Now this ain't a luxury hotel at all, but it's was clean, the receptionist was really friendly and the room with own bathroom was all nice. For the price, I was positively surprised! Buses to Aachen within walking distance and in the village center of Vaals. Free parking in Germany within a minute walk (tip!!).
* I don't doubt the wrinkled duvet cover was washed and unused, but it was the most disturbing bed I've seen in a while. It's a shame as it was a great sleep anyway! * It looks a bit grayish and cold, but that makes it easy to clean so I totally get it * you have to walk the first stairs to reach the lift, making it useless for accessibility and only for comfort. Just take that into account

Lovely location in a quant town in Vaals. The room was very spacious with comfortable fittings, such as the bed etc. We visited in winter, and the temperature control was easy to use with effective and comfortable heating. The shower is great with excellent water pressure. Would recommend the greek restaurant (Troje) downstairs which (for good reason) is clearly very popular with the locals - really reproduced the vibe we found in Greece, and of course excellent food. Would return, if we stay in Vaals again. There is paid on-street parking nearby.

Room was clean with reasonable space. There was enough storage space. Wi-fi worked well. Area was reasonably quiet at night. Supermarket is close by and so are plenty of restaurants.
It was quite hot in the room and opening the window was not ideal solution due to noise from the outside (not a problem during the night). Thankfully it was not too hot (but in the summer without AC it would be a problem). Reception was empty when I arrived and it took some time for anyone to arrive.

Location was brilliant and very little traffic noise even though it faces the main road. It was nice to have a walk away from the hotel on the opposite side down the back streets after dinner. Have to say the pizzas in the restaurant were superb and all the food looked very well presented. Very busy in the restaurant which is always a good sign.
Little bit dissappointed with breakfast to be honest. Not a big fan of hams and cheeses and would have liked to see yoghurts of various flavours and more fruit.

Big family room, huge ceilings and windows. The bathroom was clean, the shower was spacious. Very helpful personnel. Opposite an excellent bakery and a big supermarket. Thirty minutes on foot (uphill) from the Drielandenpunt. Overall, great value for money.
No lift. Wooden floors that creaked when the hotel guests upstairs walked around their room but overall very quiet.

The hotel is located close to the German border at the town of vaals, There are bakeries, supermarkets, giftshops, and a lot sof restaurants near by. Straight up hill is the three borders point (25 min walking, 5 min by car). The hotel is clean the staff is very nice. There is a private parking 2 minutes away from the hotel by foot.
Although not mentioned, I expected the room to some kind of a hot drinks means. You can't make your favourite tea of coffee. Could have at least expected a small electric kettle. There is an espresso machine in the first floor, but... In addition, there was no refrigerator. It should be noted that the hotel manager was kind enough to let me store my food in the fridge of the restaurant below.

Everything was perfect! It is not the first time I stayed here. Specially the friendly and helpful staff and the owners. You feel like "home". Clean rooms, comfort beds, perfect location for escapes to Germany and Belgium. What else could we ask for as travellers? We will definitely come back again!!

We were walking the Dutch Mountain Trail and the location was very close to the trail. The welcome was excellent, the rooms were very comfortable and big and a very fair price. We were surprised that the restaurant was greek, the menu being excellent and a welcome ouzo didn't go amiss! The restaurant and hotel staff were all personable. The continental breakfast was very good to send us on our way. Apart from being close to our walk, local shops and bars were on the doorstep.
Nothing obvious

Location was right on the main road. Parking was provided at a very small fee. Rooms have been recently remodeled and were very clean. Restaurant was in the hotel and another owned by the Hotel across the street provided good choices for dinner. Breakfast was very good at a very reasonable price. Owner and staff very friendly and helpful.

This was our only hotel stay during the trip, and it was nice to stay at a family hotel. It was also nice to have our only buffet breakfast of the trip. We stayed in Zimmer 3, which had a small separate room for the children, which was really helpful. Finally, it was interesting to see pictures in the attached restaurant (same owners) of the street (including the hotel) in the pre-Schengen era. There used to be a border crossing only a block away!
