The Duke William is a very well maintained venue, with friendly, helpful staff and a vey easy checking in/out process. Our room really lacked nothing. There was a fan, tea and coffee making facilities (including instant and filter coffee) an abundance of piping hot water and a wonderfully comfortable bed! We had requested a quiet room with a bath, which was fulfilled, leading to a really good nights sleep. We only looked at the menu once we had arrived at the hotel and decided to dine at the venue that evening. With a severe nut allergy, I must complement the management for training their staff so well, and the chefs for adapting their cooking methods for my menu choice. Superb choice of wines to accompany dinner also. We waited about 30 mins for our breakfast, but it was really good. Would definitely recommend The Duke William

Lovely welcome,room was lovely and clean . Welcome tray with various tea /coffee and a caffertie. Bottled water and a welcome pack of homemade biscuits 😋. Lovely beer garden to sit out with a drink too. We slept well and was quiet too. We stayed in room 1 and the bath and shower were great. Breakfast was very nice. We had a form to fill in the night before ,good selection of food to chose from. We had a relaxing stay for my sons Graduation and would definitely return. Thankyou for a lovely stay.

For reference if your walking its on a very steep hill to get to.

A real gem of a place. Lovely, warm cosy feel to pub. Great room and very friendly staff. Perfect location at the top of the old part of city. Breakfast was tasty and freshly cooked. We didn't eat at the pub as we had other plans but the menu looked tasty with good variety and the food we saw being served looked plentiful and fabulous. Parking available and they let us leave it there after we checked out while we looked round Lincoln.

In all honesty, nothing! Can't recommend it highly enough. Absolutely nothing to fault

All of the staff we spoke to were very helpful and friendly. The bar and restaurant look great, room was quite small and dark, but the bed was enormous and pleasantly firm. A lovely breakfast from a nice selection.

For the price we paid I felt the room could have been a bit more luxurious. I found the bedsheets to feel rough (although my husband did not). I was also a little disappointed that the hospitality tray did not have any biscuits on - always a perk of a hotel stay!

The breakfast was super - offering different things alongside the usual full English, and there was lots of it. I can't praise the staff highly enough. They were highly efficient, but so friendly and kind and warm. I'd go back there again like a shot.

The bed was a little too firm for me - but that's just personal preference.

We loved the age of the building and the cosy comfortable atmosphere.

The stairs were a bit tricky, but nevertheless manageable. It was difficult to find a comfortable heat setting for the shower. Not a big lover of rain showers, so can’t comment on that one. Lovely big bath, but we are energy conscious so didn’t try that out either. Just needed a good shower.

Beautiful hotel very close to Cathedral at top end of town. Very inviting lil place. Lovely welcome by lady on reception. Gorgeous room..smaller than your bog standard hotel but nicely done. Very modern shower room. Food in restaurant was delicious and generous portions. We loved it.

Room was quite dark but didn't spoil anything. Maybe a tall lamp somewhere might be better.

Efficient, friendly service. Clean, tidy throughout. Ample choice for breakfast & generally quite after 23:00hrs.

Room (7) quite small for a double with very little storage in room & bathroom, especially compared to other double (2) we saw. OK for one night but useless for longer stay. Acoustic act terrible & really not reqd by anyone.

An excellent breakfast, with a thoughtful menu, and seemingly prepared with care. Very flavourful and coming in generous proportions! Dedicated parking, fabulous! Very helpful and accommodating staff (eg., with access arrangements for my 93 year old mother, among other things). Nice vibe to the pub as well as the accommodation.

We were upgraded to a room which was over the bar. It was larger than the original one but we feared it might be noisy however this hotel showed what could be done with professional insulation and despite the bar being noisy we didn't hear a thing. There was a very large bathroom and the breakfast was excellent
