This was my second stay at Ridgemount and once again, I am very satisfied. The staff is the friendliest collection of people, the kitchen ladies are a delight, and the woman checking me in was so helpful and welcoming. Breakfast is served between 7-9 am and you're given an option of cereal and/or the classic English fry-up. Very good location, close to the British Museum and both a Tube station and a bus stop.

While this is not something the hotel can resolve, this time I was unlucky enough to get the room at the top floor with the only access being several flights of stairs. Additionally, there was a single instance when in the morning hot water disappeared on me while in the shower, but as soon as I reported that the problem seemingly fixed itself - most likely due to some overall plumbing maintenance but that's something people might be aware of.

I was traveling with a large family group and we needed 3 rooms-- 2 bedrooms with 3 beds and one single room. The Ridgemount accommodated our needs exactly. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the included breakfast was tasty. The staff was very friendly and we were able to store our luggage in the lounge since we weren't leaving until after check out. Also, the rooms were very quiet, and I could not hear my neighbors at all. I slept well with the window open. I also appreciated the oscillating fan in the room.

Single room was cozy but had everything I needed.

The room at first looked very small and I wondered whether it may not be comfortable. I had a good look around and found that it was very well arranged with several extra features that made it rather comfortable and well equipped. There were several extra details such as an excellent lighting by the desk, the closet, by the shelves in the bathroom. The individual breakfast orders taken by the crew with several extra items optional reliably delivered promptly. Standard of service similar to the standard expected of me when I served in a 5 star hotel in the 60s.

NOTHING about the room was sub par, quite the opposite. I came to realize it was extraordinary. I thought it may have been arranged and installed by a top notch sailing yacht designer.

The Ridgemount is a very well run hotel in a good, central location. It is very good value for money. The hotel was nicely decorated for Christmas.

There was a bit of noise from the street at night. I don't suppose the hotel can do anything about it but I had not been disturbed on previous stays. Perhaps it depends which side of the building the room is located. At breakfast on the first day, I was advised about the cooked breakfast. I only wanted the egg and bacon. All I was given was one egg and a small piece of bacon. On the second day, I asked for egg, bacon and hash brown. The waitress asked if I wanted one or two eggs, which was better. Unfortunately the hash brown was cold.

Have stayed in London several times ,decided to book the Ridgemount away from the mainstream brands , mainly for the location and we booked late , is it value for money without doubt, best described as a homely atmosphere , spotlessly clean breakfast is good , rooms warm , and the staff are polite and welcoming, location is great 12mins from oxford street 18 mins from convent garden and soho , will i stay again YES why pay more.........

Would have liked tea making facility in the room , but free tea, coffee and hot chocolate is provided from a vending machine you can access 24/7 ,which was good quality coffee and tea , just a personal preference some people staying preferred it ....

Small but comfortable hotel in the Bloomsbury area, very conveniently located both for touristic purposes and for work-related trips. The British Museum is, quite literally, just around the corner, whereas the National Art Gallery is a short walk away: besides, there are four underground stations nearby (Euston Square, Goodge Street, Russell Square, and Tottenham Court Road), making it very easy to reach any point in London. I stayed for a prolonged period of time (3 weeks) and had an excellent experience overall: my room was small but very nice and clean, the staff was extremely helpful and professional, and I always felt very much at home and welcome. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a cozy and convenient place to stay in London.

My room was quite small, although it suited me well, and in any case I saw other, bigger rooms in the same structure, thus I guess it depends on where you end up staying within the hotel, based on availability: not an issue for me, honestly, but if you are looking for ridiculously large rooms, you might be disappointed.

Friendly, kind staff. Clean rooms. Wifi was good. Not necessarily cheap as it's London but relatively great value compared to other options. Nice English breakfast included. Free hot drinks from vending machine in lobby. They offered to hold luggage after my checkout until I was ready to go to the airport. Room was spacious enough with 3 beds though I used it as a single. Great location across from a university was pretty quiet at night but a short walk to the British Museum or to the more commercial areas.

Basement room doesn't have much of a view but it was more than adequate for just a room to sleep in. The shower wasn't too hot in the morning. But would definitely look at this place as one of the top choices anytime I need a place to sleep in London.

Between Euston station und British Museum it's not far from Covent Garden, Leicester Square, Tottenham Court Road and King's Cross. All to reach in 15 minutes by walk. It was my second time in this hotel, because everything is fine and clean and nothing to complain. Although I had a tiny single bed room (I liked the size), my bathroom was bigger than in other London hotels. Especially in relation to the bedroom. The staff is friendly, hot drinks for free from a machine in the lounge all day and the English breakfast was good. I would stay there again.

When I saw the reasonable price and the very positive ratings, I thought that this was too good to be true. However, when I came to the hotel and found a great, clean room and a really nice breakfast, I figured it was too good and also true! Many thanks to the super friendly staff! Great experience! Will definitely be visiting again!

Immaculately clean throughout, comfortable bed, windows that can open for ventilation, all the essentials. Owners and staff were lovely. Great central location with only a short walk to useful shops and Euston station. Free drinks vending machine. Good breakfast. Reliable free wifi.

No lift but probably due to restrictions in old building. Nice to have free drinks in lounge but not easy to carry up 4 flights of stairs. Would have liked a kettle and cups in the room even if I had to supply my own drink sachets.
