I rate it as high as 8 because the hotel is excellent. It is spotlessly clean - not a spek of dust (I searched everywhere, including hallways). The fixtures and furniture are new, nice and all intact, without any gaping holes or rust or mold. Room is giant with large windows and enough space for two suitcases. Ample light, adaptable power plugs, makeup mirror, tissues, room slippers and robe, large and comfortable beds with clean white linnen, towels were plentiful and excellent as well. Staff is impeccable - very polished, friendly, helpful, they really go out of their way to help. Food is the best. Hotel's chef turned out to be very gifted, knowing different cuisines, and doing her best adhering to our food preferences. Breakfast was the healthiest we had in Africa.

It is a shame that such perfect hotel with hardest working people in town does not have hot shower. I complained incessantly, checked other rooms - water is lukewarm at best. The water issue was the only thing that bothered us. Other were minor annoyances like 1) waiting (FOREVER) for tea/coffee at breakfast - I would have preferred to pour it myself, and 2) exorbitant cork fee - we couldn't enjoy our dinner with whatever we bought at the Kenyan brewery, unless we paid 1500 KS fee. Otherwise, the hotel is their staff are perfect.

More inner city. Need transport to get around. About 20mims from the beaches. Hotel and lovely. Clean rooms. Beds were large and comfortable. The shower was blocked and running cold on the first night but they fixed the issue straight away. Staff were amazing, they were extremely polite and friendly. They had gone above and beyond for us. The food was lovely, although it did take a long time to be given our food. They made a cake and sang happy birthday for my mother. Amazing experience

Delays waiting for food

This is an AMAZING hotel! Me and my friends stayed there for 2 days. We are tourists and got really great experience staying in Monbasa and Premium Inn. The hotel manager, Levi, is exceptionally helpful and responsible. The hotel stuff is professional and warm hearted. The breakfast is also wonderful. The front desk always helps to give you travel advice (eg, telling you the safe time of traveling out and help you get a Tuktuk). All in all, this is one of the best hotel experience I have ever had and I recommend it to everyone.

I only stayed there for one night but had a pleasant experience. The receptionist Harriet was very nice and super helpful. It was our first time staying in Mombasa but because of her, we were able to have a nice time. I actually left an adopter in my room but I was able to retrieve it a few days later which I wasn't expecting to happen outside of Japan. It is all be cause of her! Inside the room was very clean and looked new. It was a bit noisy outside the hotel but the staff outweigh that. Glad we chose this hotel for our first time. Thank you!!!

The place was very clean, new, and it was the only hotel I stayed in Kenya where I didn't need to use ear plugs. A bit thin walls, but most of other clients were not very noisy, so it didn't bother me. Staff was very friendly, welcoming, helpful, on point.

Could have had a shelf in the shower to put my things, as I had to have then on the floor, but this is minor and easy to fix. Water pressure could be better.

Great location, well maintained facilities. Great room layout amd comfortable beds. They provide bathroom slippers, gown, shampoo. Staffs all locations very eager to help, communicate well and are very pleasant. Well done!!!

Rooms have poor sound insulation. Floors in the bedroom area could be better cleaned. Meals in restaurant expensive and poorly sized.

Very clean, welcoming property with courteous staff throughout. I was greeted with a delicious drink, and when the receptionist says they've been expecting you, it always makes a great first impression. ''Ah, Mr. Bond, we have been expecting you!'. lol I was upgraded upon check-in and given a very generous late checkout. Excellent experience.

There was nothing I didn't like that is worth mentioning.

All staff trying to go extra mile to make you comfortable. Everything is new and fresh. You can feel big difference between this any older hotels in Mombasa. I tried different restaurants in Mombasa. The best food quality was here.

We had some miscommunication about laundry. And one lady on reception was trying to put blame on me. That was very annoying. But I can’t punish rest of the staff that was doing their best just because of one employee. So I’m giving overall 10.

Rooms and staff were friendly Breakfast was good, a good spread of items and fresh ingredients.

The a la carte restaurant for dinner: - Ingredients were not available for 2 items ordered on the menu. To add too this there was a delay in communicating this for one of the items. - the ice cream could not be ordered as a single scoop - The food for all 4 ppl came at different times

Excellent location, closer to city center, airport, Port. Good rooms, looks like new property. Excellent staff, Very cooperative and out of the way to make us comfortable. Good restaurant with variety of options.

Little things like light at luggage area in the room, soap rack at the shower area, shower curtain to prevent wash room clumsy. Rooms are not soundproof, all outside cleaning noises cause disturbance while inside.
