Our 2nd stay here as it is a perfect location for visiting family who live in Market Rasen. Handy too for the Saturday parkrun at the race course. Although no on-site parking we got parked easily nearby and for free. The food is very good and a good choice on the menu for both breakfast and evening dinner.
We stayed in room 4. It was small and very warm. I opened the window and there was a bit of noise overnight from the road. The bed wasn’t particularly comfortable and we only had one pillow each. The kettle provided didn’t fit under the tap so I had to fill it up by pouring water in from one of the cups. Each night we had to ask for water from the bar as none was put in the room. The room was a bit tired and could do with some renovation. In the bathroom the shower head needed descaling and the seal was loose on the shower. Water didn’t drain away very well. We had 3 nights and our room wasn’t serviced at all. Not a huge problem but unusual as I’d only experienced this during COVID.

All of the staff were welcoming and friendly and the room and public areas were nicely decorated. The room was a little small but was comfortable and we only booked a basic double for three nights so not a problem at all. The food was all good quality with imaginative options, especially the breakfast; it was a cut above what we were expecting for what we expected to be a pub with rooms.
There's nothing I can think of that would have made the stay any better.

Convenient having the restaurant on site but expensive for what it was and little choice on the menu for our meals but breakfast was lovely other than the bacon was over cooked and inedible both mornings. Hotel provided a fan and heater in the room. Overall clean other than a couple of cobwebs on the bed head and brown liquid around toilet hinges but it mostly wiped off.
Very limited parking across the road. We were lucky to get a place but didn't dare move the car for the 2 nights in case we couldn't get a space when we came back. Had to use things to prop open the window as it would just slide closed instantly.

The hotel generally was excellent as were the staff & the breakfasts we had. We were there to meet up with family & the location of this hotel was very good.
There are no car parking facilities on site but there is a public car park nearby. This does mean having to carry luggage etc a distance which isn't easy for us over 70s! Also the room we were in was vey small. In itself that wasn't a problem for a short stay but we did have a problem with charging phones, iPads etc as there were only 2 available sockets in the room & this meant unplugging the bedside lamps. OK in daylight but not overnight! We did cope though...

Lovely Hotel. Great staff. The food was excellent, the breakfast menu had a great choice, freshly cooked, no awful buffet and toast machine 😁 Dinner was very good and the Sunday roast was the best I've had. (Personally I'm not a fan of roasts and hate carvery so that is a great recommendation) Close to everything including just a 5 minute walk to the Railway station. Good size rooms and walk in shower. Very clean.
Not a complaint but an observation which applies to the many many hotel rooms I've stayed in. Would love a couple of hooks to hang coats up plus somewhere in the bath room to put toiletries. Note there is no lift so 2 flights of stairs to the top floor.

This was our first time visiting Market Rasen, The Advocate Arms is very centeal and perfectly located. The car park is only a 2 mins walk to the hotel and is very reasonably priced. Our room was large, with lovely comfy bed, beautifully furnished. The onsuite bathroom was roomy with a good strength shower. We had a delicious evening meal and a good size, tasty, full Lincolnshire breakfast.

Super comfy bed, breakfast was superb. Clean and tidy and lovely friendly staff.
Toilet seat didn't fit, it had been replaced with one half the size. A bottle of water would have been nice as the tap water wasn't very nice. Loads of flavoured tea packets but only 1 coffee and 1 ordinary tea. Bed sheet was a quilt cover not a sheet and didn't fit.

Me and my wife came for a night away on a rare night we where child free. We had a brilliant stay and couldn’t recommend this place enough. We arrived and parked across the road with free parking nearly at the front door. Upon looking at the hotel from the outside we both immediately thought it looked a little run down and a bit shabby. This was NOT the case from the second you walk in the front door the decor is classy and elegant and has a very nice vibe and all the staff where very welcoming. We stayed in a superior king room and the room itself was absolutely massive and again very nicely decorated couldn’t of asked for more. The shower was brilliant with a bath. The bed was super comfy and huge there was also some complimentary coffee and hot chocolate which was lovely. We had opted for the option upon booking which was superior king room breakfast and dinner and we are so glad we did the food was absolutely beautiful the scotch eggs for starter was to die for and the tomato chutney was incredible. For mains we had the belly pork which again was as 10/10 couldn’t of asked for better. We also ordered a fish pie which in all honesty I regretted ordering because my partners belly pork blew it out of the park however it was still nice. The deserts was absolutely the best part of the stay they was incredible worth the money alone we had the sticky toffee pudding which partner has absolutely everywhere we go and she said it was her favourite ever so that is high praise! I had the lemon tart and it was quite possibly the perfect dessert I wouldn’t of changed a thing! Another side note the cocktails where fantastic and a good choice of larger on tap to. Never waiting for drink the staff were supper attentive and was always there to bring another to us. Thank you for a brilliant night away and we shall be back soon that’s for sure!
Honestly no cons on our stay!

Great cooked breakfast. Very good menu for the evening meal and the food was of a very high standard. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room and bathroom was very clean and the bed was comfortable.
No parking. Although free public parting is available just across the road. Would have been nice to have a small cosy area somewhere to have a drink, if you're not eating.
