Being situated in lovely farmhouse in the countryside, close enough to Edinburgh but far enough to avoid the crowds. Louisa was a lovely host and local knowledge and information from herself and husband David was really helpful. Breakfast was excellent with the eggs from her sons chickens tasting amazing. Had some really interesting and very diverse chats after breakfast each day. I couldn't recommend staying there more as it is a lovely house and being made so welcome was really nice. Also very close to historical sights and the Pentland hills with Edinburgh and the border towns being in easy reach.

The area is amazing, I knew it was going to be beautiful, but nothing prepared me for just how amazing it was in person. The room was lovely and super clean just like the whole guesthouse. The bed is really comfortable and the location is so quiet! Breakfast was delicious with yoghurt, berries and orange juice waiting for us on the dining room table when we went downstairs and a lovely cooked breakfast following soon after. I was just sad we were there just for the night and will definitely stay there again with more time to explore the South Borders.

Everything was spot on - the location was beautiful and so quiet. My daughter and I were grateful for the peace having been at a concert. The breakfast was delicious and Louisa catered for gluten free, which was a bonus. Both Louisa and her husband are just lovely people, warm, open, hospitable - would highly recommend staying here.

Lovely house. Great host , who welcomed us with a nice cup of tea/coffee. A wonderfull lounge and dining room to use with warm woodfires on a cold rainy day. Upstairs you have your own part of the house with bedroom and badroom. Very comfy bed! Despite what they say on booking.com there is plenty parking space and good working wifi! Great breakfast aswell! Love the friendly dog🤩

A bit hard to find, but a phone call solved that problem as the lady walked towards us to greet us. So not really a problem afterall😇

A really good breakfast, full English WITH black pudding, granola, yoghurt home made fruit compote, toast and jam, orange juice,tea and coffee and in front of a roaring fire with amazing views outside

A lovely welcome by our hosts into their beautiful home, who realising that we were staying in for the rest of the evening lit the wood burner in the elegant guest living room with comfortable squishy sofas. Louisa only lets one room to enable wonderful service - a pretty bedroom, smart bathroom and delicious home cooked breakfast using local produce. We aim to return!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at Ladyurd Farmhouse. Louisa and David were wonderful hosts with a wealth of local knowledge. The property and location is beautiful with stunning views. Lovely Breakfast with Free Range eggs from the Farms chickens. Highly recommend this property.

The only comment we have is personally it would have been nice to have a kettle for tea and Coffee in our room although Louisa ensured that hot drinks were made available in the Dining Room . (and tasty shortbread)

My wife and I have just enjoyed a faultless couple of nights at this special bed and breakfast. Everything about the place is top quality - from the location to the hosts, the food, and the views. Louisa was the perfect hostess, and we are most grateful to her for making our stay so memorable.

Perfect location for our visit to the area. Louisa and David are excellent hosts, very friendly and welcoming with a wealth of knowledge about the area, lots of recommendations for places to eat and visit. Lovely relaxing sitting room with log burner if you wish to use it. Comfortable bed and delicious breakfast. Thank you.
