Pillows were too hard. No bell on reception for attention. Sometimes stood waiting at reception with people through in the office who couldn’t see you standing there waiting for service. Sausages for breakfast weren’t good quality and always on the cold side. You need a code for the barrier to cross over the top of the M6. They give you a code but if you don’t know that before hand you could end up driving past the southbound off slip and driving a few miles further south only to have to take the next off slip, then cross the M6, rejoin it and drive a few miles back up to come off the north bound slip road.

We were charged £5 per night to park the car!! Had no idea why as the car park is massive and its not as though commuters are going to be using it. When I asked the staff why, they just said they didn't know and it was company new rule. I presumed it was covered in CCTV which it wasn't. Very poor from RAMADA. I was also charged £20 for my dog. We travel with our dog a lot in France and Europe. On average we pay about £8 for our dog so £20 seems really excessive

One of the cheapest in the area but great facilities. The main meal and breakfast deal for £30 was extremely good value. We were unsure whether to do it at first as in the past our experience of hotel food hasn't been great but yours was actually suprisingly nice and served quickly.

Booking.com didn't make it clear about the up front cost regarding the damage deposit so I was unsure during booking whether I was paying £75 or £195. I rang the hotel first to make sure but before I called I have to admit if the other local hotels were not fully booked I would have just skipped you. I am glad I did not as now from our experience you will be the hotel we use when in the area.

The food was nice. only trouble was I paid for the parking when we arrived that evening with cash. And have got back to Australia and got a invoice from my car rental company saying that they got a parking fine from the hotel saying I had not paid for the parking which was disappointing as I did pay for the overnight parking. 😞

Booked for a 1 night stay as was visiting friends, was looking for something close to where my friends were staying and found this hotel. Great value for money and included a lovely breakfast to start the day. The room was clean and tidy and had everything we needed for a 1night stay, I would say the beds are too soft but this is preference rather than an issue. All the staff we made contact with were lovely, reception team explained everything on arrival and the restaurant staff were friendly. Thank you :)

The room was clean & functional. I have lots of allergies so didn't use the restaurant but the toast smelt wonderful every morning. It would be nice to have decaff tea in the room though.

As a solo traveller I was in a disabled room. This meant the wash basin was set really low which meant a lot of stooping. Also there wasn't anywhere to put a toilet bag as no shelf. It would have been useful in advance to know there is an old road you can approach the hotel on as long as you have a code for the barrier. It saves driving a long way south to get onto the M6 & be on the correct side for the hotel.

I had difficulty getting my room cleaned as I feel the cleaning staff kept forgetting. I was not informed until AFTER I had booked that there would be a charge of £5 per night for parking. This has never happened before so I was unhappy. However, the staff at reception told me what to do for my next booking to avoid this charge. In other words book direct with Ramada Welcome-break rather than with Booking.com.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Check-in was quick and smooth, which was much appreciated after a long journey from Scotland. Our room was spacious, very warm, and had excellent lighting, creating a cosy atmosphere. The beddings were clean, bed, and pillows were comfortable, ensuring a comfortable night's sleep. It wasn't noisy during the night too. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and hassle-free experience.

Surfaces were a bit dusty and shower not the cleanest.

Clean room, great facilities on site with friendly staff. My only issue is the barrier to get into the site to go south was locked. This I understand is a security issue, so I understand. My only other issue is when staying in Summer (I have used this hotel many times) if the window needs to stay open for ventilation, the Kitchen extract fans can be noisy if you are staying on the first floor at the front of the building. The path to the service station from the hotel is a little prone to being rough and ready.

Lovely staff, comfy bed, clean fluffy towels, surprising quiet, couldn’t hear the motorway, easy parking!

Rooms were way too hot with child locks on the windows (please take off child locks) also lots of poorly behaved children running and screaming through the halls past 10pm (not the hotels fault but feel they should have intervened) breakfast was nearly all gone despite getting there just 5 mins after it opened! Was replaced but shocked by how quickly it was gone, not ideal when you need to leave quickly.
