Good location Excellent dining facilities

Staff were reluctant to believe me when I reported room key not working despite having another staff member needing h to assist us on the night of our arrival. Morning staff, first asked me “if I was sure” about the problem I was reporting, and later said it was all fixed and they could find nothing wrong with the room lock. I also had a large well in the mattress (unfortunately on my side of the bed!) that really should have been replaced. We couldn’t cast to the tv and more than half of the free to air channels did not work. But the rooms were clean and well maintained.

My room was a little older so no super fancy electric lock or freshly tiled bathroom but none the less over all I was more than satisfied with a 9/10 stay. My expectations were met and exceeded but not in an ordinary way. I have to highlight the super friendly and charismatic staff that bumped my stay from an average stay, to a great stay. On arrival reception was great with some light laughs and we can all use a little of this in life. I had a comfortable sleep in a comfortable room 🙌. The following morning on my way to breakfast the cleaning staff were even super friendly and ‘real’ with a brief encounter. To top it off last but not least there was “my breakfast”. An awesome attitude and service was given here with staff especially TASH! A really nice bar and dining area suited for everyone including families. The ristretto was on point and most importantly, the bacon was on point! ! With a seriously generous portion of eggs Benedict I can say it’s genuinely one of the BEST breaky’s I’ve had! Note to other hotels: real smoke house bacon makes all the difference! Well done Mawson Lake Hotel 👏

Well set out, good location, everything was easy to find, parking was free of charge and the staff explained exactly where was free and where we would get fines. Mini bar was well stocked and even better priced. We were able to request a cot for the toddler at no extra charge too, where everywhere else wanted to charge $20-30

Lack of car parking.. there was 2 seperate areas of maybe 15 parks each and both were extremely difficult to navigate through in the sense that after turning the corner into the last lot of parks, it was near impossible to go back the other way to exit. As a property that is not only a hotel, but also a restaurant and a function centre, to have 30 parks maximum is a little ridiculous. They were packed and we were extremely lucky to get a park where we did. Also We were a little disappointed we couldn’t get the streaming services to connect, we tried all sorts and the tv said it was connected to the internet but we couldn’t work it out.

The location was perfect for our needs. The Restaurant food was very good and equally well priced. The staff at the front desk were very welcoming and assisted with any of my requests. Also there is a gym Pass for the GYM next to the hotel 24/7 access was charged for each 24hour access ,the rooms need a little bit update on the carpet but otherwise the bed was comfortable and the room spacious perfect. Facility car park was always available and easier to access it from the hotel. Rooms were accessible via lift or stairs.

My room was unexpectedly upgraded, which was a lovely surprise. So thank you. Otherwise, this is my preferred hotel in town. It offers parking, an on-site restaurant and is conveniently located near many amenities, including shops, restaurants, petrol stations—you name it!

The only issue I experienced was with the bathroom taps—they were extremely tight, as if someone had tried to stop a leak. Perhaps the bathroom floor drains need to be flushed to avoid odour.

I like the location, very convenient and near to my event. The luggage storage facility was a really helpful feature for us too as we needed to go for our event on our check out day. Restaurant and the food as well as the drinks were fantastic.

The hotel could provide more toiletries like soap and all. Even the one you install on the wall in bathroom. Will really help for us travellers from interstate. Also, make it easy to access the tv when connecting to our apps like Netflix etc.

Ease of access, everything we could need easily accessible, restaurant food was fabulous, rooms were nearly sound proof as evidenced by the wedding reception we saw being set up but didn’t hear

Tiny awkward parking options, no bath, dryer made the room very steamy overnight and leaving the kids tech to charge while we went out was pointless as the electricity cuts off when you lock up.

The place was huge! We weren’t expecting the modern, spacious accommodation in such a wonderful location after paying the same amount for the very basic facilities elsewhere in more remote places. The washer and dryer were a surprise bonus! Very handy when travelling with young kids!

Just wished we’d booked for longer. We booked online with bookings.com for 1 night only and if we had known how wonderful it was we would have booked an extra night or 2 even! Unfortunately this was over new years so completely booked out once we realised the gem it was!!
