When I booked in I was told . . "Room Only for two nights" ! I booked a room WITH breakfast ! After a bit of discussion at reception, I left and collected my laptop and call up the booking confirmation. There it was BREAKFAST INCLUDED Lady !!!! I went back to the receptionist, a bit embarrassed and demanded a letter to state that it was not included so that I can take it up with "Booking.com.", my booking agent. I went to the bar and ordered a drink, somewhat upset. Eventually the receptionist lady turned up and state that she "discovered" that breakfast was included !!!! Really somewhat embarrassing in front of my wife and other guest (family) which I all convinced to stay at the Riempie Hotel for a family reunion !

Location is amazing, great that the Aircons are fully functional! It was hot! Loved the grounds - open area for kids, safe, green and quiet.

They could rake the sharp sticks/kameeldoring twigs and branches in the garden area. Was a mission walking with kids. Play park also had sharp twigs - both my kids and another family got pricked.

Last night of our stay there was a group from Univ of Venda, they were partying on their veranda(stoep) and the security at the resort did not bother to ask them to keep quiet. I had to go outside at 12:30 and ask them to keep quiet otherwise I will contact the reception. Was quite a pity that our last night had to end this way, cause we enjoyed our stay.

the friendliness of the staff who was extremely attentive to all our needs. the warm greetings and smiles we received was so heart-warming. the amazing, tasty and great portions of food ,dinner and buffet breakfast. the cleanliness of the room. and all the other facilities. will definitely be coming back.

The setting of the 'village' of accommodations; beautiful grounds and lounge, pool etc.

Our detached Rondval was advertised as "triple" - big mistake for the 2 of us as it should only have been a double. The 3rd single bed made it cramped and only one comfortable chair was provided, plus one dining style chair. A request for an additional comfortable chair could not be met so one of us has to sit on the bed. Breakfast was mediocre and overpriced at ZAR 210 per person. Tips were 'requested ' but for a self service facility this seemed inappropriate. However, the short stay was great not least because of the beautiful surroundings and pool.

Protea Hotel Riempie by Marriot is a great place, the rooms inside and out as well as the facilities and amenities (as well as the receptionist who was well trained and welcoming) are on International standards and it was a pleasure to stay here until next time....

I do not usually give this score to a hotel, but I really cannot fault you on anything. The staff is VERY friendly, the rooms are VERY comfortable, clean and well stocked. The rooms are well maintained and nothing is broken. The location is very nice, the gardens are well kept. We enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely return to test your restaurant.

Very nice location in Oudshoorn, very friendly staff. The hotel is recently renovated and the breakfast was great.

We choose the smallest (cheapest) hotel room and that was quite small. The toilet door opened into the toilet and made it difficult to enter/exit. The shower and sink are in the room. This is the consequence of the small/cheapest room.

The Rooms were spotless, spacious and very comfy, especially the King size bed, would definitely stay there again.

The service in the restaurant was poor. Our food was very good indeed but we waited over an hour for our food.

Attractive accomodation just out of town but close to Bufflesdrift where we like to go for dinner.

The shower and wash basin is in the room but fortunately the toilet is separate. You could hear the people in the next room quite clearly.
