Excellent property in central location, stylishly decorated and spacious room with everything you'd need to have a great stay including a balcony to sit out and watch world go by. Salvio is a magnificent host, he's very welcoming, helpful with recommendations on places to visit and eat. Above all his breakfasts are legendary, it was like being hosted by a personal chef. His passion for food and hospitality shine through. Don't hesitate to book.

Fantastic place to stay when visiting Lecce. Very well located near the center yet outside the dreaded ZTL if you’re arriving by vehicle. You will be greeted by the amazing hosts Monica and Salvio who go well beyond the usual to provide help advice and assistance in planning your visit to the area. And then there’s breakfast - hands down the best gourmet breakfast you’re likely to experience. We stayed three nights and each morning Salvio and Monica served a different culinary experience complete with explanation of each item, almost entirely from local produce. Very very nice! Habitare is the kind of place every curious and passionate traveler hopes to stumble upon. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. Each morning began with a truly unforgettable breakfast, lovingly prepared by Salvio — a delicious introduction to the rich and authentic flavors of Salento. More than just a meal, breakfast came with invaluable tips from Salvio about must-see sights, local delicacies to try, and the best routes to take. It really set the tone for perfect days of exploration. Our room was spotless, and uniquely decorated with great attention to detail — every object felt like a small work of art. However, the hot water in the shower was not always available, and we occasionally heard noises from the building’s plumbing systems, which slightly affected the comfort. Still, Salvio and Monica turned our trip into a beautiful discovery, and we’re so grateful for their warmth and hospitality. If you’re looking for a home away from home, this is exactly the place. Book without hesitation — you’ll love it!

Habitare is indeed "Exceptional". Salvio and Monica have created something very special. It is hard to imagine that anyone would not award 10/10 for every aspect.The rooms are beautifully designed, the welcome is warm and as you will find the first morning, you will will be offered a breakfast that I would challenge any 5-star hotel to present to it's guests. The location is a very short walk from the main gate to the old town. There is street parking in the surrounds, which was free in April, but worth researching a little for high season. Finally, there is a wonderful luggage lift installed to take it to and from the 3 floor. Humans will have to walk. But the steps are wide, clean and safe.

The property looks and feels more like a boutique hotel. The attention to detail throughout is a testament to the skill in which Salvio and Monika have gathered together the various elements to complete boutique designer feel. The highlight every morning is the breakfast. The preparation that goes into it is worthy of a high end restaurant. The plates are full and Salvio presents the food and then take great pride in explaining where everything on the plate comes from and the relevance to the region. Presented with passion and pride. The property is 10 minute walk from the Lecce historic centre with its narrow lanes and access to Piazza. There are a multitude of bars, cafes and restaurants. Salvio was happy to recommend a steak restaurant which was only 0.3 of a mile from the Via Di Vaste. Thank you for hosting us during our visit to Lecce.

First some heavy stairs to 3rd floor, then after going through a corridor, you’ll find yourself sitting in the designated breakfast room/kitchen. The host Salvio tells you what you need to know, prepare you for the next morning’s breakfast and is also glad to answer any question about what to do in Lecce and surroundings, restaurants etc. Next you get to your room. A nice, clean and cosy room and bathroom with fine art and a modern design style. When it comes to the bed, it’s probably the most comfortable hotel bed we’ve got, at least in southern Europe. First class! B&B Habitare Lecce & Salente has a great location in Lecce, just a couple of minutes walk to the old city where you’ll find all the restaurants, bars, people, shops whatever. And despite its central location, it was easy to park the car for free in the neighbourhood streets. In the morning you’ll find yourself at the breakfast table where you’ll be served a breakfast you probably haven’t come close to before, at least not in a B&B. Different kind of specialities served on local design porcelain makes you happy. The best breakfast ever; yes it can’t be beaten. But it could. The second days breakfast was even better. And the third strikes number two. Sadly we had only three nights and breakfasts at this B&B and after some weeks we still wonder how the fourth, fifth and sixth ones would have been. This is an amazing place to stay when you visit Lecce! The hosts are so welcoming and willing to meet all your needs. The whole property is spotlessly clean and our room was airy, light and the bed super- comfortable. The bathroom was again very clean, well equipped and the shower excellent. The highlight of the stay though has to be the amazing breakfasts! Each day Salvio and his wife lovingly created a culinary experience showcasing local produce of every variety, sweet and savoury. Breakfast was without doubt the luxury highlight of our stay in Lecce! The Habitare also has the perfect location for visiting Lecce, being only five minutes walk from the Porta Napoli. Don't hesitate to book!

We have very few negative about the Habitare. There are approximately 45 steps to reach the property as it is on the top floor of the building. Parking in the surrounding streets can take a bit of time and patience to find a space. And there were a few random 'plumbing noises' within the building at various times, however none of the above issues detracted from our overall enjoyment of the stay.

Monica and Savio are fantastic hosts. The morning breakfasts are works of art and absolutely delicious. Savio goes out of his way share his passion for cooking. The room I stayed in was very comfortable and had everything I needed. Very clean. The location is outside of the old town but a 5 min walk to the old town entrance. About a 20 min walk from the train station so was easy to access and get around. I would definitely recommend Habitare Lecce and Sorento as a great place to stay.

There are stairs to access the room so would not be a great location for someone with accessibility issues.

My stay at Habitare in Lecce was the most memorable leg of my long trip in Puglia, Italy so far. The owners/operators of the B&B are the friendliest and most helpful people you can meet. They go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable, Salvio prepares the most elaborate and delicious breakfast you will ever have and explains all the components and ingredients to each and every guest. The room was newly renovated and clean. The location is perfect, just 5 minutes walk to the old town, but with the added bonus of free parking on the street.
