Everything about the room and facilities were great. We booked a last minute budget stay here so value for money was excellent. We were placed in a room that had a small balcony with an average view so I asked for a better room and the staff were more than happy to help. We were put in a lovely room with large balcony looking over pool area and also nice tree views. The bed was huge, pool large and clean, the shower pressure was great, service was good and a good central location.

The feral Aussie bogan guests who behaved like pigs. Gives us decent Aussies a bad image.

This hotel was a quick request due to our other hotel not being up to our standards. But can I say I'm glad we booked. From the first meeting the staff were nothing hut amazing. Happy to help with anything you need. Cleaned the room daily and always greeted you with a smile. The restaurant food was to die for. Everything in the menu was outstanding!! So many options also. The location is also in a prime location

I didn't like that the towels and pillows had stains and we had to pay $18 AUD for a pillow case (due to a tattoo ink) which we can understand, it's our fault, our damage. But make sure your linen and towels are clean also

A harmonious blend of the old and the new style of architecture which worked very well. The staff, from management, reception, house keeping and restaurant were courteous, friendly and helpful at all times. They knew their guests by name, used our names often and made us feel like family. I would rate them as some of the best staff that I have ever met.

The hotel is about halfway along Poppies. 1 and transport by car, particularly if heading to airport or Sanur etc, was made a little longer because of one way streets unless the driver knew the shortcut ( there is one) or you walked from the hotel to JL Legian ( about 200 metres) and hailed a Bluebird from there. If your transport was a motor scooter it was easier as they could squeeze through where a car couldn’t go.

Location was good, central to the Kuta area and beach. Pool was clean and cool, well maintained. Rooms basic but clean, no mould or smells, air conditioning worked very well. Hot water in shower, takes a while but it does get very hot. Kettle with coffee and sugar, 2 water bottles every day. Working, clean bar fridge with small freezer. Breakfast basic but good for the price. Large menu. Staff very friendly and helpful. Gardens nice.

There wasn't anything we didn't like, our pillows were too hard for us (personal preference) so we just bought some for ourselves, only cost $4. Mattress a bit hard but we got use to it. For the price we can't complain and will definitely return. I would suggest that they have bamboo roll down blinds for the rooms facing the sun in the morning as it gets too hot to sit outside in the morning and block out curtains would help too.

The staff were amazing and friendly. The rooms were clean and tidy. The restaurant was reasonably priced. I stayed at the Jayakarta in December and found this hotel to be far cheaper, and the experience and friendliness of the staff was the experience I missed at the larger hotel.

Nothing I didn't like. The showers do leave the floors wet, but I stood on the towels which they replaced whenever you needed or at the time of room cleaning. Its just the way the bathrooms are though. But hot water and great pressure of the water.

We had breakfast included but discovered there was a better choice off of the regular breakfast menu with larger portions The breakfast was a bit small. The meals though were delicious and Bali has a big western influence with Ribs , Steaks , Pizza etc. The room was comfortable, the pool was clean and fresh towels supplied for the pool .Staff were amazing . Room was made up every day unless you told them not to. And they even decorated our room with balloons and banners ( that I supplied) and did some amazing fancy towel work as a nice surprise for my wife's birthday. The shower is a fixed head type with hot water,very hot at times. Aircon is quiet and has a sleep mode.

The hotel is over fifty years old and our bathroom was a bit tired with a stained sink and pitted plughole ( no plug ) The furniture is very old with ill fitting doors and draws which smell a bit musty so we didn't use them , instead we used a clothes rail and shelf attached to the wardrobe and wall which was adequate.( Which suggests they know about the furniture) . To move around Bali is very slow due to volume of traffic and the thousands of motorcycles and narrow roads. It took us 3.5 hours to travel 35 km on one occasion. The beach is lovely but to many old women pestering you continuously in an aggressive way so you can't relax and enjoy the scenery so we only went once which was a shame.

The staff. The location. Clean rooms. We had some issues on our stay. However the staff were so accommodating and helpful and tried to fix things very quickly. The room was always cleaned properly. The beds were so comfortable, Lean and massive.

The pool tiles needs maintenance as two people in our group cut their feet on the tiles and they are very slippery as they are just normal tiles and not proper pool tiles. We did always have hot water.

The rooms were massive and super clean. The staff were amazing, grounds were lovely and well kept. We stayed at somewhere before La Walon that was four times the price per night and our room at La Walon was cleaner and we were much happier having room to move and fresh air on the balcony.

The restaurant food / breakfast was not the greatest but for the price it was very convenient to grab the kids a quick meal if they were hungry. Although, for the price of the room we were more than happy to pay for breakfast elsewhere.

This was our 4th trip to Bali in the past two years. We have stayed at more high-end hotels in the area, but we discovered that this gem of a hotel is by far the best value when staying in Kuta. The location is excellent! You can walk to Kuta Beach in 3 minutes. There is a swimming pool. The staff are all exceptionally friendly and helpful. You can walk to all of the Kuta shopping, dining, and entertainment areas easily from the hotel. There is even live acoustic entertainment at the restaurant/bar area on some nights and sports on the TVs. Beds were very comfortable. Rooms are simple, and it's an older hotel, but it is kept very clean. You simply can not beat the value of this hotel at the prices they charge.

As stated above, it's an older property, so don't expect to walk into a 5 star hotel. But if you are looking for a simple, clean place to stay after being out touring all day, this is the place for you!

Excellent value at this older style hotel in the heart of Kuta. We had 3 rooms on 2nd & 3rd floors & while the rooms are old & not pristine, it had everything we needed: big comfy bed, great AC, TV, fridge, tea/coffee making and daily cleaning. Pool is big, clean, grounds tidy & very reasonably priced food & drink delivered to your sun lounge. Very friendly, obliging staff.

Balconies are very small on top two floors (much larger if a ground level room), curtains were thin which meant an early wake up from the sunshine.
