Location is amazing! Rooms are super comfy and big enough and have all you need, maybe small fridges in the rooms would be something to seize the full experience. Breakfast was really good, enough variety to change options every day. Common bathroom/toillete was just across our room and you almost never meet anyone there or passing by. For students and staying up to 7 days is more than perfect!

Beds are not really comfy. Rooms towards main road can be a bit noisy only when police or ambulance is passing (generally their siren is super annoying). Missing small fridge in the room especially during hot days.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast including lots of vegan choices and commitment to using Fairtrade items. Lovely old building in a central but quiet location. Facility to leave luggage was very useful especially as we were travelling to and from nearby King's Cross station within easy walking distance. Plenty of public transport nearby for trips to museums further away but plenty to see within walking distance too. Ability to have food delivered (though we didn't do this as there were lots of restaurants nearby we wanted to visit).

One of the showers on our corridor was out of order and another leaked because the door wouldn't close.

The location of Passfield Hall is one of the main attractions - it is close to the British Library, British Museum, Tottenham Court Road, underground stations etc - and of course, it is located in Bloomsbury. It is primarily a residential building for LSE students - so that is the kind of "hostel" style accommodation to expect - but it suits me and provides good value. The breakfast is provided in the "canteen" - but it is really very good and you are likely to meet people visiting from all over the world. There are also decent kitchen facilities you can use yourself on each floor. The showers etc are basic but ok. I have stayed at Passfield Hall on several trips and would do so again.

Passfield Hall is primarily a student accommodation building for the LSE - so you have to adjust your expectations accordingly. That said, it is beginning to look a little run down - particularly in the hallways, and to some degree in the rooms - I'm mainly thinking about the carpets. There also seem to be a few more bathroom facilities "out of order" on each trip. A personal bugbear is the ever later check in time - currently 3.00 pm . This isn't limited to Passfield Hall, and at least they do provide a luggage storage room, but you are really only getting half a day's accommodation with such a late check in and the trend seems to be going to later and later check in times, and the need in other cases to arrange luggage storage.

We were looking for a simple and affordable place to stay for our family of 4, and we surely found it at LSE. It provided the basics we needed for our visit to London - a comfy bed, hot shower and nice breakfast. The location was most important for us, and that was spot on - 5 min walk from Euston Station and 10 min walk from Russell Square metro and the St Pancras Kings Cross station. There are loads of places in the neighborhood to eat out and just a 20 minute walk from St Regents Park. Most of the people that work there were super friendly and helpful!

A gluten-free bread would be nice at breakfast.

Cleanness (kitchen area and shared bathroom). Location. EXCELLENT breakfast. Comfortable bed. Linen service (towels + soap + shampoo). Spacious room with a high ceiling + a lot of natural sunlight. Well-equipped kitchen. Clean laundry room (washing + dry) with a digitalized payment system; easy to follow. Very nice and calm neighborhood with cafes + restaurants + small grocery stores; easy access to Russel Square station + bus lines. Excellent work by the housekeeping team! I must emphasize here that the kitchen area was spotless everyday!! Good job!

Although the experience at the LSE Passefield Hall was excellent, there was one thing that caused us a problem. It is about the renovation work. I would have greatly appreciated it if they had been transparent about it prior to the booking. Otherwise, I would not have taken the reservation. The noise associated with the work is entirely understandable; we saw the small courtesy notes on the work + noise issues in the premises. Yet, it was unexpected to be woken by noise early in the morning throughout our stay. Just a simple gesture of transparency would have been appreciated.

Excellent location 24 hour open reception you can actually talk to human being who are helpful and pleasant this is rare nowadays. Good breakfast to start a day. A bit crowded and busy but variety and tasty Reasonably quiet.

No liquid soap in the toilet near my room and even after reported it was not supplied. No lift in the building stayed. No hairdryer in each room. You can go to reception in the main building to borrow which was a bit of distance and no guarantee to have one to borrow as it is first come first served basis for limited number of dryer. It was manageable but maybe try to bring your own might be better option.

I think the location is superb if you need to be near major northern stations in London. Excellent travel ref tube bus. Walkable as well. Not sure if most of the overseas tourists they deal in can grasp that. Staff are well trained. Kindly and uber professional. I came latish from the theatre. So kind the two night staff. Next to Tavistock Square. 2 mins Euston. 5 mins KX. St Panc. Top Bloomsbury address. Russell Square tube. British Museum Etc etc. Plus amazing staff doing the breakfast. Amazing

Just the sheer greed of a lot having the bountiful breakfast. From pilfering food. To 4/5 coffees. I try not to look. But they just park next to you ,,, Not the fault of LSE staff.

Very clean, comfortable rooms with towels and toiletries provided. Shower/ bathroom areas were adequate and spotlessly clean. Good speedy check in due to arriving very late and able to store our cases safely in the luggage room during our stay. Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast included in the price, loads of choice, nicest breakfast we've had in London on our travels. There are recreation rooms/games provided nice seating areas inside and outside the property. Water bottle fill up station in the dining room. Overall best value accommodation in London we have stayed in.

Everything was good

This is a very affordable room for Central London, especially for being just a ten minute walk from The British Museum, Russell Square, and Euston Station. The area is quiet and well-shaded with little traffic. The room is simple yet comfortable, and the breakfast downstairs each morning was very generous. The staff were very nice, and the building is both secure and easy to access at all hours of the day.

The bathrooms are shared, meaning that every section of hallway (about a half dozen rooms) had a public facility with showers and toilet rooms; this area could get a little stinky at times. The layout of the building can be a bit confusing initially, and there's no lift service to the third floor.
