We enjoyed the space overall in the Overlook Suite with gorgeous views of the city and water, especially on the little standing balcony. Location was perfect walking distance to nearly everything we did. The bed was very comfy and ample space to lounge. Eclectic group of residents and hotel guests at the building to add to the fun vibes. We would likely stay again, but probably another suite at lower cost.
The sound from the street traffic was almost unbearable, even with ear plugs and fan going. Of no fault of the hotel of course, but people were cruising obnoxiously till all hours, until the work trucks and semis came along that is... the fantastic views are your tradeoff. Recommend bringing noise canceling ear buds if you're reactive to noise.

This place was a pleasant surprise in Astoria. The hotel is centrally located and all the major sites from the docks to the pretty little streets with their breweries and local shops of Astoria are in easy walkable reach. The room was comfy and the shared kitchen is very well equipped and organised. The shared bathrooms are clean and modern. There are comfy bathrobes in the room if you need to step outside your room. Tasteful design that rotates :D around records. You can borrow a record player if you're in the mood. Or you can borrow an iPad. Staff was helpful.
Everything was perfect.

This was our second stay in one of the Astor Suites of the Norblad Hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful at check-in. The bed was so comfortable and the linens and bath towels are super soft and luxurious. The suite and our private bathroom were roomy, well-appointed, and very, very clean. Access to the suites is easy and feels safe. There's plenty of parking on the street but the hotel also offers paid parking in a garage for $20 per night. The view from our room was amazing and the location can't be beat! A great value on the Oregon Coast.
Our room this time was right next to the elevator so you could hear everyone who was on the way to or from the elevator. It was a little bit loud.

The location is right in the heart of the downtown area. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. They have a full size kitchen, lounge area, and offer portable record players along with vinyl you can use in the room. The staff was also very friendly and offered suggestions for things to see and do nearby. I would definitely stay again!
There is no designated parking so finding a spot of the street was a bit difficult. Also, there is not an elevator so lugging up all my heavy luggage was a challenge.

The location and suite were amazing. Being able to walk a block to so many things was such a nice bonus. The apartment itself had everything you could need for a short stay and was so chic for lack of a better word. The views were stunning and the bed was so comfortable.
Three things: check-in at 4pm is too late (and our room wasn’t available until around 4:20), the apartment windows need better insulation/sealing - they let in a lot of cold and noise (they do provide free ear plugs, so points to them), and the blinds weren’t all working anymore, but that’s super minor.

The location was awesome; walking distance to restaurants and bakery. The view was fantastic, wonderful kitchenette, great water pressure and hot water in the shower. The queen bed was comfortable, but we are used to a king sized. The entire space was the perfect size, very nice furnishings and decor. The elevator was very fast to arrive and take you to your floor.
The distance and location of the parking lot was a small disappointment; the lot is behind the building. We were lucky to have fantastic weather. It would have been awful to walk the distance in the rain, carrying all your belongings. In the elevator, our nostrils were assaulted by a guest’s Pachouli perfume and cigar smell. I realize hotel management can’t control that and thankful for the quick ride in the elevator!

This hotel has such great soul and style! Located in the heart of Astoria, it is surrounded by lots of great pubs, shops, and life. If you arrive on a Sunday, check out the street event a few blocks away with tons of local businesses set up. I didn't realize it was there until too late. (Next time!) The hotel is old school, which I love. There are historic elements preserved, spiced up with modern style as well. Be prepared to walk up stairs to get from the street to reception. In my case, I had a "cabin room" with showers and toilets down the hall, though there is a sink in the room. The bed was comfy beyond expectations and the room was light, even though it was an interior one. I had picked Astoria randomly as a town on the map, while returning to Canada up the coast from a business trip in California, but realizing I would have to hole-up for a day to get some work done by deadline. I loved the place so much: I plan to return with my fella! Staff were also friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I really didn't want to leave.

Staff was super nice! The facilities were clean. I was nervous about the shared bathroom but it wasn't a problem at all as there were plenty available for use. I loved the amenities too! The beds were super comfortable and the whole place just had this nice, cozy atmosphere. I'd stay again in a heartbeat.
It got a little loud at night because the building is a bit old. They do put out a sign that requests the other guests be quiet in the commons/hallway so I can't fault the hotel for disrespectful guests... just be aware that sound does travel in this place, so if you're there for work like I was it might be a touch inconvenient.

Refreshed SRO hotel/apartment with shared bath and shower. Everything was nice clean and comfortable, and the staff was very accommodating with flexible check in and out. Excellent location right in the heart of Astoria - lots of things to see and do nearby.
My only complaint is they had me move to a different room on my second night (of two) because the online booking system had made the assignments and they couldn't adjust it for some reason.

Clean, great aesthetic and decor, quality linens and blankets, great location. Staff was friendly and helpful with suggestions. Able to borrow an iPad (no TV). Enough showers and bathrooms to share. Shared kitchen, clean and updated with anything you could need. Keurig.
No parking, (although we came on Sunday so it was easy to find a spot and leave it there for the day so that wasn’t a big deal for us). A bit hot (not sure if there was ac in the room, but we opened the window and it cooled down a lot). It was also a bit loud - might be an issue for light sleepers, but they did provide earplugs! I slept fine, my friend had a bit more trouble.
