Everything was perfect: spacious room with air conditioning and huge bathroom, fantastic breakfast and very helpful host - Isabelle (thanks for arranging for our late check-in!) The villa has a unique character and has many places to sit and enjoy a glass of wine outside. And if that's not enough then there is a pool that we stayed in for almost half a day during the recent heatwave. There was always a public, free car park in the immediate vicinity available (either beside the church or Asilo Infantile Panizza). 5 mins walk to the promenade of Lake Como. It was so good we decided to skip a day trip to Swiss Alps and spent it in the pool :-)

A beautiful property in a quiet location just off the waterfront. The house is stunning and the story of how it has been in the family and restored is lovely. I stayed in the Terrace room, with its own balcony overlooking the pool. The apartment was huge - so much so I left the bathroom light on at night so I could find it! Breakfast was also very good - a great selection of pastries, breads, cereals and dozens of peeled fruits. Wasn’t keen on boiling my own egg though!

For the property and furnishings alone it was totally worth it but I did feel the room could have benefited from a few extra touches. The toiletry selection was poor - cheap shower gel in a holder on the wall. There was no bath robes or towelling slippers - which would have been welcome in the morning when sitting on the terrace. The tea and coffee selection was also poor - some of the sachets looked like they’d been stolen from other hotels! And there was no milk sachets either. While the kitchen had lots of equipment, including about 12 plates, there were no mugs just tiny cups. I couldn’t make a decent cup of tea. None of this would stop me wanting to come back here again and staying longer, but I just expected some of the finishing touches.

The property was unique and very interesting . Lots of old artefacts in the room and we had access to other rooms (that were communal.. but nobody else was using) . Particularly nice was a little balcony, covered in honeysuckle where we were able to drink our morning coffee !

Very minor things… would have been nice to have a table for suitcase (as I have bad back and bending a problem). We did need to provide our own tea but shop to buy was easily accessible

If you are looking at this property , book it. I've never said that about any place before. This fantastic 300+ year old property was an incredible find, and it certainly lived up to and exceeded our expectations. The room was beautiful, the pictures on this site are true to our experience of the property. The pool is spotlessly clean as was the rest of the property, the breakfast gave plenty of choice and our host was friendly and gave lots of tips, advice and history of the house, restaurants and local knowledge. I was lucky enough to see a rare thunderstorm on our last night there. Quite spectacular!

This house is beautiful as are the rooms and exterior. Isabelle and Giovani were the perfect hosts. Friendly, helpful and attentive. They should be very proud of what they've created in this historic gem. Isabelle's breakfasts were delicious and plentiful with top quality ingredients and we loved hearing about the houses history and how it is depicted in the beautiful ceiling paintings. Parking for our 2 motorbikes was secure and the neighbourhood felt quiet and safe. The exterior of the house is freshly painted and the garden well kept in contrast to many Italian properties! We welcomed the great air conditioning in the bedroom. Thank you so much Isabelle and Giovani for a wonderful time.

If i could have 1 improvement it would be to have had a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities.

A lovely inn in a cosy village, where we were greeted by the friendly owners and their beautiful cat. We had such a nice stay and loved the breakfast especially: lots of fresh fruit and eleven kinds of cheese! We will definitely recommend this place and hope to return some day!

We spent 5 nights at this wonderful location. We had room Nelly and loved it. Enough couches and chairs to sit, very big room with an entree hall and large bathroom. Isabella ran the breakfast buffet in the morning! Wonderful. Much choice from fresh fruits and nuts, home made cakes and jams ect. She was also very helpful on tips where to go, how to go, where to park etc. The villa is in a quiet location within walking distance of the lake and restaurants. From there you can cover most of the lake within an hour, traffic permitting.

Nothing. If we want to name one thing is that we could stay another night but had to change rooms. Which was fine and well arranged. We moved to a room on the ground floor, a mini-suite. We found Nelly room much more comfortable. Better windows and shutters to open or close the way you like and better furniture to sit. But it is a matter of taste of course.

The property is gorgeous and perfectly well kept. We loved the atmosphere, art, history and things like the garden and outside area. No noise, stunning rooms and the breakfast is to die for!

The villa was amazing, full of authentic character and extremely clean, facilities were excellent and location great for ferry, lake and restaurant access. Isabella was lovely and so helpful - her breakfasts were amazing. If I had to find any fault it would be the difficulty to park. Although parking is available at the villa, do you need a small car to manouevre the driveway!! Otherwise really enjoyed everything about our stay at the villa.

The breakfast was excellent,such a wide variety from fresh fruit,cereal's,croissant's,eggs and pastrie's.Isabella the host was fantastic from organising meals for us at the local restaurant to ordering taxi's.Giovanni was also a fantastic host,we had a problem with the bathroom door,through our own doing,and he came to fix it straight away.Fantastic villa and hosts,we cant wait to re visit.
