What a cool hotel/motel! Loved what they've done to "modernize" the place, both the rooms and the exterior/common areas. A real gem just outside of downtown (with plenty of "photo ops") Although we were in town to visit nearby family and never got the opportunity to wander into downtown, the location seems convenient to do so - with a nearby train/lightrail(?) that I would assume runs to city center. For us, being directly off the interstate was very convenient for our family visits in Green Valley. The room was clean, spacious and upgraded. Breakfast was delicious. And we were so thankful that they allowed dogs at the property - the "folks" in Green Valley were very happy that their "granddog" was able to come visit. 🙂 Overall, highly recommend.

The room was not too big but right size with optimal space usage. It was extremely clean and very warming. Breakfast personnel was extremely nice. The included breakfast was a plus for our stay, the fact that it was prepared at the moment really changed everything, and there was a wide range of choices to accommodate different tastes. We didn’t try the swimming pool just because we didn’t have the time but was looking awesome! Closed parking was making us feeling very safe too. Position is great, close to the interstate and 30 min driving away from Saguaro national park and 30 min walking (much less if driving) from downtown and restaurants. A tram stop that brings you to downtown is 10 min walking from the hotel. I would for sure come back if I pass by Tucson! I think this is one (if not the) best short stay hotels in which I was in the US

I would just have liked to regulate the temperature in my room but didn’t manage (was a bit too warm for me), but is really the only thing I can say, because I didn’t find anything bad about this place.

Incredibly comfortable bed and pillows. Lovely rain shower, fluffy towels. The exterior is clearly an old style hotel but the facilities are so nice. Pool looked great but I didn’t have a chance to try it. Very good breakfast was included but there is also a menu to order from.

I was concerned about freeway noise, is practically underneath it, but my first floor room in the back facing the pool was quiet enough. I also wondered about car security especially when they said the gates close at 9pm but I had no issues.

We had a great stay! The rooms are small, but thoughtfully laid out and very clean. All the staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful, there was great 24 hour free coffee, and the room came with complimentary cold water! I don't know if this part of town is the best, but there is a fence which surrounds the whole property that is locked after 9 pm (guests can go in and out with their room key), and I felt safe and had a great rest.

Great location, right off the highway is nice! Very cute room, bed and pillow were SO comfy. Cute little path way in the back to walk around in or if you have a pet it’s a good potty place. Pool was nice and there’s even a workout room. Didn’t get a chance to check out the bar or breakfast but looked really good!

My only qualm was that our room needed more towel hooks. Two was not enough to hold a hand towel, two shower towels, swimsuits and my toiletry bag and the shower rod was too tall to hang anything off of. Also the shower had no shelves so not sure how you’re supposed to shave or bring anything into the shower with you.

I loved the property was gated. Pool area was very nice. Rooms were designed beautifully. Property in general was gorgeous.

I was not particularly happy there was no elevator. It’s a pretty decent flight of stairs and if you have any issues at all pain wise it’s pretty difficult to get a suitcase up. No one asked if you need assistance. No one even asked to show you which building it is and there are multiples and they did not appear to be numbered on the building outside. Also right next to the highway which I guess is my fault for not paying attention to the location. Water pressure in the shower could’ve been better.

I thought the bar and lounge area was very unique. The breakfast was really good! Fresh ingredients and good portions. It’s worth adding in the breakfast to your reservation. I wish there was music i the bar area! I guess it wasn’t working ? The pool area was very well taken care of. All in all a very cute hotel. Comfortable beds and clean room. We’ll definitely stay there again :)

The bar staff didn’t know any restaurants in the area and there was no music playing. The tvs were even silent. Just made it a little awkward.

The Tuxon is a remodeled motel located directly at the freeway. The rooms are clean, modern and well equipped, however, they feel smaller than the average motel room.

The motel is severely understaffed and breakfast was served by one person only which led to really long waiting times. The first room that we were given smelled pretty badly (like sulfur) but luckily we were offered another room which was perfectly fine.

Modern rooms, good literature provided within. Clean bathrooms, showers, etc. Pool area was nice, with well maintained water. Local live music was a welcome surprise! All the staff were very friendly and accommodating.

TBH: the neighborhoods surrounding the location appear run down and are neglected compared to the nearly immaculate property.. which was a jarring contrast.

Property was clean and modern, staff was friendly and bed was comfy, although on highway wasn’t loud and was in pretty good proximity to everything.

The front desk staff was sometimes Mia - should have a bell or something people were waiting often for the lady to come to desk. They were helpful and pleasant just found it odd customers had to wait for the front desk staff.
