Lovely hotel quiet location but at the top of a hill so you need to be fit and healthy to go up and down. Could be fun if it was icy or snowing... Rooms were clean and comfortable and breakfast was excellent. Akureyri town is close by and The Backpackers was excellent for food and drink and the staff were really lovely. We used Viator for trips the service was excellent and Siggy our guide was top notch. Everything about this area is breathtaking. But make sure you have plenty of spare money it is VERY expensive.
Staff could have been more relaxed and friendly they were a bit serious. We met so many happy wonderful Icelandic people but not the hotel staff, they need to be more friendly.

Hotel is right by the city centre, a short walk uphill from the main high street with free onsite parking. Breakfast is good value, l ots of choices, both savoury and sweet, I would have liked to see more vegetarian options though. Hotel has an onsite restaurant and bar with happy hour.
Rooms are modern and comfortable, some questionable design choices with regards to the layout, ie absolutely no privacy when using the bathroom (just a frosted glass door) and sink is the the main bedroom area instead of the bathroom but if you're a couple it's no problem.

Very clean and warm. The staff were exceptionally polite and helpful, the room was comfortable and it had all the facilities needed. The staff seemed to go above and beyond when asked for something. I was also amazed that they had tea lights lit all day in the main foyer, it gave it a very cosy feel and I was very comfortable. The breakfast was also delicious, fresh and good quality. It’s quite expensive if you don’t have it included though so I would always recommend booking with breakfast included.

A very nice hotel not far from the city centre. Our room was very beautiful, enough space for the luggage, nice bathroom and a very good bed. We had an overview of the main road, the public pool and the mountains to the east. Even though the room was located to the main road, at night and in the morning, it was not uncomfortable or loud. Good thing Icelanders start working later in the morning. The lobby is big and inviting for a drink during the happy hour. The staff is very nice. I cannot comment on the restaurant or the breakfast, as we didn’t eat in house. They have enough parking spaces as well. Just a few minutes of walking will get you to the city centre and to the botanical garden which is a must see if you want to have a few quiet minutes for yourself or with your partner.

We were offered to bid on a room upgrade prior to arriving - I liked that. We did have a winning bid and got a deluxe room (basically a bedroom & living room area separated by a TV) with a separate shower and toilet/sink areas behind the bed. Everything was pretty comfy and decent quality. The included breakfast was pretty good, albeit with not enough variety. The location of the hotel was great - walking distance to downtown, the pool, and it had parking included, which the other main downtown hotel lacked.
The toilet/sink area wasn't that practical - for one, it didn' have a fan :-( The included breakfast was buffet style and of decent quality, but there wasn't enough variety.

We loved the warm welcome. The hotel is modern and well presented. The rooms were very spacious and had everything we needed. Wonderful big window to view the mountains! Good location near right opposite the local swimming pools, which are brilliant. I appreciated the free parking for our hire car.
Steep hill up to the hotel, but it kept us fit! Couldn't really fault the hotel.

We had a room on a high floor so good views over the swimming pools, river and mountains.
The gent on reception when we arrived adhoc was not especially helpful or friendly. Once I booked a room on line and came back to the hotel the young girl at reception was very welcoming. The large shelf behind the bed made it uncomfortable to sit up in bed ..maybe move it a little higher ?

We loved that our room had large windows looking out over the city. The excellent aquatic center is right across the street from the hotel. The food service was very good but expensive. The hotel gives a 1000 krona voucher for each night you decline housekeeping.
No exercise facilities but aquatic center is across the street. Food is expensive.

The location was good, walkable to the local pool and downtown. The night manager was very friendly and helpful. The lobby and bar area are very comfortable.
I didn't choose to add the breakfast when I booked the room, and at $30 US per person, didn't feel it was worth it. We walked down to a cafe in town and felt we did better.

Nice hotel, a short walk to the main town Extra seating in room Easy Check in
Sliding door for toilet only frosted so this felt a bit strange right next to the bed. It would have been nice to have a fridge. Sofa was facing away from TV also the tv was wall mounted but not plugged in so we had to try and plug it in behind which wasn't easy.
