Honestly a standout hotel - best I've stayed in in a looooong time. The staff are so so friendly and will go out of their way to help you. I was fortunate enough to be able to check-in at 6am when my bus arrived, and they allowed us to get breakfast and coffee as well that morning even though we weren't due to check-in until 1pm (not saying they will always be able to do this, depending on availability, but it was so nice of them). They gave us loads of advice of things to do in the area, how best to get to places, and we're on hand for any questions. They also let us borrow a gondola pass to save us having to buy tickets for the gondolas. The rooms felt quite luxurious, and the breakfast had something for everyone. Free tea, coffee, coca tea and water 24/7. After coming back from death road, our shoes were soaking wet, so they put the fire on for us and let us dry our shoes out by the fire overnight. Upon checkout, they organised a very well priced taxi for us to the airport. Honestly, they couldn't have done more for us. The best staff, the best hotel, and a super nice building with all the old museum stuff kept in tact on the walls. 10/10, would actually come back to La Paz just to stay here!

The hotel is in good walking distance to the city center and most of the "must see" places. A quiet area, we felt safe there when walking home even in the night. The staff is amazing and so very sweet and friendly - they were helpful at any time (e.g. early or lat check in). They prepared us breakfast bags when we left the hotel early for a tour. The breakfast was very good with fresh fruit, bread, cheese and freshly made eggs.

Only one very small complaint: We stayed in 3 different rooms (since we stayed over different dates in the hotel). The beds in 2 out of the 3 rooms were not good, pretty uncomfortable. The mattresses should be renewed.

Great personal and service, good and diverse breakfast, very comfortable and clean room, modern and clean bathroom. Nice and quiet location! Enjoyed our stay a lot - very restful.

Everything great except for the fact that our room was separated from the neighboring room only by a wooden door (could be opened in case rooms should be combined for e.g. family). This led to the fact that you could hear the other guests very well. If both parties are considerate, it does not need to be a problem. ;) Staff could make guests aware of this situation early. Overall, the room was still very quiet and we could get great sleep. We still highly recommend this hotel.

The room was good sized and looked just as good as the best images on Booking. But the best aspect of our stay was the incredible staff. They, were able to provide a quick turnaround on laundry, even on Sunday, they provided box breakfasts two mornings because we had start times before the scheduled breakfast and everything was done with a smile. The only downside is that the location is a little away from the central tourist services, but we only had trouble getting a taxi to the hotel on one occasion. Highly recommend.

I loved the beauty, charm and peacefulness of El Museo - every detail was wonderful! The rooms were spacious, warm and very comfortable and I appreciated the 24 hour coffee and coca tea bar that was available. Breakfast was also delicious and there is a lovely terrace patio as well as the dining room and cozy living room to enjoy at your leisure. Everyone at the hotel was kind and helpful, answering all of our questions and helping us to book transportation to and from the airport or bus terminal.

Gorgeous building, I was at the back upstairs which was super quiet and private. Breakfast was really great and tea and coffee always available. Staff helpful and spoke good English. Location was perfect for me, a bit further from the hustle and bustle of the city centre (about 30min walk to San Francisco church).

Bot me but others complained that it was a little noisy staying in the main part of the building.

We had a great time here. Most places and transports are within walking distance even if some hills are a bit challenging to climb. Staff is very helpful. It is nice that the breakfast changes a little each day. We would definitely enjoy coming back here.

There were some loud asian students here and they usually finished the breakfast before it was opened. That didn't help us much.

The rooms were clean and nice. Having use of the common space was also good for us as we were trying to do some work from the hotel. WiFi worked great. The breakfast was pretty good…they will make you an egg in addition to the bread, lunch meat, cheese, and fruit. The staff was very nice and helpful. There is a cute plaza just a few blocks away with restaurants. And there is parking available for a couple of cars if you are driving.

Super comfy, beautiful view from our room, really exceptionally helpful staff! Tea and coffee during our stay! Not much road noise, a hidden gem in La Paz! Would stay again!

Breakfast wasn't great, wasn't topped up, ( there was still over one hour of breakfast service available when we arrived). But there is breakfast options near so this wasn't a major issue for us.

A great place to stay in the Sopcachi area of the city. The place is on a very quiet street away from the hustle and bustle. It’s a lovely property, wooden floors, nice patio area and even a little museum! There are free drinks in the dining room that you can have at anytime(coffee, tea, coca infusion, hot chocolate). The room was perfect, comfortable, clean and spacious bathroom. The staff are also extremely friendly and helpful.

Liked everything so nothing to complain about!
