The location on beach front and staff who are incredible at customer service. Room was maintained daily and food was superb at every serving. Spa services good - massage next to pool was perfect. Sound of the waves is restful and views out to sea were spectacular. Parking attendants were a joy - so happy to help you.

The shower needed updating and was tricky to keep a consistent temperature. The shower screen was inefficient at keeping water in bath itself so I inadvertently flooded bathroom floor every time I showered.

Staff : From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly and helpful. They went over-and-above to serve and please. Swimming Pool : The big pool was heated ! It made such a huge difference to my experience. Took a dip early in the morning and it was just lovely to walk into a warm pool. The pool boys were very attentive and helped with umbrellas, sunbeds, supply of free water bottles etc. Breakfast : This was exceptional. A very big variety to choose from. You can also order from a menu. It was the same breakfast & layout each morning, but we never got tired of it ! The staff were also very quick to bring the best coffees and warm toast....plus there is champagne at breakfast each morning. This was a feast ! Room : All rooms have a sea-view, also overlooking the pool and the sea. The coffee machine (with pods) & cookies in the room was of very good quality and replenished twice a day. The turn-down-service in the evenings were also a nice feature and we received a different chocolate and fresh water bottles each evening. The towels in the bathroom were extra thick ! SPA : The Mangwanani Spa is small, but there are 2 gazebo's next to the swimming pool area where we had a couples massage. Security : We felt very safe. There is a security guard at the steps leading down from the swimming pool grass area down to the Umglanga Promenade. People walk & jog on this 2.5 km route from early morning. The Parkrun also starts next to the hotel (at the Whalebone Pier)....which was so convenient. We could also park our rental car behind booms inside the hotel parking area. Other : There is a meet-and-greet every weekday evening between 5pm and 6pm...and again this is such a nice extra to drink a glass of wine before dinner.

The Sugar Club restaurant and The Terrace restaurant is definately on the pricey side. We ate dinner at a different restaurant close to the hotel each evening (walking distance / 200 meters).

From the warm welcome to the thoughtful amenities and exceptional service, our stay at The Beverly Hills felt like home away from home, where every detail was desirous ultimate comfort and relaxation. Can you believe that my partner and I had this entire itinerary planned for our weekend in Durban, but we ended up being happily stuck in the premises of The Beverly Hills Hitel ❤️We are happy Clients 😀

Old building that needs a revamp. No hot water on one night, but was fixed the next day. A holding deposit was taken from my Credit Card and should have been released at check out after settling the outstanding bill. We checked out on the 23 December 2023 and the transaction hold is still pending on my account as of the 27 January 2024. The Hotel accounts department is not very helpful in resolving the issue, keeps on blaming my bank, although the hotel has placed the hold. Staff at check in not very knowledgeable about banking procedure.

One word - WONDERFUL. From the minute we walked through the entrance, the setting, the staff, the decor, the relaxed atmosphere, the cleanliness, the scent machines (makes the corridors smell fresh and floral), the rooms (we stayed before and after our 6 day Safari), THE PILLOWS! We stayed for 3 nights at Beverly Hills before going on a 6 day Safari, we had not chosen a hotel for the final nights of our holiday (after the Safari) BUT the Beverly Hills was SO AMAZING that we went back there for our final 3 nights (we upgraded to a Suite - INCREDIBLE ROOM!) as our first stay had been perfect. This was my fourth visit to South Africa and the Beverly Hills is the best (overall) hotel that I have experienced in SA!

There was some wind noise from the balcony doors at night (on the 7th floor), but we went in August so this is to be expected as this winter in SA and it can get windy on the coast!

When it comes to customer experience and service, the staff at this hotel can actually write the memo. The staff made my stay exceptional, very friendly, super helpful, always looking to assist. I also liked the idea of paying a “room service” deposit because I could just charge everything to the room.

The bedroom was a bit small, and the water while showering was leaking onto the floor, which I did inform reception about, but I don’t think much was done except to clean the water from the floor.

This was an awesome venue, we had a great view overlooking the beach. Room service was excellent and the staff was friendly. The food was amazing, at the restaurants and room service. We ordered breakfast in our room the one day and it was the same quality as the buffet. The pool is heated which made it awesome to go for an early morning swim.

The only thing I think that the hotel can improve on is swapping the bath tubs for full showers. I am not a fan of the shower in bath setup. But there was enough space to do the thing.

The staff are just so friendly and helpful, they were all very professional. They all seemed happy in their working environment and the head staff treated them all with great respect, this impressed me. Lawrence was exceptional, what an asset to your hotel. We stayed in a beautiful room with a beautiful view of the ocean, slept so well. The hotel is spotlessly clean. Food was excellent. We just love this hotel, they think of everything.

Location is amazing, right by the Indian Ocean. A short walk from restaurants and shopping malls if needed and a short Uber ride from the airport. The room was super comfortable, bed great, room clean, had a good work counter and its own balcony and view of the sea. The hotel has great reception and outdoor areas to relax. I only ate breakfast, which was very good. However the very best part of my stay was the warm, efficient and well trained staff, well done.

TV reception slightly off and some small areas that require some restoration which is not surprising given the beautiful heritage of this hotel.

The reception, the porter, car park, the food and service was exceptional. The happy hour was exceptional and worth every moment It was my birthday on the 28th, I was overwhelmed by the room preparation, the balloons, the cake , the bubble my word, out of this world 🌎. The only sleep was the invoice when we checked out. We were billed wrongly, but the last quickly sorted it out. A must come back definitely. Thanks to the whole Team You made our stay memorable. Keep it up!!!
