I was really impressed with the attention to detail with the "Art Deco" theme. Everything in this hotel has an Art Deco aviation twist to it, and I enjoy that enormously. The place is spotless, the room was warm, comfortable and well equipped. A decent shower too, which always helps. I would not hesitate to stay here again. We stayed here for it's proximity to the nearby Rushden Lakes shopping centre.

When I arrive in a hotel lobby, I want to be welcomed with a smile and a "Good afternoon" I don't want to have to look at the back of the receptionists head as she finishes a conversation with a colleague. Also at breakfast, there was no staff member to welcome us, we waited several minutes before somebody came out to show us to a table. The breakfast itself was adequate, although the coffee was appalling.

The hotel is different, nostalgic, retro 1930’s and looks great. Stacked with history. Staff were friendly, helpful. The restaurant was comfortable and whilst a fairly limited menu, the food was reasonable. Room was good size, comfortable as was the bed. Good work space at the desk/dressing table.

The chairs in the room, whilst fitting with the decor were not particularly comfortable to sit on for any lengthy period. I also found the pillows either bulk and hard of too soft and squash to flat (Bed was comfortable though). Limited amount of sockets, could do with a couple more considering all the devices you need in today’s world.

This was my second visit and It was as good as my first, I did end up by the road this visit which was the only thing that let it down. The traffic did abate between 11 till 5am so not too much hassle. The food was good as always and the staff were all very efficient apart from the first evening in the dining room however there were a lot of guests. If you fancy 'winging' your way back to the 40's this is the place for you.

The Aviator Hotel is a lovely 1930's themed hotel that appeals to me & my partner. Our room was clean & comfortable with a beautiful view of the surrounding country side, & our evening meal was excellent: & I'm pleased to say, hearty! Sadly the breakfast was a let down & not to the standard as last year! But on a whole , the Aviator hotel remains our favourite place with a bar selling ales & a good selection of drinks & our coffee was lovely. We shall be returning next year.

The breakfast was a little disappointing. The it was plenty with a good selection but the tea tasted cheap & the eggs were slimy. The carpet was worn & looked a bit tired, but Other than this which is minor, the hotel is good value

Loved the whole experience, everything was Art Deco, even the little details. Fab location on the edge of an air field. Staff were very friendly and knowlegable about the history of the hotel and gave us lots of information. We will definitely be returning.

Very very tiny niggle and its was only a tiny niggle our room was a little cold on arrival as the windows were open, but it soon warmed up. No complaints otherwise couldn't fault the place it was lovely.

Decor and furniture throughout is in keeping with the art deco theme to a very high standard. Tables, chairs, posters, light fittings etc etc are superb. Excellent external appearance of the main building with aircraft feel and small airport environment. Comfortable bed and good bathroom if a little dated compared to some but quite acceptable.

The evening meal and the breakfast were not to a great standard and the service in the dining area could certainly be improved by more attentive and committed people.

We love the location, the retro feel to the property, all of the retro decorations, the great dining/drinking area and the outside seating - great to be overlooking the airfield. All in all a fantastic step back in time place to stay. We had full English breakfast on 2 morning and it was freshly cooked to order - absolutely delicious. Step back in time and enjoy.

The arrangement for hot water for tea at breakfast could be improved (the flask in the dining area doesn’t keep it hot enough).

I have stayed here a couple of times and each time I see something different. This time it was the fabulous aeroplane lights at breakfast and the propeller fixings on the patio balustrade. The attention to detail here is super. A true nod to the art deco era. The team are always helpful and the food delicious. Ideal spot just outside Northampton to stay and visit the area. The nearby Sywell Park is lovely too.

All good, what's not to like!

Art deco old aerodrome very unusual and really cool. Comfortable rooms again in art deco style, lovely restaurant and bar overlooking the aerodrome. Simple menu but well done. Nice breakfast

Although the staff were polite there was no energy, barely raised a smile, at breakfast didn’t even get a good morning and had to chase the young girl to get more coffee put through filter, not very attentive. Older man I presume duty manager about didn’t acknowledge any customers at all that we saw. It’s a shame as this hotel really smart.

Our stay was very comfortable and what we have become accustomed to. Most of the staff were friendly and efficient.

Not so keen on the buffet style breakfast. Room servicing could have been a bit better - e.g. replenishing refreshements and loo rolls!!! A little bit disappointed that as regular guests staying at this hotel and it would have been nice to have been remembered, e.g. a bottle of wine in our room would have been nice.
