We had a wonderful stay at Il Ghiro. Ilaria is a most welcoming and gracious host. She did everything to make our stay most enjoyable. On arrival she sat with us and explained everything from transport, parking, restaurant recommendations to sightseeing. It’s such a bonus to receive a parking permit for in Levato. We had the yellow room which was most comfortable with a sitting area in the garden. The breakfast was the best we have had. We feel we were spoilt and Ilaria set a high standard for the rest of our trip. Thank you Ilaria for a most enjoyable stay.

Ilaria was the most accommodating host you can imagine - full introduction to all you need to know about the region and its attractions, including custom holiday planning, and free parking pass for Levanto. A delicious breakfast, all homemade. Comfortable and cleverly decorated room. A short walk from the pictoresque village of Lavaggiorosso (with a lovely local family restaurant Zita).

Ilaria was the best host you could imagine! Communicating our time of arrival was super easy (English, Italian, French) and once we arrived we were heartily welcomed. She explained us everything, she prepared a map with all information about tours, places to visit and how to commute in the area. She also gave us a free parking card for the city of Levanto. The room was super clean and very spacious. We found all we needed. The house has also some nice little terraces where we could spend our time. The next days awaited us every day one of the best homemade breakfasts that we ever had in Italy (it is one of our favourite places for holidays, so we have lots of places to compare it with): she prepares fresh fruit salad, muesli, a cheese and salami platter, bakes her own focaccias (Italian bread), makes her own yoghurt, jam and not to forget the salty and sweet cakes. We can only recommend staying with her and will surely come back. Grazie mille per la grande hospitalita, Ilaria!

Well, where shall I start? Ilaria is an absolutely wonderful host, probably the best we have ever come across! A very genuine, caring and friendly lady. She sat us down right at the start and explained everything from car parking to trains, boats, restaurants etc and all her advice was spot on. We had 2 full days and with Ilaria’s help we managed to see everything that we wanted to and had a fabulous time. The house is spotless and in a beautiful position up the hill above Levanto. The breakfasts were amazing with everything home made, the yoghurt, jam, bread, cakes were all fabulous. We don’t think the breakfast could be better! The air conditioning was very welcome with the temperatures above 30 degrees! We will definitely be back 😊

Needing to leave after only 3 nights!

Ilaria made us feel instantly at home <3 Upon arrival she offered us coffee and home made delicious cake. Then she took the time to explain us the best way to visit cinque terre. There are only 4 guest rooms so the whole place feels very homely. The breakfast was home made with AMORE: juice, omelette, yoghurt and jams, more cake and other yummi things :D Ilaria even made us a packed lunch with the leftovers of the breakfast, so lovely. We only stayed one night but it felt a lot longer!

Everything was perfect.

Perfect location just 7 minutes by car from Levanto city- Ilaria (the patron/owner) will provide you FREE parking card so you can park your car at the designated blue spots in the city (NOBODY else in Italy did that for us and we toured 9 cities). The breakfast is bliss, ALL homemade. It might not meet the variety of a 5* hotel (that's not the point anyway) but the 15 or so items available will fill you up and are ALL homemade. For the same level of quality (not variety) you would have to pay a fortune in a proper 5*/Luxury hotel. Ilara is an owner deeply experienced in hospitality and it shows: Courteous, pleasant, polite and can-do attitude. This is a real-hospitality spirit and she assisted us with our multitude of questions. The rooms are well decorated, quite spacious and new. Bravo! Will definitely stay again and recommend this place to all our friends heading to Italy.

The room, in the beginning (at our check-in at 6pm), was VERY humid to the point that we opened the AC full-on hot, left for dinner and once back it was habitable. Now whilst I realise that it was a rainy day and in the Italian province it is still Spring (we travelled in April), we propose to the owner to either invest in a dehumidifier or switch on the ACs on hot on such humid days prior to guest arrivals. Minor point for us but I know humidity can be a bummer for many.

It's a great place to stay. The hostess deserves a big compliment. She takes a lot of time for her guests to show them everything and gives valuable tips for a visit to the Cinque Terre. The breakfast is exceptionally good. Most of it is homemade. Every day there is fresh cake, which the hostess leaves in the B&B, so that you can enjoy another piece of it in the evening. The location is a bit out of the way, but easy to reach and therefore quiet. We will come again.

The best part of our stay was the host Ilaria, so friendly & helpful! And the breakfast was amazing, so many delicious options, mostly homemade by Ilaria herself. We would 100% recommend this place, as long as you have a car and are comfortable driving on the typical Italian narrow, winding roads 😀

Oh my where do you meet such an attentive host? She gave us instructions where to go; homemade breakfast was amazing, we even had the frittata freshly cooked 🤩 Location is excellent, 10 mins drive to the cinque Terre station and we parked right in front of the station door for free (thanks to the pass provided by the host). Room is quiet and comfy.

We should’ve stayed longer 🥲

Everything was amazing, we received exact instructions on how to announce the accommodation. We wanted to visit Cinque Terre and Ilaria gave us valuable information about what we can do there, but also a pass to be able to park for free in Levanto. The room we stayed in was all we needed, we also had a small private garden to relax in, parking at the property, and the breakfast exceeded our expectations, everything was fresh and prepared there. Thank you for everything and if we have the opportunity we will definitely come back.
