Breakfast of full English and cooked fresh. None of those awful experiences where they keep food warm under a lamp for an hour. Full choice of cereals, juices, yogurts. Tea-coffee on tap also. Fresh fruit…..You couldn’t ask for more as a start for the day. Double bed was very comfy. Picture on booking dot com shows a superior room bed that is three pillows wide. Ours was just a normal sized bed so you may need to check on that.
We stayed in a superior room. I was quite surprised the superior rooms seemed to be in the basement. Therefore there was only a small window which looked out at grass level. Outside the window were quite a lot of cigarette ends which had clearly been there for a while. It would be obvious to any person cleaning the window they were there but hadn’t been picked up. The room had a jacuzzi bath but we didn’t use it. Looked like it had seen better days and had a few Polyfiller repairs.

The hotel is very well run and it feels like a family business. The beds are extremely comfortable. The bathrooms are quite well equipped. Parking available but limited but good overnight parking across the road. Excellent breakfast. A simple buffet, superb coffee machine, first class cooked breakfast (including porridge) made to order. Main positive is incredibly friendly staff, they couldn’t do enough for you.
Maybe the rooms are a bit small for a 7 night stay. Usual problem with having the room cleaned and made up each day or not. This is something a lot of hotels lack clarity about

Our room was fully equipped with everything we needed. Breakfast which was included in the price of the room was amazing, great choice available and first class quality ingredients used, our personal tastes were catered for. The staff in the hotel across the board went out of their way to make us feel welcome and was too much trouble for them. The pleasant location on Kirkgate opposite the church provided a great base for us to explore the area. Please tell Lee and his grandma, they’ve done an amazing job on the garden. Many thanks for everything.
There was nothing to criticise negatively.

Room was a bit small but there was everything we needed for a short stay. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was great, definitely above average. Within easy walking distance of restaurants and pubs. Garden in front of the hotel is attractive and well cared for.
There was parking behind the hotel. Parking wasn’t easy due to the residents parked cars, and made worse by someone inconsiderate parking their huge black van/people carrier so close that we couldn’t even open the door to our car (and we have a disabled badge). It was only possible to turn in one direction to exit our space due to the size and position of the black vehicle.

Tremendous assistance from Callum as I checked in. Upgraded to double room, although I booked a single. Maybe because I'm not great with stairs and it was the closest. It was very much appreciated. Room looks recently updated. Everything I needed was there, including a hairdryer and a rubber mat for the shower. Even a place for the soap in the shower! It was very warm weather, so only the duvet cover was on the bed. The duvet was folded in the wardrobe. Great idea. Excellent breakfast, really first class. Able to choose items from a menu, plus help myself to fruit, cereals, drinks, and pastries. Service was amazing. They even served the VERY late couple who arrived after breakfast was technically finished.
The room was really hot. I opened the window but it was still really warm. Leave windows open a little in warm weather or close curtains when in full sun. The shower was a double space but weirdly opened directly onto the toilet space, so it made getting in and out slightly difficult. I think the doors were hung incorrectly. I never asked if they had non dairy milk as I took my own. I didn't see any, though.

Very attractive frontage with nicely looked after garden. Rooms were exceptionally clean. We were a group of fourteen and no one had any complaint about their room. Breakfast was cooked to order (if required) and was plentiful and delicious. A lovely range was also available for continental breakfast. There was a plentiful supply of cereals, bread, tea and coffee. The service, by all staff was fabulous. Any information we required regarding restaurants, pubs or just general directions was readily provided. All round, the welcome we received was above and beyond what we expected. A big thank you to all.
Parking at times must be difficult, as it is a little limited and on a first come first served basis. As a large group we were able to organise a ‘block each other in’ policy as we chose to walk everywhere over our three days. This also left free spaces for other guests. There is, however street parking around and even a public car park nearby.

Excellent value for money. On site parking. Very helpful and friendly staff. Very comfortable and well equipped room ( useful to have an iron and board. Lovely breakfast. Good location.
Maybe a little bit more attention to cleaning low down ( skirting board, floor in the corners of the bathroom and around the outside of the shower. )Fresh pastries rather than in packets would be nicer. It’s worth reminding guests that if they use the car park, be mindful that there are two rows for parking and you can get boxed in and unable to get out again in the evening. These are really minor points and they would not put me off staying again. We had a lovely stay.

From the moment we arrived at this charming, family-run hotel, we knew we were in for a treat. "Lovely" doesn't even begin to cover it – it felt more like stepping into a home away from home. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile and a suggestion. Our spacious room was a welcome sight, with a bed so comfortable I almost considered packing it in my suitcase! All the essentials were there, from a kettle for that much-needed cuppa to fluffy towels and ample wardrobe space. Freeview TV and Wi-Fi were the cherries on top. Breakfast was a real highlight. Forget those lukewarm buffets – here, you can start with a selection of cereals and a fancy coffee from the machine, before the friendly staff take your order for a freshly cooked breakfast. And what a menu! It was a feast for the eyes, with so many delicious options, even catering brilliantly for vegetarians and vegans. I was spoilt for choice! The location is perfect too. Check-out was a breeze at 11am, and the hotel even let me leave my car while I explored Shipley town centre, just a short five-minute stroll down the hill. Honestly, this hotel is a gem. I can't recommend it highly enough – it's the perfect place for a relaxing and enjoyable stay

Welcome by staff, his local knowledge. Closeness to amenities and restaurants. Our room provided us with the space we needed as well as plenty of hot water, a bath and fans for the warm summer evening. Even after we checked out, we were able to visit the local shops etc and leave the car in situ' - they even assured us that on our return we could 'freshen up' and have a drink before we departed - greatly appreciated.
Cereals and a hot choice of breakfast were available, and cooked to order.
