The room was tiny but very clean. It had a small sink so I could brush my teeth and wash my face directly in the room. Despite having no facilities on site, there is a well documented folder telling you where to go for breakfast, meals, how to get to the tube, what attractions are close and other informations. The staff was very nice, and leaving my bags after checking out was smooth and flawless.

The shower and bathroom are not on the same floor as the room but you have to go down a flight of stairs. It's just a small inconvenience, but not impossible to manage. My room was directly above the neon sign and I had a lot of light coming in during the night, I wish I had my eye mask or a thicker set of blackout curtains

I was a little nervous about staying here because of some of the reviews I read prior to booking, but we loved it and the price was great! It’s definitely in an older building (like most places in London, especially compared with the US), but they’ve made it feel so cozy and inviting! The bedrooms are clean and comfortable, no ac but they had fans you could borrow and the windows opened wide, the shared bathrooms remained spotless throughout our stay and none of us ever had to wait to use one, and the location was central to so many things.

You have to buzz in through the front door anytime you’re entering. I thought this would be a pain, especially on nights we were out late, but they were always quick to answer and friendly, so it ended up being just fine!

Excellent value with great staff, esp Zee & Josuni (sp?) who were both very kind and fun to chat with. Fine smell of freshly brewed bean on entering the front door. Superb vintage art & photography dotted all around the hotel. It's a family run business that has deep roots in the neighbourhood. If you have a tropical disease, the neighbours opposite will cure you! Thanks a lot for sorting me out straight from the runway!

All was excellente, tho i could see how a chilled water cooler next to the coffee might go down well on hot summer nights, esp with visitors from across the $wamp in Trumplandia, they prefer ice in their agua! With globale meltdown, London will be as warm as the Med ;-)

This is an unbeatable location. Knowing the area, I knew what to expect, and, if anything, the room exceeded my expectations. Everything was clean and tidy, and the staff was helpful. Would have loved an early check in, but I understand that's not always possible. They did store our bags until the room was ready.

Honestly I can't think of anything that was a problem. There aren't many outlets in the room, but there was an extension cord and a fan, which provided us with everything we needed. We had a room with an ensuite. While it was tiny, this is to be expected for the area and, again, it had all we needed.

The hotel is very well located in relation to St Pancras station and the bus and subway links to central London (Trafalgar, Westminster...). There are plenty of breakfast options in the area. We were able to leave our luggage in the hotel locker on the last day without any problems. Very well organized. Very good room and bathroom cleaning service every day.

The room was a bit small for the 4 of us with our two teenagers. The bathroom in particular. Impossible for two people to get in. We lacked the means to dry our shower towels. We were a bit cold. With temperatures plummeting over the end of our stay in London. The comforters for our teenagers were a bit small, but a larger one was provided to us without any problem. Overall clean hotel. A few smells in one of the corridors but nothing insurmountable.

This is a fantastic value hotel. Given the central London location, comfy interior and decent sized rooms, the low price is really surprising. Although there are shared bathrooms, I found there was never any issue and I did not need to queue. The room was also very quiet, and <10 min walk from Euston, Kings Cross, St Pancras and very convenient for universities like UCL etc.

The location is perfect for a city trip with public transport of all kinds in the direct neighborhood. The matrass on the bed is good and the bathroom facilities are clean. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Definitely will stay here again!

It's not something I find a problem but the hotel isn't accessible for people with mobility problems because of the small stairs and there isn't an elevator. The rooms are small. But like I said I didn't experience it as a problem at all!

I really enjoyed my stay at St Athans. All the places were quite accessible and within walking distance from my accommodation. I liked the room, as I was the only one staying there. For a single traveler, the hotel was very comfortable, and its location was convenient for getting to other places. The common washrooms could be troublesome for those who prefer more privacy, but I was comfortable with them since I usually returned to the hotel very late, and the washrooms were free. Even though I had to check out at 11 AM, as I was traveling back to Euston and got delayed by an hour. The staff were very cooperative, allowing me to take my time packing and checking out. I would definitely choose them incase I am planning my next visit to London. Cheers to the staff who are available 24/7 for any assistance.

The stairs can be a bit of a hassle when you have large suitcases, as carrying them alone is quite a task. While the hotel staff helped me carry my suitcases to my room when I checked in, I had to manage on my own while checking out. This was a bit troublesome because the steps were very narrow, and I was worried about tripping. However, I guess it would be manageable if you have a friend or partner traveling with you.

Liked the staff - they were friendly and helpful and offered good suggestions for places to eat etc. the location was excellent being close to the rail hubs of Euston and St Pancras as well as bus routes and attractions such as the British Museum. The rooms were very clean and worked well for us.

The beds could have been a queen instead of a double so would have made for a more comfortable sleep. Lack of lifts made it a bit harder to move suitcases but managed

The staff is incredibly friendly, the free luggage storage service comes in super handy, they printed our boarding passes without a problem - everyone was patient, smiley and helpful, despite being busy - awesome service all-around! ❤️ The location is great- close to the tube station, but all the main attractions we came for are reachable without using any public transport - great value for money for a short stay 🙂 The communal showers were not a problem- there were two on each floor, didn't once have an issue with availability, all good and definitely worth a sacrifice for a night or two 👍The hotel has an authentic eclectic feel to it, a real old-style London experience 🙂❤️

The bunk bed in our room was quite rickety, so we refrained from using the top part, as it really didn't feel stable enough to hold one of us. We squeezed and survived the night just fine. In all fairness - we did not speak to any of the staff about this, as it was just one night and we couldn't be bothered 💁😉 I'm sure something would have been done about it if we addressed the issue 🙂
