Great location near Chair Lift #2 with Van shuttle service just in case you’d rather not walk in your ski boots nor in the slush. Staff is super helpful and friendly! We also enjoyed the hot tub, fireplace in lobby and hot cocoa + popcorn bar setup every afternoon.

Rooms were quite noisy late into the night and then again early in the mornings. Breakfast was chaotic, too crowded and often they’d run out of specific items quickly due to crowds. The hotel was completely booked for New Years with large groups, so the noise and chaos could be due to how crowded the hotel was…

Provided breakfast was perfect for us. I was a little skeptical at what might be offered, but it was great! We had breakfast there every morning for 6 days. It hit the spot! Location excellent. Ski in and ski out. Very friendly staff! Friendly free shuttle to get around ski resort. Wonderful fireplace to sit around in the lodge and drink provided hot chocolate, popcorn, and cookies after a day of skiing! Really an excellent place to stay for skiing the fish! Skiing was awesome!!!

Less kids in the hot tub. Love the family friendly atmosphere though! Fan in bathroom a little loud. Restaurant in lodge not open when we were there.

-Large hot tub -Helpful, friendly staff -Perfect breakfast options for a light breakfast before skiing -My daughter loved the hot chocolate bar and popcorn and cookies served everyday around 3pm. -Coffee and hot water (for tea) was available all day long -Comfortable beds -Location is in walking distance to the upper village which are where all the restaurants are -Shuttle takes you right to the hill and the drivers are very helpful with how to get picked up at the end of the day from where ever you happen to be.

-No elevator, but not at all a big deal (we got in our extra steps being on the top floor!!!)

The location was great for a skier. Up a large mountain with ski trails just above the lodge. No food available at the lodge. Everything was in Whitefish, a 5-6 minute drive down the mountain. The front desk staff was very accommodating with our having purchased two separate room types for a two night stay. There was no elevator, so beware when choosing a room. Quite a lovely place for a couple of night's stay.

There is no elevator making it annoying to drag your things up and down the stairs. Parking in front of the lodge is at a premium. There is a lower lot for those who arrive late.

The property is well maintained. I think they cover up the beauty of the lodge with things meant to protect it (like rugs or mats). It’s really a pretty lodge when you soak it in

No elevator so had to rely on porters to help with the heavier bags. They were prompt, though. My fridge had ice that took over the freezer part and made it a bit of a challenge to use. Never figured out how to turn off the floor lamp in my room, ended up unplugging it

The scenery was so peaceful. Deer were right outside our window. Beds were the best. I've never slept sooo good. The lodge has a rustic look, but with modern amenities. I would give it a nine out of 10.

There was no ground floor rooms, so you have to climb stairs. The toilets sat low. Harder to get up when you're older. I thought when I booked the stay, the price was for 3 days. It wasn't. It was only the cost for one day. There is no restraunt on site . Breakfast is limited. You have to go to town for a meal other than breakfast. Whuch is only like 10 minutes & a beautiful drive.

I enjoyed the healthy breakfast options but my husband would have preferred something hardier like eggs, sausage, biscuits. Great fitness room! Best part was the fireplace!!!

No elevator, so had to lug our luggage up two flights of stairs. But, that was only a problem for check in and check out. No parking, had to park in the lot across the street. Again, not terrible except when you arrive after dark and it’s had to see where you are walking.

The breakfast was a nice surprise. We knew it was included but was much more than expected. LOVED the waffles. The popcorn and hot drinks post ski day was a nice touch as well. We loved the homy feel of the "Living room" area and the live music on our last night. The hot tub and sauna were also nice to have after a long day. We liked the boot and ski rooms and the readily available shuttle to the lifts in the morning.

Im sure everyone says this but an elevator would have been nice since we were on the third floor but it felt more like a home or cabin using the stairs. Only mattered when hauling our luggage but the staff was kind and offered to help with that.

Love staying at the Kandahar, its a true classic ski lodge with all the amenities. The free breakfast and after ski treats like cookies, popcorn and hot chocolate is a really nice touch. The front lobby with comfy sofas and big fire place gives the lodge a home type feel, staff is very friendly and helpful. Also good location and the ski in/out is very handy. This is my 2nd stay here and will do again.

Hot tub slightly dirty.

The main living had a great fireplace that the staff kept the fire going at all times. There was plenty of seating areas in the living room. The breakfast was very good. A variety of choices. Our room had a queen bed and a pull out sofa which was extremely comfortable. The room had a table and chairs by the window which was nice. Also the room had a refrigerator. Free Wi-Fi and lots of channels on the TV which, for us, really didn’t matter. Quick ride into Whitefish which offered lots and lots of dining options as the restaurant at the Lodge was not open due to a change in ownership but we were told it would be open in time for ski season. While the sauna was inoperable, the Lodge did have a nice size hot tub.

For anyone who is physically challenged or has a difficult time going up flights of stairs, there is no elevator. The staff was more than willing to take our luggage to our room. For seniors who may not be in the best of health, the stairs may present somewhat of a challenge. Also, there was very limited parking directly in front of the Lodge. However, there was plenty of parking across the street in a dirt/gravel lot.
