Very well located, cute building, good breakfast, charming area. I liked that we were able to go to our room early (about 12PM)!

The room was not well cleaned. There was sand all over the floor and inside the shower. The AC was noisy, and the room smelled moist.

The hotel is very close to the beach and has a very nice porch.

Sadly we didn’t have any hand soap or shower gel in our room. We asked the staff for it and she said she would take care of it. She didn’t!

It is steps from the beach, and a short walk to Asbury Park. The area is quite walkable. Free parking is ample everywhere in Ocean Grove. If you are a fan of Victorian Architecture, take the time to walk around and enjoy the eclectic Victorian architecture. Lots of great restaurants nearby! Not far from the music venues, restaurants, bars, and clubs in Asbury Park, but you don't need to pay for parking in Asbury Park!

The breakfast is not great, but there are several restaurants within walking distance. Our room was on the top floor, which involved climbing 2 sets of of narrow stairs. It was quite tiring to get all the way up there, so we did not use our room much during our stay. FYI, Ocean Grove is a dry town, so if you're hoping to grab a nightcap before bed, you need to do that in Asbury Park. We did not use the beach as you need to pay for beach access. We were only there for a short time, so spending a full day at the beach was not in our plans. We would have liked to take a walk along the beach, but had to settle for walking along the boardwalk instead.

I recently stayed at this hotel on the Jersey Shore and had a truly wonderful experience. Bernadette, the manager, went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. She was always available for guests, attentive to details, and made sure the entire place was spotless and welcoming. The breakfast each morning was excellent with a wide variety of choices, and you could really tell care was put into it. One of my favorite touches was that Bernadette personally baked cookies for the guests—they were absolutely delicious and made us feel right at home. It’s rare to find someone who takes so much pride in both the hospitality and the comfort of every guest. Because of her dedication and the overall quality of the hotel, I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Your location was ideal, parking was doable, the rooms and main lobby were very clean. The continental breakfast was very good. And thank you for the water bottles, they came in handy. Bathrooms were clean and efficient, plenty of hot water!

The steps carrying suitcases up and down, was not pleasant, especially for seniors. The handrails are short and did not give a secure, safe sense when descending. The room doors are old and heavy wood so they do not shut flush or easily... so we heard doors slamming most of the evenings and early mornings. Perhaps a sign on the doors to shut them slowly and quietly will help. The rooms are small with no closet or hooks to hang garments on. No dressers, no desks, so very little lateral space.

We were first-time visitors to the area and were there to enjoy live music in Asbury Park venues which were easily walkable from Ocean Grove for two 50-somethings. The inn was very clean, easy to find, ample parking (in December), and just steps from the beach and boardwalk. There was no check in or check out, which was actually very nice. We received a text saying our room was ready (three hours before check in time!) and directions to our room with our unique room code. Easy peasy! We will definitely return and recommend!

I imagine that parking could be an issue in the summer months, but in December there were more than enough spaces right in front of the inn.

The Beachliner is an old rooming house style hotel that that has been completely renovated and is bright and modern and beachy. It is two houses from the beach on the main road into town where you can easily walk to the shops, restaurants, the famous Methodist auditorium and "tent village" and even easily to Asbury Park, over the walking bridge. Bernadette makes a great continental + breakfast and has coffee, cookies and freshly made lemon/limeade in the lobby all day. You can sit on the front porch and see the ocean or you can sit on one of the several higher story back porches and watch the ocean and the boats.

There is no elevator and the steps are narrow so ask Bernadette about lower floor rooms if you have mobility issues.

The property was close to the beach, clean and updated. Great morning breakfast!

When booking our room it wasn’t disclosed that our private bathroom was across the hall. Which made it not so private in the middle of the night. Also they didn’t disclose our room was on the 4th floor and had several flights of steps. The steps were very steep “like a ladder” Also they referred to our room as a double room and very spacious. Not so… it was big enough for the king size bed. I actually had to pull a chair into the hallway just to open the door completely.

The value of the hotel, given the amazing location was exceptional and the innkeeper was very kind and helpful. The front porch and downstairs area were so lovely, the cookies, cold drink and coffee were an added and appreciated bonus. The small fridge with freezer in our room was very helpful. Easy contact less check in and check out. The location was absolutely perfect, super close to everything, just steps from the beach and a very short walk into Asbury Park.

It would be helpful if the room had some storage to put items away besides the closet (shelves, drawers, etc). It was just two of us for two nights, so it wasn't an issue for our stay. It's an older building, so we heard a lot of footsteps/people above us, but it didn't bother us. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

The location was lovely on a very pretty street adjacent to the beach. It was the perfect location for accessing the beach and the Main Ave shops. It rained during our stay but we found things to do including shopping at the Outlet Mall and sitting on the porch sipping coffee and wine. The linens were crisp and clean, the room was well laid out and had just enough for a beach front (3 buildings away) property. The main floor / lobby area decor was really stunning, well designed with comfortable seating. The inn felt a bit like a convert boarding house, narrow stairs and hallways, but it's an older building, so this wasn't a deal breaker or anything, just something to note. It's a very quiet locaion, the people who were walking by tended to be in their 40's-70's, no loud music. The innkeeper said the property was fully booked, but we didn't hear any of the other guests after 9pm.

The coffee bar could be improved by adding a Keurig or Nespresso, I was missing a non-dairy option for a creamer.
