Location is beautiful! Four minutes from the Mt Etna cable car, yet in a cozy, peaceful, woodsy area. The entire compound of cabins is very well maintained. Safe, easy parking directly in from of the cabins. We stayed in the 1 bedrm cabin. Very nice setup, clean and spacious. Kitchen is we'll equipped, with everything we needed to cook all meals.. Bedroom is a good size, with an amouire, heater, comfy bed. We were there in mid Oct and it was chilly and having a heater in the main room, bathroom and bedroom is nice. The entire cabin is very well made and insulated. We were the envy of all the folks we met on our hike that spent over an hour driving up from Catania or taorima, We had spent a leisurely morning in the cabin and drove 4 minutes to the cable car. to join our hiking group. We highly recommend staying here!

Only two things to mention. The firewood was impossible to start. We read the other reviews concerning firewood so we prepared and brought fire starters and kindling and still spent over an hour trying to get the firewood to burn. Perhaps the wood is too young and impossible to burn Second minor thing was the shower head holder was too loose or broken and needed to be tightened or changed so the shower head can stay up. Both are easy fixes to make the next guest's visit perfect.

We loved everything. The place was soo comfortable, it was very cold outside and with the wood fireplace the place was quite toasty. We are a little far from shops, but if you prepare nicely you wont need to go back down for anything. 2 mins from Etna summit, and easy access to snow and ski tracks / trails. Very quite and relaxing. Will be back again for sure!!! The host was super friendly and on hand via msg for every question. We also had our room upgraded for a little extra cost which was wonderfull!!!

The double bed which was 2 singles put together was a little uncomfy as i kept sliding down in between them. :)

Beautiful location in the middle of nature and easily accessible by car. Great location to be able to hike on the sul side of Etna. The apartment is spacious, clean and well-kept.

There were six of us, and two single beds are located in the "room" accessing the bathroom. The cell phone doesn't get reception, but the Wifi wasn't working so we reported it to the owners who replied that there had been a glitch in the morning. No problem, but it would have been transparent to inform us of the glitch.

It is a hidden spot in the middle of unique Sicilian nature. It is very peaceful, just a five-minute drive from the Etna cable car. We would definitely stay again.

Unfortunately, you can hear everything from the neighbors' rooms. We were lucky to have quiet neighbours, so there were no big issues (but we still heard the party from the other cabin in the area).

Fantastic location and very nice room (full apartment with really good facilities). Walking around the property was wonderful and I will certainly go back for a full holiday. I will hire a car next time though. My rating for the property is based on the two sentences above and the negative points are simply a warning about going to a beautiful, remote location.

Difficult to find and get into the room and we never saw the hosts. However, this didn't matter much and the problems were largely due to my unfamiliar use of the information I was sent - all the information was given well in advance and I have learnt how to access if for next time! Make sure that you are supplied with food, etc, as there are no shops within Km.

We arrived in Sicily when the airport at Catania was closed because of a fire. We had had a very rough day but when we contacted the property to let them know we would be late they said they would move us to a larger room so that we would be more comfortable and have a good rest. We really appreciated that. Also, the views to Etna were spectacular.

The location is just perfect to explore and enjoy the Etna trail and to take a breath from the city life! I love fire place and kitchen rally well equipped as well the bath was renew recently!

Being in a mountain spot, snow and wind storm could easily happen and it necessary to be ready to all kind of situation!

The location is great after a hike on mount etna as it’s only few minutes away with the car. Ive stayed in this property a couple of years ago with my family and had a great time. As I did this time with my partner:)

The location was great for Etna visiting off-road parking was available, but is limited. Heating is more than adequate should it be needed.

The shower was not good, small and not easy to maintain temperature control. The beds were not the most comfortable either. A separate toaster would have been convenient.

location was superb, away from the heath of Catania and very close to the funicolar. Rooms had everything needed. beds were very comfy and the place was clean. The host was welcoming, very friendly and approachable, he gave us very helpful tips about things to do and where to eat. would definitely go again
