Beautiful, old country house hotel. Spacious room, excellent breakfasts, and friendly staff. Plenty of parking, and short walk to the centre of the village.
Nothing!

I very rarely give full marks for a stay but the Washingborough Hall House thoroughly deserves them. The staff were all excellent, calm, efficient and very professional. The bedroom was ideal with a super bed and pillows and the dinners and breakfasts exceptional. There was an overall aura of calm and fortunately we stayed for 5 nights. It did seem the majority of people left after one day which is not really long enough.
There is little I could mention though the only thing would be the bar area after Dinner. There are two lovely rooms but there seems little encouragement for people to use them and if you want a drink you have to go and find someone to help and certainly we were never asked if we wanted another one. This did seem a bit out of keeping with everything else about the place. Maybe this is a different scenario for the week end.

Beautifully cooked fresh breakfasts, served in a timely way. Breakfast service was prompt and well organised. Small breakfast buffet available alongside cooked options , but fresh, well presented choices. Our room was comfortable, warm and well appointed and absolutely perfect for our needs. We travelled with two small dogs, and had a room with easy access outdoors to a private, enclosed small garden and thence to the car park. Staff were always available and were friendly and well informed. The gardens were an absolute delight to look out on and wander around, even this early in the season.

Had a lovely time. Beautiful place. Just a few ‘buts’ mainly in bathroom. Particularly loved the look of the shower with wood and leather. There was nowhere in our bathroom to put anything apart from the top of the loo. It needs a couple of shelves near the bath and the washbasin. We found the bed very hard also. Love a big bed and that is what we got, but oh so hard. I found the beautiful curtains let too much light in the room early morning but the worst thing was the thrumming and rattling noises from fans? in the kitchens first thing. If we had been staying longer we would have moved rooms. All just for your info. We loved the place and all staff just lovely.

On arrival the staff were extremely helpful and attentive. My booked room was a large single which exceeded expectations. Very comfortable bed, large bathroom, with the most amazing hot, powerful shower! Had room service which was great, and the food was very tasty. The breakfast and service on the first morning of my two night stay was exceptional, and my room was made up before I got back. Parking free on site.
It's not a criticism as such, the building is old so sound proofing not great. I could hear coughing from next room on the first night and whatsapp messages pinging on the second night. Luckily otherwise guests quiet, but would've been kept awake if they were more rowdy! Breakfast on second morning not as good as first morning. Poached egg whites not quite cooked.

The grounds were attractive, although not extensive. On arrival, the welcome was warm and professional. Our room, in the annex, was comfortable. As there is no lift, there may be difficulties for those with mobility issues. We had pre-dinner drinks in the bar area, which was comfortable. Our dinner was very good indeed. We were told it was the first day of the new menu. There was a good choice and our meals were very tasty and well-presented. The staff were efficient and pleasant. Overall, a very nice hotel for a quiet and relaxing stay.
Nothing.

Beautiful building set in lovely grounds. Plenty of space to park. Staff were exceptional, attentive, efficient, helpful and polite. Lovely lounge/bar area that serves superb snacks. The restaurant is very elegant and the food was incredible. Bed was comfy, standard double was plenty big enough, excellent en suite bathroom.
The standard rooms are a bit of a trek from the lobby, plenty of stairs as you would expect from an older building. Would prefer a coffee/tea machine in the room instead of the old school kettle, and there was no full fat milk to be had anywhere!

The hotel is in a convenient location a short drive from central Lincoln, off a quiet drive and surrounded by attractive gardens. We had a friendly and warm welcome from the staff, and enjoyed two quiet nights in a comfortable room, great breakfast and an exceptional dinner on the first night for which we booked when making our hotel booking. The hotel was clean and well maintained, and we appreciated the availability of a variety of additional types of tea and extra milk, easily obtained from a station on a nearby landing.
Very little not to like. Having booked a higher grade room, we were disconcerted to be directed downstairs from the reception entrance and perhaps a little disappointed that our room therefore was a bit dark and had no particular view, just of a gravel pathway and outbuilding, though it was spacious. Whilst this did not contradict any of the previous information sent when booking, it might have been helpful to understand the variety of possible choices and views of rooms as we might have chosen to upgrade further for this birthday weekend.

The breakfast was excellent, a really good selection and the quality was exceptional. The whole stay was really great, staff very good and nothing was an effort. We also had dinner at the hotel that was also really good. We were also lucky to have stayed a couple days after their Christmas decorations were put up including the outside lights.
Not sure there was anything that we did not like, only that we were not staying longer, as we were staying on the top floor the bathroom did not have enough space for a shower to be mounted on the wall, but that was it.

Lovely old property with beautiful decor and sumptuous furnishings. Breakfast was really good, the vegetarian option was perfect using all fresh ingredients. A nice surprise was the free standing bath and complimentary Arran toiletries . Convenient for bus service to Lincoln City centre. We enjoyed sitting outside on the patio area overlooking the gardens.
The duvet was rather heavy for summer use. Didn't like the outside lights on at night , but keeping the curtains and shutters closed tight prevented airflow. To be fair there was an electric fan provided which was effective but too noisy to keep on all night.
