The hotel is very well located in relation to St Pancras station and the bus and subway links to central London (Trafalgar, Westminster...). There are plenty of breakfast options in the area. We were able to leave our luggage in the hotel locker on the last day without any problems. Very well organized. Very good room and bathroom cleaning service every day.

The room was a bit small for the 4 of us with our two teenagers. The bathroom in particular. Impossible for two people to get in. We lacked the means to dry our shower towels. We were a bit cold. With temperatures plummeting over the end of our stay in London. The comforters for our teenagers were a bit small, but a larger one was provided to us without any problem. Overall clean hotel. A few smells in one of the corridors but nothing insurmountable.

This is a fantastic value hotel. Given the central London location, comfy interior and decent sized rooms, the low price is really surprising. Although there are shared bathrooms, I found there was never any issue and I did not need to queue. The room was also very quiet, and <10 min walk from Euston, Kings Cross, St Pancras and very convenient for universities like UCL etc.

I really enjoyed my stay at St Athans. All the places were quite accessible and within walking distance from my accommodation. I liked the room, as I was the only one staying there. For a single traveler, the hotel was very comfortable, and its location was convenient for getting to other places. The common washrooms could be troublesome for those who prefer more privacy, but I was comfortable with them since I usually returned to the hotel very late, and the washrooms were free. Even though I had to check out at 11 AM, as I was traveling back to Euston and got delayed by an hour. The staff were very cooperative, allowing me to take my time packing and checking out. I would definitely choose them incase I am planning my next visit to London. Cheers to the staff who are available 24/7 for any assistance.

The stairs can be a bit of a hassle when you have large suitcases, as carrying them alone is quite a task. While the hotel staff helped me carry my suitcases to my room when I checked in, I had to manage on my own while checking out. This was a bit troublesome because the steps were very narrow, and I was worried about tripping. However, I guess it would be manageable if you have a friend or partner traveling with you.

In a convenient location and attractive and interesting building.

Aware it caters for the lower price end of market but would still appreciate basic tea and coffee making facilities.

The staff is incredibly friendly, the free luggage storage service comes in super handy, they printed our boarding passes without a problem - everyone was patient, smiley and helpful, despite being busy - awesome service all-around! ❤️ The location is great- close to the tube station, but all the main attractions we came for are reachable without using any public transport - great value for money for a short stay 🙂 The communal showers were not a problem- there were two on each floor, didn't once have an issue with availability, all good and definitely worth a sacrifice for a night or two 👍The hotel has an authentic eclectic feel to it, a real old-style London experience 🙂❤️

The bunk bed in our room was quite rickety, so we refrained from using the top part, as it really didn't feel stable enough to hold one of us. We squeezed and survived the night just fine. In all fairness - we did not speak to any of the staff about this, as it was just one night and we couldn't be bothered 💁😉 I'm sure something would have been done about it if we addressed the issue 🙂

Tidy clean room

This is a hotel where some rooms are not en-suite, and they make that very clear. There were enough WCs each containing a toilet, sink and shower, being situated not far from the bedroom on mezzanine levels. The room key is a modern, secure looking card system. The cards worked no trouble. No need to learn a knack. You don’t get a front door key but the friendly staff are there 24/7 and let me in very quickly at any time. The room was clean and well laid out. I should have used the bureau for working on my laptop. It would have been good for that. There was also a sink and wardrobe. Location is just great. It was quiet enough at night even. I slept well. The decor was even nice. Shower room and toilet were clean and pleasant.

The shower that I used worked but was a bit variable in temperature and the shower head bracket slipped down. Unfortunately I forgot to mention the shower support issue. Things in general seemed to be kept in good repair.

Thecstaff were very nice and my bed was really comfortable. I would return again as the hotel is convenient to St Pancras. You have London at your doorstep and all you need for a good night’s sleep. Just avoid room 5, see below.

The person who checked me in gave misleading information about food in the area. He should have known that a guest notebook can be found in the room that gives a lot of very good information . Room 5 was the worst room in the place right above the front door. My bed shook every time someone came in or out.

Very good location, near station and walkable to the centre / Camden. Basic but very clean room & helpful / friendly staff. Slept pretty well.

Felt a bit expensive for what it was but probably paying for the location. Stairs to bathroom were very steep but manageable if you’re fit and agile. (Perhaps ask for a lower floor room in requests if you don’t think you’ll manage). It was pretty hot in the room, if it was hotter than 25 degrees outside this may have become very uncomfortable.

Third time staying and will be visiting again soon. Staff are very friendly, the room has always been comfortable and clean, and after three times staying I've never had any issues with the shared bathroom.

Majority of rooms are up a few flights of stairs so bear this in mind if you struggle with mobility. I've had no issues with this though and I'm more than used to it having stayed a few times now. Some street noise also but it's to be expected in Central London.
