The room was a good size and lovely and clean. The bed was very comfortable indeed and the duvet kept us nice and warm. There was plenty of storage for clothes and stuff. The bathroom was wonderfully bright and light, clean and the shower very good. The position of the hotel in relation to the best sights to see in Lincoln is perfect. The breakfasts we had over our stay were lovely, plenty of it and cooked extremely well.

The room itself was rather gloomy the centre light was quite dim but the décor dull and would benefit from being nice an brightly decorated. The tea and coffee was a little disappointing with not really enough tea and milk to get two cups a day each as we liked a cup early mornings and just before bed. The high service charge in the bar was unexpected and you could not go to the bar to get a drink, nice to have the service but the cost is rather high.

We loved our stay at the White Hart, unfortunately the morning of breakfast there was a gas issue in the kitchen which meant they could not offer a cooked breakfast. Instead a continental breakfast was provided which was very nice. We were disappointed but happy with the alternative given the circumstances. Then to our surprise on checking out we were refunded the breakfast element and also given additional money back as compensation without mentioning. This was greatly appreciated and great service.

Great location in the heart of historic Lincoln. A smart cocktail bar and restaurant downstairs and comfy bedroom. Brilliant place to stay at a great price. Breakfast was delicious.

Nothing to dislike

Location , food , staff . Location easy parking 2 minutes walk , 2 mins from cathedral and same again for castle . If you're into shopping only 10 mins walk to town centre high street and a nice walk around the waterfront . But a hike back up "steep hill" not for feint hearted but really not too bad ..... Food plenty of bars and restaurants around the hotel but we stayed in the antlers restaurant which is part of the hotel which also offers bar food . Drinks are well stocked however surprised at lack of "whisky" .... Breakfast plenty to choose from however our last day wife ordered fruit and french toast with maple syrup but the syrup did not materialise but the breakfast is a good choice .staff ....very good but chap who booked us in was a bit like end of shift and was polite but just "pointed" the way to the room however guy who was on door with bowler hat and tweed jacket on was top notch really helpful "showing us rather than pointing"... One other thing 10% service charge is standard on bill , don't do what I did and tip more !! ..... Definitely worth a stay though .....

Standard service charge !! Not into that it should be more prominent on the menu and pointed out when you are ordering your food , we weren't .......

Fantastic location between the Castle and the Cathedral. The hotel is currently being renovated to a high standard and it is not the finished article yet. The "cosy double" was indeed very small but the bathroom and shower were really nice. All the staff were lovely and the breakfast plentiful and cooked to order. Also liked the cocktail bar which was very stylish.

Workmen on the fire escape outside our room from 7am. Noise from a dehumidifier or air con unit meant windows couldn't be left open so the room was stuffy and hot. Antlers restaurant was disappointing. The hotel was not full so management could have (maybe should have) upgraded our stay as they were aware of the renovations.

Breakfast and dinner were very good. Location was excellent for visiting cathedral, castle and museums. There is a regular Walk and Ride bus shuttle service from down town up to hotel and cathedral quarter. Classic double room was quite compact but had everything you would need - kettle, coffee machine, fridge, safe etc Bathroom very spacious and newly renovated. Little gifts like local cookies were a nice touch. Staff lovely and friendly.

No hotel parking so had to use 24hr public parking paying daily. Worth noting the hotel is undergoing renovations. Minimal disruptions although work is going on during the day so some noise. Evenings were obviously quieter.

Comfortable easy access room as requested, good breakfast and friendly staff.

The temperature was uncontrollable in our room which was a bit on the warm side for a sound sleep. With variable pricing, it was a bit expensive side on a Saturday, but worth it. The total lack of a car park was worrying, but worked out ok in the end.

A positive experience from start to finish. The room was lovely, the bed was comfy and a good king size, the bathroom had nice touches like a fog-free mirror and controls for the shower which you could select without having to reach in and get hit with a stream of cold water before it comes to temperature. There was a range of great soaps and lotions, coffee and tea options were plentiful, and nice touches like a fridge and safe are always welcomed. The bar was sophisticated and the staff were very friendly and were able to discuss different drink options if you need some advice. The breakfast had a range of great hot options as well as an impressive selection of cereals, breads, jams and cold meats. Overall, it was a great stay and I'd be happy to visit again.

Room, location were great. Evening entertainment was excellent (live singer) and the bar staff were very attentive.

Were seated next to a very drunk couple, despite the restaurant being empty. We were already eating when the couple arrived - the food and beverage were very nice but the whole evening was spoilt by the other couples behaviour - they were loud, obnoxious and dismissive of the staff. It was a shame as other than this it would have been a fantastic birthday meal and night's stay for my partner and I. Whilst I would stay in the hotel again, I would think twice about using the restaurant. It was a shame that the couple were allowed to stay as they complained throughout about their meal, and afterwards continued to be served in the hotel bar despite their obvious inebriation. We ended up retiring early to our room just to avoid the spectacle.

The location was excellent, and everyone was very helpful.

Unfortunately, builders were still at the property, and we were a little disappointed that we didn't get to see the view of the cathedral through the restaurants glass roof.
