Good breakfast and plenty of it! Although The Abbey is showing signs of age and is rather dated, it is cosy and the staff are, without exception, very welcoming and friendly. It is very well situated in the centre of picturesque Great Malvern. It is quiet and close to restaurants. The Priory grounds next door are peaceful and well worth a visit. Overall the hotel is unpretentious and provided secure private parking. The ensuite bathroom was large and comfortable to use.
Although the room was clean and well serviced we felt it could do with a good 'in depth' clean (dust under the beds could be seen).

Lovely breakfast and good restaurant menu, including veggie/vegan options. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely historic building in a great location in the heart of Great Malvern.
It's a small gripe, but they clearly struggled with low water pressure. A couple of mornings the water completely stopped while I was all soaped up in the shower, a la Steve Martin in "Planes, Trains & Automobiles". The water came back after a few minutes, and the movie reference made me laugh. My advice: if you don't need to shower early in the morning, choose a later time (after 8am say!)

A beautiful building in a perfect location for walking the hills. There is a good selection of restaurants and eateries only a short walk from the hotel. Our room was comfortable and faced the Abbey at the back - I enjoyed hearing the bells! The full English breakfast was tasty, buttery mushrooms and the plates had been warmed properly. The staff were helpful and had knowledge of the walking trails. For families with children; there is a lovely park with play equipment, space to run around and a leisure centre with pool only a 5 minute walk from the hotel.
For families with children; we could only find one plug socket in our room which is tricky when everyone wants to charge devices.

Lovely building with very nice views - the hills to one side, and the old Priory to the other. Good central location. It was a flying visit to go to the theatre, but we hope to return as GM looks lovely.
I'm coeliac, so the cooked breakfast wasn't safe for me, due to gluten-free items (like the bacon) being next to non GF items (like the sausage, apparently) and the possibility of the same utensils being used. If I hadn't actually been coeliac, there would have been more choice. The waiter offered GF toast. It was a very busy dining room, so I appreciate they can't cater for everyone.

Convenient centrally located hotel close to Priory and quaint shops with excellent breakfast, parking spaces and friendly staff. My room was in the modern annex of the hotel; it was clean and a decent size with a comfortable bed. Staff were professional and friendly, accommodating our large family group in the restaurant and storing cases on the last day.
There was a lot of footfall past the room and weddings were audible from the rooms above, so I would recommend a higher floor in the main building for those wanting an early night or a lie in.

The hotel was lovely and the staff really nice. We had requested a room with a bath and had received confirmation that this had been reserved. I was disappointed when we got to our room to find we didn't have a bath and the shower was tiny. We had a view of a fire escape and a veranda, which I can only assume was where the staff lived, at 11pm for about an hour and half felt like it was party time, right in our room. It finally went quiet around half past midnight. Also, be aware that the bells at Malvern Abbey chime on the hour all through the night. We had a fabulous breakfast, and the staff were very attentive, I saw eggs on the buffet being changed out if they had been there too long. Tables were thoroughly cleaned between guests.

Breakfast was hot and plenty of choice but I would have loved some porridge, personal preference. The room was cosy and warm and comfortable. We love the location as so easy to walk into town and nearby restaurants and cafes. The staff were very friendly and so helpful. We really like this hotel and would recommend.
Water bottle top left on carpet near bathroom, difficult to see but could be painful to step on. Hot tap very stiff and difficult to turn off so kept dripping at times. Pillows were too hard for us but that’s minor detail. Room door didn’t lock easily on closing and you had to check and slam for it to lock. Could be problem if someone didn’t check. All little details which can get missed if not mentioned and wouldn’t stop us visiting again.

Beautiful grand old building but with modern rooms, well heated and well lit. The room was fairly small but perfectly adequate with all basics needed. Very quiet and restful night. Nice choice of hot drinks in the room and complimentary bottle of water. Beautiful surroundings, next to the abbey. Very handy for Malvern Theatres. Lovely comfortable bed. Very friendly, helpful staff. Good selection on offer for breakfast - cooked, pastries, yoghurt, fruit, cereals. Not cheap but loved it there!
No veggie bacon or sausages on the hot deck though I learned later that veg sausages could have been requested and provided on the day. I personally prefer to have a hot breakfast cooked to order and to be served at the table, however, the buffet-style breakfast was no big issue. Twice my key card wouldn't let me into my room but reception (24hr) rectified this immediately.

Very warm welcome from the reception staff as I arrived, room was easily accessible for me (I use a crutch most of the time to get around) only two little steps to walk up. The room was spacious and the bed was nice and comfortable. I did have a slight mishap with pressing the wrong button on the tv remote causing it to go to a blue screen but one of the staff was more than happy to come and show me how to fix it (I had accidentally changed the source -oops!). The breakfast had a good selection , the cooked options were excellent and the staff were friendly. I did sit for a little bit on my second evening in the Priory Bar, the staff were again very friendly and I must say you do a very nice hot chocolate. Check out was nice and easy.
The only downside is that there is no EV charging on site, the nearest chargers are situated on Victoria Road Car Park (Opposite The Splash Leisure Centre) which are about an 8 minute walk away and they aren’t fast chargers.

The breakfast was superb. The location was brilliant. The receptionists were oustanding, especially the lady from Romania.
Car parking was difficult. Only on one occasion did we manage to get a space in the hotel car park, but we were given a lot of help and guidance by the receptionist. The evening meals were very well prepared but expensive given the 12.5% service charge added automatically to our bill. It was said to be 'optional' but it's hard to have to ask for it to be removed given the excellence of the cooking.
