I enjoyed my stay very much. The hotel is simple but cozy. The real gem of the hotel is Natalia and the breakfast staff. Natalia was concerned about my problem with the tv not woking in my room and solved it quickly. The breakfast staff is very friendly and efficient. By the way, the hotel is very conveniently located between St Pancras, Russell square with shops, cafes and restaurants nearby. I will definitely return to Mentone hotel when I return to London.

I had a problem with my TV in my room and I reported it to the reception. A young man told me to wait 20 minutes. I waited 45 minutes and went back down to the reception. His answer: wait 20 minutes and I will go up to watch your TV. The first two days of my stay I had no TV in my room.

Staff was super kind, extremely helpful and flexible. They were always ready to assist your every need and took the time for it as well. The rooms were clean and comfortable and almost felt like they were soundproof once you’re in the room itself. The bathroom was clean and well kept. The little balcony is really nice for pictures. Also the gardens right in front of the hotel are ideal! I really had a comfortable stay here for my first time in London :)

Small side note; the doors make a loud sound when opening and closing. When the guests in the room next to mine went for breakfast in the morning, I was still asleep, but the door closing and opening sound literally jump scared me outta my sleep. That made me realize that the other guests must probably experience the same when I entered my room around midnight while they were sleeping. This made me feel a little uncomfortable to be honest

The location of the property is FANTASTIC- it’s basically in the middle of a triangle made up of the Russel Square tube station, King’s Cross, and Euston stations. The beds were mostly comfortable. The breakfast was great.

I know it says the hotel doesn’t have air conditioning, but the only ventilation my room had was a small wk down above the large window the room had. Additionally, we had the quadruple room for my family of two adults and two kids. We were on the top floor, which must have been the attic or servants quarters back in the day due to the location of the room And what my family termed the “death stairs” that led fell the last landing and up to our floor- narrow, extra steep, and difficult to get heavy luggage up or down. I literally got sick one night after climbing the stairs and over days coughed so hard I almost got sick. Way too many stairs leading to the death stairs.

The location was great as the tub stations where a short walk away from all lines. I would recommend booking through the hotel so you can receive your free breakfast, we thought we booked breakfast through booking .com and turned out we didn't. we stayed on the top floor , this was extremely hot even with the window opening all day and night however we did have a fan which took the edge of a little. The room and bathroom where great and cleaned to a high standard. The hall ways could do with a make over but I'm just being picky as the rooms where lovely. would defiantly stay again

All was good.

The room and bathroom were very clean. The beds were comfortable, the room warm but not too hot for the bedding provided. Kettle/tea/coffee in the room was great. Room 1 was quiet … no street noise or corridor noise . Breakfast was very good value and nice quality ..good coffee, bacon and sausage and the mushrooms were excellent! Staff were all friendly and welcoming.

There were no plug sockets on the bed side of the room so couldn’t charge our phone and use it as a night clock or plug the hairdryer in near a mirror .

Fantastic location, minutes away from Kings Cross with easy access to most tube lines. Room was quiet, didn't hear anything at all which was surprising given the location. Breakfast was basic but still had a good variety to suit most tastes. Room was small but comfortable, as was the bathroom. Bed was really comfortable which is often not the case in hotels for me. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again.

As others have mentioned, with no lift getting up to the top floor where we were is a bit of a trek (about 55 stairs) and the last set of stairs is narrow but it was to be expected so can't really complain. The breakfast area is also pretty small so try to time your breakfast during the quieter periods if this is an issue.

The hotel is 10 minutes walking by the train station in a very nice and quiet location, around nice restaurants and stores, the staff is super friendly and explained everything about the room. Breakfast is delicious and I would recommend to add it to your stay. Our room was the best part, it’s clean and comfortable, everything is new and in a very good condition, we really enjoyed our stay at Mentone Hotel.

We all know London’s underground is very well connected and we got a room where you can hear and feel the metro passing so if you have problems to sleep, request a room at the top floor. But for us was not a problem we slept like a babies.

I like the bathroom facilities, lovely and clean, spacious, the lighting of the rooms, could make it very calm, the staff mannerisms were very polite, very sincere. Lovely breakfast, the smell of breakfast wafted through the hotel which was a lovely wake up , there was holding work going on but didn't really affect us, they provide a cot for out baby which was very convenient

There was no shower mat in the shower There was no lift, had to leave the pram down stairs as the 3rd floor stair where far too narrow and steep, became quite out of breath getting to and from our roo. Especially with a 4 month old child and luggage in out hands

There is always a bit of uncertainty with small hotels, unlike the big chains, so we were not sure what to expect. However we need not have worried as evrything was above expectation including that the hotel was an oasis of calm in an area where many hotels are near to noisy traffic. We were given an upgrade and had an excellent room which was spotlessly clean. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful and we liked the breakfast too. The location of the hotel was perfect for us with small specialised shops nearby like an excellent Lebanese bakery..

The hotel's lack of a lift did not bother us because that was made clear at the outset. We did not have heavy luggage so it was no problem and even then the hotel staff oferred to carry the luggage for us, which we declined.

Excellent location for our needs. Close proximity to Euston, St. Pancras and Kings Cross train stations which suited our needs perfectly. lovely breakfast, plenty of choice. Family room not very big, but as expected for London. Double beds a bit small for my liking but were comfortable. Lovely large wet room shower.

cooked food could have been a little hotter. A couple of slight slight bug bears, Housekeeping on our first night didn't replenish the toilet paper and only left us with half a roll for 5 people sharing........ could do better. Only one disposable cup in the bathroom for 5 people...... Also, the rooms could have been a little warmer as the timber sliding sash windows were quite drafty.
