Having completed my stay. I have one word…Enchanting. This is the place to be. If you want to experience the culture and charm, this is it. From the outside it doesn’t look like much but step inside and you are surrounded by the Taiwanese culture. The location is perfect being right on the pier AND right in the action. You can get to every thing and it’s easy to get back. The rooms are huge and beautiful and clean. The beds were comfortable. I personally like softer pillows but my kids said they enjoyed their pillows. Breakfast is served on the seventh floor so toy enjoys views while delighting in a delicious breakfast. I really can’t say enough good things! The people are lovely and so kind. So happy to help and my only complaint is we didn’t stay longer 😂 We loved this hotel!!

The location was amazing. It is near the street food stalls and opposite a local restaurant. Our room had a view of sun moon lake. The breakfast @7F was a simple Chinese style breakfast. We sat outside so we had a great view of the lake. The receptionist is friendly and reminded us of the breakfast timing and location.

The sound insulation of the room could be improved. If you are a light sleeper the sounds of people entering their room will bother you. Our room also had a cigarette smell so the ventilation could be improved. It may have come from the extra seating room attached to the main room.

do not let the small entrance and traditional foyer fool you. I booked the rooms as a special treat for the family, to enjoy the view of Sun Moon Lake from our rooms. the 4-bed room was AMAZING! the view was incredible. it was spacious with good separation of spaces, a sizeable sitting area, a good area for luggages and clothes, and possibly the largest toilet I have ever seen. the bathtubs were beautiful. the 2 bedroom was comfortable with a great bathtub and view but half of the view from the bed was blocked by the tv, which was slightly disappointing. the hotel encourages turning off the AC at 12am for eco reasons. we opened the sliding doors BUT DO NOT open the insect screens. it was wonderfully quiet from the evening to morning. breakfast is on the top floor with the same incredible view, good food, great staff, and the best 奶茶 (milk tea). the front of house staff were also very initiative to quickly come and help us bring our luggages from the taxi in.

nothing. just be careful at sunset to keep insect screens closed because of the mosquitoes. also the lane to the hotel is narrow and crowded. our driver was great but I understand some may prefer to wait elsewhere.

Amazing location right by the market and a minute from the ferry! The staff was sooo friendly. They let me keep my bag downstairs all day while I explored. And when I came back to get my bag they let me charge my phone at the front desk until it was time for my ferry. And she even brought me tea while I waited. They were so kind the entire time!

Wish the breakfast went longer. Only 7:30-9:00. It was my fault I thought it went until 9:30 so I missed out on a full breakfast

It's in a really good position, near the dock and the busy street market with lots of food stalls. Limited breakfast options but a good view from the breakfast room. Walking distance to the chairlift.

Not much to dislike except the toilets can not handle toilet paper and it must be placed in the bin next to the toilet. We found out the hard way how easy it was to cause a blockage 🥴

Where do I start? It was amazing to stay in this hotel. We had room 601 with a view of the lake. So that was already special. The hotel is in a perfect location. So close to the wharf and all shops and restaurants.The room was spacious with a balcony and a large bathroom. The bed linen was nice to the touch, very luxurious. The bed very comfortable. Nice furnishings with a wardrobe. The breakfast was sufficient and tasty. The staff was friendly and respectful.

Hotel location was near the lake itself. The room was spacious and comfortable. The bed was big and comfortable, heater was incredible, and all the amenities were great. The staff was super friendly and nice.

The old smell in the hallways. The dehumidifier couldn't handle the smell. I think it may be because there's also cooking involved in the dining floor. Perhaps the exhaust is not good.

We had a beautiful room - view, facilities and decor. The breakfast buffet was on the top floor and was a small Chinese stle buffet. Parking was easy, we let them know we wanted a parking spot. They responded promptly. As instructed, we drove to the hotel and the receptionist took us to a locked parking lot 100m away. Best of all was the location - heaps of food shops, the ferry wharf and coastal path all within 100m. Ita Thao was lots of fun.

Location was unbeatable, so near the pier and there was lots to shop and eat even at night. Breakfast was yummy and staff was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The lift was great for huge luggages and there was a water dispenser at every level. Toilet was also spacious

We didn't know our room didn't have a window. There was a "balcony" that open up to a wall (sort of like an air well) but our single bed blocked it anyway so we didn't access the area.

The breakfast was average but the breakfast room was very good as it was overlooking the lake. The family room was a good size and relatively clean and the receptionists were pleasant. The accomodation was well located close to the lake ferry, lake shuttle bus and dining options.

The room did not have a window which meant it was not as bright as it could have been.
