Beautiful hotel/pub in a fantastic location. Shower was super powerful and the facilities were great. There was a kettle, coffee machine and hair dryer. There were plenty of mirrors in the room including a light up one to help when putting on make up. The place has been refurbished to a high standard. We went for a meal in the restaurant before heading out and it was really tasty and very reasonably priced. Breakfast was really tasty and again with it being included in the price was great value for money. If we're ever in the area again we will be staying here!!
The mattress was a little firm for my liking but not uncomfortable and more down to what I'm used to.

The staff were very welcoming, friendly and professional, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout the stay. The room was a good size what the money we paid. The bathroom was large for two people. The room and bathroom were clean and well maintained. The decor throughout the whole building was very good, clean and well maintained. The breakfast we chose was as we expected, particularly the continental breakfast which came with a choice of pastries and plenty of fresh fruit.
Although it was a bank holiday Monday when we arrived, the bed, or bin was not touched throughout our three night stay. It was not the fact that this did not happen, we felt it wouldn't have been an issue had we been informed. We could not find any information regarding the local area, or nearby attractions. But the staff were helpful whenever we asked a question.

Lady who checked me in was very helpful and carried my case up multiple stairs and through 3 fire doors. There was a nice desk in the room. The shower was good and the water hot. Excellent vanity for all toiletries
The room was very narrow, less than 2m. The bathroom door caught on the bed and had to be forced past. I moved the bed and it would open OK. But it would only open about 3/4 as limited by ducting.Bathroom well appointed but cramped. Large Tv which protruded into the room about 30cm (a lot for such a narrow room) If this is a deluxe room, I'd hate to have a regular one. It is room 4. Avoid.

The property has recently had a refurb, and it looks wonderful, the room, and bar and all spaces really have been newly decorated in a very tasteful and modern way, including the outside of the building. It was a lovely place. The staff were really friendly in down to earth way, which felt natural and warm. The breakfast was lovely, and the food in the restaurant was also high quality. I would highly recommend this place, and would not hesitate to visit again.
Check-in was not great, we were left waiting a bit long whilst the bar staff spoke to other customers and each other, and we were not acknowledged at all for a few minutes, which felt unwelcoming. We arrived on a Sunday about 5ish and the bar was quiet so a nice greeting and a 'we'll be with you now', would have been better, but from then on everything was positive.

Good location, easy to find, with plenty of room to park. Sherwood Forest visitor centre nearby. A very warm welcome when checking in from the friendly, helpful bar staff. The room was very comfortable, with modern, thoughtful touches—well-designed for convenience with plenty of storage. Nice, clean bathroom with plenty of shelf space and excellent shower. Bar/dining area nicely maintained and a pleasant place to be, with attentive and efficient staff. Our dinner was served in the bar and was good for the price. Breakfast was served in the very pleasant dining room, where we had a warm and friendly welcome from Clare. The Full English breakfast was really excellent: well-cooked with good-quality ingredients nicely presented on the plate. Overall, this well-maintained hotel seemed to be run by people who genuinely cared about customer satisfaction, were attentive to details and took pride in their work. It was very friendly and welcoming, and perfect for an overnight stay en route from Scotland to East Anglia. At the price, exceptional.
A tiny point is that the bedside lamps could have been a bit brighter for reading, but really no complaints at all.

Very warm welcome and all the staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. Room was well equipped very clean and obviously recently fitted out to a high standard. Although this is a pub restaurant, I wasn’t disturbed at all by noise - although I was very tired! Interesting village location.
Breakfast isn’t served until 8am on Saturdays which is mildly disappointing as I wanted a reasonably early start. However, they did arrange for me (and the chap who was booking in ahead of me) to come down for an early, continental type, breakfast. I came down at 7.20am and all was ready and good.

The staff were very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was a good selection. Good choice on evening menu in restaurant. Car park had ample space and free so always a good option. Requested an iron and ironing board which came promptly. 5 minute walk into Edwinstowe village and shops.
Size of room was adequate but would prefer a bit larger. (Upgrade was available for an extra charge). Lighting in room not bright enough from main chandelier. Would have preferred full sized ironing board. 11am checkout preferred so not rushing breakfast.

Spacious, comfortable, stylish refurbishment. Lots of soft furnishings including lovely carpets instead of the usual hard flooring that seems to be everywhere nowadays and makes for a noisy ambiance. Plenty of parking. Good value and well located for our visit. Bedrooms well equipped, warm and in very good condition.
Very little. Staff were a bit disengaged when we arrived and we waited for a while to be checked in. Breakfast was good although there was no yoghurt or honey as advertised to accompany the fruit platter - apparently the had run out! Our standard bedrooms were in the small side and it’s while since we’ve slept in standard size double bed.

Stayed 2 nights in different rooms. The bed in the standard room was a double. Too small. In the larger room the bed was a super king and very comfortable. The rooms have great bathrooms and showers. Breakfast was excellent and the service very friendly and efficient. We ate in the restaurant one night and the food and service were really good. There's lots of parking. Tea making facilities in the room were good.
My duvet cover had a stain on it. Believe the cover had been washed but the stain had remained. It was a bit disconcerting.

The hotel was very nice, we was surprised how lovely it was. The Rooms had Yorkshire tea and biscuits which was a nice touch as you don’t always get those. The staff were very friendly and helpful and chatty.
The pillows weren’t very comfortable a bit hard and quite big, my partner found them ok, but I struggled to sleep on them. I did contact the reception and they did have a look around and found me a smaller one which was better. My breakfast was only ok, my muffin wasn’t toasted and my eggs were over cooked. However my partner enjoyed his, good portion sizes.
