The room was clean and tidy. The staff were friendly, helpful and polite. The Tower Hotel was ideally located for exploring much of Lincoln. It is within a few minutes walk of Lincoln Cathedral, Lincoln Castle, Steep Hill and the Museum of Lincolnshire Life. It is also very near a number of pubs and restaurants. There are a number of choices for breakfast including cereals, pastries and cooked options.
Lack of bedside lamp that could be turned off without having to go across the room. There is perhaps a need for more power sockets. The television was a little tricky to work/understand.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming without being too fussy, helped us with our luggage and when unfortunately my hubby was unwell they were considerate and brought food to our room as he was unable to go down to the restaurant. The chef is second to none, his food was absolutely FIRST CLASS, delicious and generous portions. Superbly positioned for The Castle, The Cathedral, we even enjoyed The Steep Hill.....boy it really is STEEP, but worth the effort. WOULD highly recommend The Tower Hotel Lincoln.

All the staff at the hotel were welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was cooked to order, very tasty, the scrambled eggs were buttery and fluffy, delicious. We could see the side wall of the castle from the Hotel room, and it was a short five minute stroll to the Cathedral, Castle, and all the local pubs and restaurants. We would definitely stay at The Tower Hotel again.
There was an electric heated towel rail in the bathroom, which was controlled by the hotel management, but the towel rail was not switched on. I queried this, and the rail was switched on for a couple of hours the first night, but after that, it was cold. It would be good if the management put the facility on for at least a couple of hours in the morning or evening. We stayed in room 11 on the second floor, but would choose a first floor room next time, so not so many stairs to climb.

The location is amazing - a couple of minutes walk from the cathedral and castle. The hotel overlooks the castle walls. There is a lovely bar and restaurant in the hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful - from the front desk, to the young man who helped with our cases, the serving staff at breakfast and the cleaning staff - all lovely. Breakfast was included and there was a good choice. The food was delicious and fresh and nicely served. This place is a gem.
Only complaint would be how hard the mattress and pillows were. I have a firm mattress at home but the bed in room 9 was uncomfortable and it affected my sleep. The pillows were also very hard.

This is a beautiful, individual, boutique hotel. We stayed in a superior double room, which had a fridge as well as the expected amenities. The bathroom had a bath with a rain shower over it. The complementary toiletries were certificated Vegan and had the bunny logo, as well as being good quality. Breakfast was freshly cooked, using produce from local farms and bakeries. There was plenty of choice to suit all dietary preferences. The bar and restaurant is also used by locals, however it isn't noisy or rowdy, and it makes for a pleasant atmosphere. The courtyard garden is a pretty bonus as well. The location is next to the castle, so suitable for people who don't want to climb up Steep Hill to get to the cathedral or castle.
Please be aware that there are no lifts in the hotel.

The hotel is well-located for the historical parts of Loncoln, especially the castle and the cathedral. The hotel staff were thoroughly helpful, friendly and professional. The hotel is quiet. The rooms (we had two) were comfortable and you could get a good night's sleep. The breakfasts were excellent.
The Wi-Fi was awful. My bete noire of hotels is the showers (neither room had a bath). The shower we had was easy to switch on and control the temperature (not always a given), but the main shower was no use if you didn't want to get your hair wet. The hand-controlled shower was most peculiarly arranged. Like most hotels these days, the rooms had a proliferation of quite useless cushions.

The hotel is right in the centre of Lincoln with only a short walk to the cathedral and castle - no need to walk up the hill. The hotel has its own restaurant and bar - we ate there and the food and wine/beer were good, however, it is only a short walk to other restaurants in the old part of Lincoln. The room was very comfortable and quiet and staff were excellent. A bonus was that I could park the car of the street over night without cost (£10 refundable deposit for parking voucher). There was a good choice for breakfast and the food was very good. Simply an excellent stay.

The hotel was in good location. It was in the quiet side of city, up the hill, near the castle. The hotel offered us a parking permit, to park outside the hotel. It cost £10, but was refundable on return. The hotel only had a twin left, but they were happy to push the beds together to make it into a double for my husband and I. The beds were comfortable and the room had plenty of facilities. Cooked breakfast was lovely.
The shower was not very powerful, was more of a dribble. The bar was very busy in the evening, was open to the public, it was too busy to eat in. There is a restaurant, but a reservation is needed, the restaurant is a little small, but quaint. There could of been more cereal selection, such as Muesli. at breakfast. The cereal selection was quite basic.

We got to the hotel and for some reason we thought the hotel was the actual big water tower in the pictures then quickly realised we were being stupid (I don’t think we are the only people to think that!) When we walked in the restaurant and bar looked amazing and we were lucky enough to get a free permit spot right outside but there was a car park literally right opposite anyway so it was a great start. We were very early so we semi checked in and the lady on reception who was very friendly said they will try clean our room first so early check in maybe possible and to our delight a few hours later we got a call to say our room was ready. We entered our room and it was really comfy and clean, however there was a horrible sewage smell coming from the bathroom, I asked the same lady on reception if something could be done and the lady came up with one of the cleaners and said that because the building is old they sometimes get blocked pipes, they put a lot of solution down the shower and toilet and now we were left with a strong chemical smell, in the back of my mind all I was wanting was a room change and to my relief the lovely lady offered us another room which we accepted. When we arrived at the new room we both said wow, it was obviously one of the most expensive rooms in the hotel which sadly highlighted to my girlfriend that I was being slightly cheap!!! The new room was perfect, wonderfully decorated, spacious, the bed was so comfortable, the bathroom and shower were great and there was an added bonus of Netflix being on the TV, the free breakfast was amazing too!!

The staff were extremely friendly and couldn't do enough. We were upgraded to a superior room/suite, so it was really excellent value. The room was really spacious with a bath and a shower. One of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had. All cooked fresh, very impressive. I was told about the free parking permit, which was a deposit of £10, then reimbursed at the end of the stay. Rooms were spotless. On the first day the heating went off and it was cold in the room, but as soon as I enquired it was put back on again (it had been an oversight only) Would definitely stay again.
It was a bit difficult to get a seat in the bar (as clearly very popular) but it was Christmas time, so no real issue.
