Hermien and her husband are such a good host welcoming us in their guesthouse. Super friendly, nice and giving good tips. This also includes the restaurant Nostalgia, don’t doubt - it’s worth to go there- and the bonus is they will pick you up from the guesthouse. And for the guesthouse itself, good value for money. It’s clean, good size, shared living downstairs, aircon, good breakfast and a good pool. Overall very happy to have stayed here

Karoo Sun Boutique Guest House is a well managed and immaculate stay by its owner, Hermien. The bedrooms and bathrooms are large, clean, comfortable and nicely curated, as are the shared spaces in the dining, living rooms and outside poolside area. Breakfast was delicious. Hermien went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable. We heartily recommend this boutique guest house.

Hermien greeted us on arrival, booked a dinner reservation and organized transportation to and from the restaurant, all before we checked in. The Guest house is charming, breakfast was scrumptious and hospitality was excellent. She also booked a tour at Cango Caves for us and let us store our luggage while we did the tour. We would highly recommend staying here when staying in the area!!

It was very quaint, well cared for, and thoughtful put together. You could tell it had been the owner’s family home and they took pride in caring for it and welcoming guests.

There’s nothing in the owners could’ve done about this (so not at all their fault), but when there’s load shedding, it can be sticky in the room without the AC. They do have fans that are helpful but overall it’s better to just open the windows.

Lovely property. Rooms are very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Aircon was a saving grace during a very hot weekend. Breakfast was scrumptious. Lovely garden with a sparkling pool. Beautifully kept property. Just the right distance from the festival activities. Very friendly hosts.

Friendly owners who welcomed us. The room was very spacious and clean. Nice pool for the karoo summer.

I did not like the shared bar fridge for all the rooms. If there are many guest, the fridge is too small. It would be great and much convenient if every room can have its own bar fridge.

Hermien was extremely friendly, helpful and always available. She gave good advice of places of interest and where to eat.

Everything, warmly greeted, good conversation, great place, room upgraded, was able to stay extra night, good local advice and tourism recommendations drove swartberg pass based on that recommendation, brilliant. Great breakfast, comfortable surroundings, nice pool easy parking and access to town and shopping, shopping was walking distance, nice neighborhood.
