficult.

A really lovely room attached to a lovely pub - with your own door to come and go through! The bed was super comfy and I had a great night's sleep. It's only a short walk into the centre of Lincoln as a great location as well! I didn't get the chance to have a drink in the pub itself but it looked like a really nice place!
The only couple of comments I would make was that the room was quite cold when I arrived - there are little heaters available to turn on but it would have been nice if these were on already to beat the chill! Also being attached to a pub there was a bit of noise as people were leaving but that's to be expected and wasn't too bad!

Good value for money room was nice and clean .Plenty of tea and coffee ,pub was nice with lovely staff and the Beer was Great . There only problem we found we where in room no 2 and the stairs were very narrow and step . We were only there for one night so it was not a problem for us , but i suppose with the pub it self being a lovely old pub you are going to find the stairs like this . To any one who is thinking about stopping at this lovely pub if you have any mobility problems or you my be stopping a little longer and you have a big suitcase you might want to ask for room no 2 . Although we had a taxi from the bus station to take us to the accommodation (pub ) it was only a 10 / 15 min walk to town . We will be back again !!! thank you .
Every thing was great , it was only the step stairs leading up to the room . The next time we visit we will ask for the ground floor room .

My room had its own door onto the street outside so I didn't have to traverse a multitude of locked doors and gates each day. Also an electric towel rail which was extremely handy for a wet BH weekend! Permit for street parking outside provided free but hit and miss how close you can park.
Odd for a pub not to have its own car park so you're competing with pub patrons for a space.

There is no breakfast option, but that's ok, because this is made clear at booking and there is a list of local providers close by. Bed is comfortable and the shower room is huge!
My one issue was the pillow, but I have a severely arthritic neck, others will probably find them OK.

In a lovely location, only a 15 minute walk into the town, room was really nice and comfortable and staff was really nice
The only downside was the parking it is all on very narrow streets and they did give us a permit to park and luckily managed to get a space but I think if we came any later we would of struggled but nevertheless we would still come stay here again. We also do wish they did breakfast also!

nothing really apart from someone trying our door handle at night as the door leads straight onto the street
