Nice, basic apartment on first floor, with small balcony, in a pleasant location. Room adequate for our one night stay. Rain shower was more of a drizzle, but was ok. Free parking available throughout site. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Nice pool with sun loungers. Breakfast was very good with large selection of hot and cold food. The village is about a 10 minute walk from Matala, so is away from the main busy area.

Basic but clean hotel on the outskirts of Matala, a leisurely walk into the centre. Friendly team, adequate bedrooms, good breakfast. Drinks and snacks available all day. Overall, a nice, quiet place to stay and good value for money.

Swimming pool could do with a deep clean, and some of the gardens surrounding the property require upkeep - but these are minor issues.

Excellent hotel. The apartment we stayed in was really nice with 2 large bedrooms and a kitchen and living area. We very much liked the yard with the outdoor table and the sunbeds. The hotel pool was also perfect and the breakfast was amazing.

Walking distance from the beach. Parking on the premises (even right at your room door). Super friendly staff, both at the reception and at the bar/ restaurant. Delicious breakfast with great variety. Very quiet, even if close to main road.

Bit noisy little fridge, but manageable. Would be great to have an insect net, as mosquitoes come rushing into the room, but we had a plug-in anti-insects device we bought ourselves, so not such a big problem either.

Lovely bungalow room in a great location. The breakfast was a good addition and staff very welcoming. Matala was a short walk or drive and is the perfect mix of beach, history and relaxed night life. Loved the sunsets, restaurants and evening shopping in the lovely bazaar.

Very beautiful bungalow, well equiped. There are two big room and a bathroom and a terace. Very good breakfast. Situated on the end of the small city of Matala in peaceful area with a nice pool.

Facilities are perfect, apartment had all that you would need for your stay. Pool was fabulous. Local bus available in the village to save some time walking. Food, drinks, snacks and a selection of books all available if needed.

The name of hotel says it all, you are in a valley surrounded by Crete’s mountains. It is 15 minute walk the beach and to the main restaurants in Matala, however this was perfect for my preference. I liked being further away with beautiful views to appreciate. I came to Crete the start of may just before the season fully started so I had the luxury of enjoying the hotel which felt like all to myself first couple of days. The cats that hang about the complex was a bonus for me, I grew a bond with them but tried not to interfere to much with feeding them. Just the odd treat here and there and noticed some other tourists doing it aswell. I was happy to see they had a good life regardless of not being owned. I am vegan, food was a struggle in Crete yet I could of been more creative on what I could of asked for. At my stay at the valley the staff cooked me a vegetable pizza no cheese, pasta and another night I had grilled vegetables with potatoes and salad. At my request they did their best and it was appreciated. I honestly think it’s good value for money, my only wish is if I stayed long term for it to be a bit cheaper. Or perhaps discount at longer stays. Thank you

There isn’t much I can say or fault. Like most places they don’t have vegan specifics on their menu, it would be nice surprise if I ever came back to visit.

Nice place and very polite employees. We rented a bungalow but do to bad weather flights were canceled and our accommodation was not available. We got to choose between 3 other rooms which was nice. And because of the situation we cannot say bad thing about this. Great breakfast buffet and only short walk to beach and Matala center.

Musquitos in the room were annoying and had to be faught before sleep.

The location is excellent a few hundred meters from the beach. The self-service breakfast is good and the personnel is very nice.

The Pool area is run down. There are broken parts and the water wasn't as clean as it could be. The tiles around the pool are slippery and not in their best shape. It surely needs some attention.
