This hotel is amazing. The rooms boasts incredible views of the ocean. You can sit on the grass bank and enjoy the sound and tranquility of the breaking waves. There are public beaches to swim in at a walkable distance . You can also swim in the tidal pools if the sea is too rough and of course the hotel has their own swimming pool . The food is absolutely delicious and spectacular views while you eat, there is a seating area on the balcony and if you see dolphins you need to ring the bell so everyone can see

The only thing I was not too happy with my shower is that it did not produce enough water pressure so only a small stream of water came out when I had a shower

That the place was peaceful and beach walking distance

The hotel is old and rooms are very stuffy even when cleaned

Upon arrival we were met with very friendly and helpful staff. The check-in was very quick and effortless. Our booking included the breakfast buffet, and the breakfast was exceptional. There was a wide variety of breakfast items to choose from. Salt Rock Hotel had a rugby game viewing room, and we enjoyed watching the match with some complimentary popcorn to ease our nerves for the match. The staff were very friendly and helpful and their willingness to assist was a breath of fresh air. My partner and I enjoyed a morning stroll on the beach which was easily accessible from the hotel.

Breakfast was fantastic. The variety was more than sufficient. The dinner buffet was a little lacking for the value. The view was spectacular. Pool area is beautiful. I know the pool area is small but you need more loungers. Some guests put their things down and disappear so you can't use those loungers. I know you can't stop that from happening but it shouldn't be allowed. Your staff are phenomenal.

The Dinner buffet could have had something more special. Although there was a lot, it wasn't very special. In the room, you definitely need a double adaptor for charging devices. We had to unplug the tv to charge phones etc.

Very good buffet breakfast, the staff were exceptionally helpful and upgraded us from a lovely room on two levels on the sixth floor to an enormous room on the second floor that had better Wi-Fi and it also had air conditioning and a fridge. The salt water swimming pool was fabulous as was the view to the beach, sea and unusual beach tidal swimming pool. The hotel has ample parking facilities, and is surrounded by well established trees and flowers. Consequently, there were a number of colourful birds and insects and even a few monkeys. The location of the hotel gave easy access to the town centre for restaurants and a huge, magnificent shopping centre.

Breakfast was great on Day 1 but due to the number of guests, the establishment resorted to ala carte menu, which is not ideal. It is not what I had expected. Maybe the establishment should offer a hot breakfast inclusive of eggs, sausages and some vegetables in instances where guest numbers are low. Seating inside the unit was also not adequate and the absence of an an AC is a problem.

The hotel is a little tired, there are renovations taking place but it more than made up for this with the following: Amazing staff, so pleasant and went the extra mile for us The food - incredibly good, there was not a meal we did not enjoy Cleanliness - no problems encountered

There appears to be a communication problem between 'booking.com' and the hotel. We had asked for an interleading room but were provided with 2 separate rooms - the explanation was to our benefit as both rooms had air conditioning but it was only explained after we questioned the booking.

Property was beautifull and well kept. Amazing views and for once, enough oarking! All staff was friendly and professional. Daily housekeeping was a bonus. Breakfast and dinner buffet was deliscious, very wide variety!

The spa fascilities and staff was not a good experience and would kot recommend.... a see through curtain is all that keeps the swimmingpool from seeing you undress.

The rooms had regular keys instead of cards I prefer card keys because the keys are easy to loose so you have to be careful not to loose your keys

This was our second visit, and this time, we booked a bigger room with a kitchenette. First off, the balcony is big, the place itself is big, and quite comfortable. 2 fans and an aircon, which helps because it can get quite humid. Everything is in close proximity. So one doesn't really struggle for anything

Only down side is that the wall that cordons off both balconies doesn't go all the way. And so, there's not much privacy by the balcony. But if you're booking for the whole family, then it's great because you have access to each other's units
