The staff were exceptionally good. Molly on reception was very welcoming and gave us lots of information about our stay and the progress of the refurbishment. The barman worked til late and was lovely. The breakfast staff did a great job on cooking up breakfasts to order, which was delicious & everything was with a smile. There was also a good selection of continental style breakfast and cereals. Our room had been refurbished and was really nice - comfortable, spacious and clean with a really good powerful shower.

There was nothing really that I didn’t like. There is a refurbishment in progress but this did not affect our stay. There was no noise or disruption The only thing is that with scaffolding & green netting up outside, it did actually look derelict! It took us a while to realise that it was the right building!… …..but as soon as you step through the door that whole impression is gone - Reception and the bar area are really smart.

Breakfast was great. The only issue was getting locked in my room, key was tricky to open the door and when I locked it from the inside I couldn't get out so had to ring reception, there was someone at the door in a couple of minutes. He suggested changing room which I readily agreed to. I was in my way out for a meal so did the move when I returned. The new rooms lock was a little tricky too so I decided not to lock it from the inside. As you have refurbished the hotel maybe the locks need some attention now.I Bed was comfy, room was very warm though so slept on top of the covers Overall I was happy with the room, clean and quiet

Central location. Friendly and helpful staff. Good sized rooms and bathrooms. Our rooms were lovely and clean. Comfy, clean beds and good sized bath towels. Loved to decor in the bar area. Cooked breakfast was really nice and there was a good selection of cereals, juices, tea and coffee all served by friendly staff. We were looked after very well.

There was nothing to dislike about this property for us. Would love to go back once the renovations are complete and see how it looks without the scaffolding.

Room was of a good standard, clean and peefect for a single night stay. Staff very polite and informative, easy check in. Cooked breakfast included is great value for money and was very nice.

I originally booked this hotel 12th Fen for a stay that evening. Unfortunately I had put March instead of Feb, honest mistake and was told by reception to just go online and cancel. For 3 days I continued to message on Booking.com and kept getting out replies. In the end I gave up and just ensured that I needed a hotel 12th March for that area and used the booking.

Stayed here for 2 nights at the weekend. Rooms very spacious and bed comfy. Tea, coffee facilities in room with bonus of biscuits! Breakfast was very good, buffet continental and brought full English to you. Central location to bars and restuarants. Highly recomended and would return again in future.

Room got alittle hot through night and radiator could not be turned down. We kept window open all night to cool room down

The greatest element of this little gem is undoubtedly the staff. I arrived late in the day but the team in duty were simply amazing.

The room I had was perfectly comfortable and had great facilities, but owing to the design and renovation of the room (To provide ensuite facilities) the only natural light and fresh air was via the bathroom, which meant that to have fresh air, resulted in light coming in owing to a lack of curtains in the bathroom. A first would problem.

Nice to be able to use the lift to get to our room, easy to use and to be able to find breakfast area so easily just a few walking steps from the lift, the only thing I could that was at fault was no hand rail at the Main entrance being a disabled person, other than than that could not have asked for a nice Central Location Hotel in Barrow in furness.

It would be nice if there was a hand rail at the Entrance of the building to help people with disabilities .

A very conveniently located hotel for central Barrow and the Town Quay, with pleasant, clean rooms. The breakfast was good, better than I expected for the price.

While I am sorry that the behaviour of guests makes a security deposit necessary for the hotel, I wassn't exactly overjoyed to be told about this a few days before my stay - maybe it should have been clearer during the booking process. To be fair dealing with the deposit itself went with no problems at all - the deposit was returned promptly.

Reception staff on both days we were there were excellent, thank you. Room 220 was very well maintained with lovely carpet and adequate facilities. Although hotel is being refurbished there was no inconvenience and public areas were fine. Breakfast was hot and good quality. Quiet area with no traffic noise. Bus stop 2 minutes away which can take you to railway station or you can walk there in 15 mins.

Loud tv in dining room whilst having breakfast wasn't for us.

Lovely room, beautifully decorated. The building is currently undergoing renovation, so the frontage is hidden behind scaffolding and you can tell there are works underway… But the areas I made use soft were beautifully decorated i’m very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent I had a delicious cooked breakfast and also had the option of Danish pastries, fruit, yoghurts and more.

The property is currently under renovation, so some areas are not as one would expect - but I was warned of this before arrival, and I have no complaints. It’s just something to be aware of.
