Every single thing about our stay was epic. We stay every year for a 1940's event we attend and we'll continue booking and staying here as we love it (we've stayed every year for the past 7 years). Room was lovely and had everything we needed. Check in very easy - no issues. Staff very helpful and lovely. Atmosphere amazing and even though its a very busy popular place for food and drinks - the noise is certainly not a problem. Had an amazing night's sleep. Breakfast was everything we needed and so much more. Gorgeous! and it set us up for the day. Staff were amazing. We love staying here. Well done everyone involved in making our stay epic again!

The room was clean and tidy. The staff were friendly, helpful and polite. The Tower Hotel was ideally located for exploring much of Lincoln. It is within a few minutes walk of Lincoln Cathedral, Lincoln Castle, Steep Hill and the Museum of Lincolnshire Life. It is also very near a number of pubs and restaurants. There are a number of choices for breakfast including cereals, pastries and cooked options.

Lack of bedside lamp that could be turned off without having to go across the room. There is perhaps a need for more power sockets. The television was a little tricky to work/understand.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming without being too fussy, helped us with our luggage and when unfortunately my hubby was unwell they were considerate and brought food to our room as he was unable to go down to the restaurant. The chef is second to none, his food was absolutely FIRST CLASS, delicious and generous portions. Superbly positioned for The Castle, The Cathedral, we even enjoyed The Steep Hill.....boy it really is STEEP, but worth the effort. WOULD highly recommend The Tower Hotel Lincoln.

The Tower is situated at the top of a very steep hill (hence the name Steep Hill). Situated in the old part of the City and very near the most beautiful Cathedral. Also near the castle. The rooms were nicely decorated with comfortable beds and clean towels every day. Tea,coffee and biscuit tray. All the staff were very friendly. Breakfast choice was good and plentiful and we ate in the bar and restaurant two nights running. They did a two course meal for £22 and three course for £25 some evenings plus A La Carte. All the food was nicely cooked and very tasty. It was very popular with both tourists and locals. My friend and myself had a twin room (4) and paid £285 for three nights including breakfast. We thought this was excellent value. Thoroughly recommend the area. For those less mobile there is a Park and Ride bus which goes frequently from bottom of the town to the top. You can also zig-zag your way up and down. Would recommend 100%.

Nothing we didn’t like. We did laugh about the small sink in the very nice bathroom as the large kettle would not fit under the tap! We just used a few glasses of water to fill it for our cup of tea in the morning. A smaller kettle (only cheap) would make a difference as you don’t need to fill a large kettle for only two people. Only a petty thing but it was quite funny and we did mention it on our last morning. They were aware of it.

Small Size, on-site restaurant, very popular bar, courtyard for sitting out. Beds were very comfortable and bathroom was large. Food was excellent. Staff were amazing. Great location - close to cathedral and castle but far enough away from the party bars

Being used to A/C not having it during a UK heatwave was a bit tough and the window in my room (#2) only opened a small distance. I think it’s because it’s above the conservatory roof Windows in my kids rooms opened fully. In-room tabletop fan was quite effective though. Stairs at front and interior were a bit of a challenge as I have upcoming hip surgery and didn’t think to check that out when I booked months before. I did manage and staff took my bags to the room. Not a good choice for those with more serious physical disability conditions.

Stayed at the Tower several times and never been disappointed ( see below ) until this trip. Excellent location a “ stones throw” from the cathedral. Complimentary street parking permit. Breakfast wide choice and cooked to order. Would stay again.

We were allocated Room 3 at the front of the building which faces south and west. The room was so hot that the shaving gel and toothpaste melted to virtually a liquid. The windows ( particularly the bathroom) need blinds to keep out the sun. The staff were very helpful in providing additional fans and ice buckets but regrettably of little use as we had the most uncomfortable night ever!

All the staff at the hotel were welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was cooked to order, very tasty, the scrambled eggs were buttery and fluffy, delicious. We could see the side wall of the castle from the Hotel room, and it was a short five minute stroll to the Cathedral, Castle, and all the local pubs and restaurants. We would definitely stay at The Tower Hotel again.

There was an electric heated towel rail in the bathroom, which was controlled by the hotel management, but the towel rail was not switched on. I queried this, and the rail was switched on for a couple of hours the first night, but after that, it was cold. It would be good if the management put the facility on for at least a couple of hours in the morning or evening. We stayed in room 11 on the second floor, but would choose a first floor room next time, so not so many stairs to climb.

The location is amazing - a couple of minutes walk from the cathedral and castle. The hotel overlooks the castle walls. There is a lovely bar and restaurant in the hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful - from the front desk, to the young man who helped with our cases, the serving staff at breakfast and the cleaning staff - all lovely. Breakfast was included and there was a good choice. The food was delicious and fresh and nicely served. This place is a gem.

Only complaint would be how hard the mattress and pillows were. I have a firm mattress at home but the bed in room 9 was uncomfortable and it affected my sleep. The pillows were also very hard.

This is a beautiful, individual, boutique hotel. We stayed in a superior double room, which had a fridge as well as the expected amenities. The bathroom had a bath with a rain shower over it. The complementary toiletries were certificated Vegan and had the bunny logo, as well as being good quality. Breakfast was freshly cooked, using produce from local farms and bakeries. There was plenty of choice to suit all dietary preferences. The bar and restaurant is also used by locals, however it isn't noisy or rowdy, and it makes for a pleasant atmosphere. The courtyard garden is a pretty bonus as well. The location is next to the castle, so suitable for people who don't want to climb up Steep Hill to get to the cathedral or castle.

Please be aware that there are no lifts in the hotel.

We had a lovely room over the terrace and with a good view of the Castle. The SugarBabes were playing at the Castle so we had the added bonus of being able to hear them. This was in a good location with everything in walking distance. We manage to get a parking spot outside the Hotel. We paid a refundable deposit of £10 then the Hotel gave us a permit to put in the car. The staff were all friendly and breakfast was good and plentiful. A lovely little find and would definitely recommend it

We didn't have a problem but if you were a light sleeper, our room could have been a bit noisy
