Excellent stay, loved the pool, beautiful beach to walk depending on tides. Short walk into town. Staff were super friendly and helpful. From the reception staff, Sudo and team at breakfast and the ground staff keeping the place immaculate. Thanks for a lovely stay. Mark & family ❤️

Nice pool, close to where we wanted to be, the swimming pool and bar were good, I would stay again but in a normal room rather than a villa.

Villas had very little soundproofing, seemed to be prefabricated, with thin floors and walls, only a curtain separating bedroom to toilet, no privacy when taking a s##t, pool villa pool wasn't worth having it was more like an outside bath tub.

This is a lovely hotel in a good beach side location with the most amazing swimming pool and has a large number of sun loungers, no fighting for them like some other hotels. We had a very comfortable seaview room with a balcony overlooking the pool to the sea, in our opinion the best room option at the hotel.    The breakfast is good and the staff are very friendly. It is very easy to walk to markets, cafes, and restaurants, and Haad Rin Beach (definitely grab a beanbag chair for the 7pm fire shows). We really enjoyed Pure Joy and Mama Jai restaurant, which is a 5 min walk from the hotel and has excellent food at very good prices. We would highly recommend staying here. 😀

If you book the island tour with the hotel don’t bother with the waterfall in the dry season as it was 100 Baht to eaten by mosquitos and see a pile of dry rocks, there is no water in the waterfall 😪 Food and drinks at the hotel are too expensive, at least double the price of nearby restaurants and bars.

We had an awesome stay at Vannee Golden Sands and can highly recommend this resort. The staff was extremely helpful, and responsive to queries I had prior to the trip. The staff also went out of their way to make our friend's birthday a very special and memorable celebration. The pool and swim-up-bar was fantastic as well (can recommend the pina colada cocktails). The breakfast offered a wide variety of sweet and savoury items, which was great and fresh. I enjoyed the spa and sauna facilities.

A great improvement would be to provide gowns in the rooms, and perhaps a slightly better coffee station set up in the room. All-in-all, a fantastic resort, that was worth every cent! Thanks.

Pool was great, although salt water - nice and cool Bed were soft, which were great Rooms cleaned well every day Food was good, but at times had to catch someone's attention to order, which was not easy at times Gym was really good Location was good, and bad - away from the noise but on a busy road Hotel staff really good The hotel is really nice, just a few tweaks here and there. Overall, I would return, except for ferry ride - that can be interesting at times

Beach was disappointing, compared to many others on the island Some guests just didn't appreciate that others around didn't want to hear them shout all the time at each other - lower the volume. Sun beds got soaked, the cushions never put away, and the metal framed sunbeds, not comfy at all Gym was good, but the rules need to be applied - kids present, flips flops or bare feet, speakers playing loud music, no towels, no disinfectant, kids running round, equipment not put away (lazy people, but back to the nationalities involved) One room key, pulsating shower, flashing fire detector, bright aircon display, flashing key slot all made it a disco at night.

Large nice room. Huge pool area, room for everyone. Clean, modern hotel which is not always easy to find in Koh Phangnan. The location is good, at least we enjoyed the village but we visited when it was NOT full moon party. I can imagine the village having a complete different vibe during full moon. Very far from places like zen beach but we of course knew that. Local taxi service is available and easy to use but not very comfortable haha. Be aware that the route to haad rin is VERY hilly and dangerous so its not for inexperienced scooter drivers. Hotel staff very nice.

Breakfast wasnt great. Weird coffee system. We were lucky to get upstairs room so noice was not an issue but we heard our own foot steps, cant even imagine how it sounds for the room down below. Also big minus for NO DOOR FOR BATHROOM!! just a curtain. To what sort of travelers is that designed for? I cant imagine anyone enjoying that literally zero noise or smell privacy

The resort itself is absolutely beautiful with breath taking views of the sunset. We booked the Suite Villa with Sea View and were placed in the downstairs villa which did not resemble the photos which left us quite disappointed. However, the operations manager was quick to swap us to the upstairs room. Once we swapped rooms, we had the best stay and were very happy. The staff here are amazing. Breakfast was great but go early as it gets super busy and isn't big enough to cater for the flood of guests.

Just be warned, if you book the Suite Villa with Sea View ask for the villa upstairs as it's the only villa that looks like the picture. Not much to do in Haad Rin. My partner and I are not party people, so we avoided going when the full moon parties were on however that meant that Haad Rin was a complete ghost town.

Some places don’t just offer you a stay—they give you an experience. And Valora Vannee Golden Sands Beachfront Resort is one of those rare gems. From the very beginning, the service was outstanding. The staff were warm, attentive, and truly went out of their way to make me feel at home. A shining example of Thai hospitality. The pool with a direct view of the sea was absolutely spectacular. Floating there while the sun dipped into the ocean in a swirl of golden colors was pure magic. The restaurant also provided excellent service, with delicious dishes and kind, attentive staff throughout. The resort is very close to Haad Rin Beach, known for its beauty and the iconic Full Moon Parties—yet the location is peaceful enough for a relaxing escape when you want it. But here’s what really made my experience unforgettable: I accidentally left behind my electric toothbrush, and not only did the staff find it—they kindly and honestly arranged to have it sent all the way to Phuket! That level of honesty and kindness is rare and truly worth highlighting. 🙏 I am so happy and grateful I chose this place. If you’re looking for a perfect blend of comfort, beachfront beauty, and genuinely caring service, this resort is a wonderful choice.

Absolutely stunning resort. Clean room and beautiful view. Lovely restaurant with an extensive menu and attentive staff. We really enjoyed our stay. Would recommend.

The wind was quite bad throughout our stay, not sure if this is just how the island is. The hot water in our shower wasn’t extremely warm but they did try fix it for us. Make sure you come here for the resort and not the beach as the beach infront of the hotel is not very nice.

Absolutely amazing hotel! The facilities were beautiful—stylish, clean, and thoughtfully designed. Everything from the pool area to the lounge spaces had a luxurious feel, and the atmosphere was so relaxing. The staff were warm and attentive, and every detail felt well taken care of. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay—would highly recommend and definitely return!

There was a wedding taking place during our stay, and unfortunately, some of the guests were quite demanding and didn’t seem very respectful toward the staff. It created a bit of an uncomfortable atmosphere at times.
