The Ocean views and calmness of the place in a busy city like Galle was perfect for escaping the heat and crowd when you needed quiet time. The space in our room and facilities exceeded our expectations. It makes you feel like you are on an island by yourself considering all the noise and craziness in the city

Service of staff could have been better. Essential information like when the hotel serves buffet dinner are not stated to you unless you ask. We did not know that the hotel had a buffet in the evenings until we asked about it. Staff here try their best with their service but many also fall short in their service with the way they speak. For a 5 star hotel, the service was at most a 4

This is a truly five-star resort near Galle, overlooking the historic Galle Fort. The check-in process was smooth, and we were pleasantly surprised to receive our room immediately upon arrival, even though it was before the official check-in time. The room itself was beautiful—spacious, modern, clean—with a particularly remarkable bathroom that was both large and enjoyable to use. The property as a whole is charming, with elegant spaces and a stunning pool that became our favorite place to relax after a day of sightseeing. Food was excellent. On our half-board plan, we experienced both the breakfast and dinner buffets, and both were very satisfying with a wide variety of well-prepared options. That said, service in the restaurant could be improved, and the live cooking station at breakfast sometimes took longer than ideal. The location is also excellent—just a 10-minute walk to the entrance of Galle Fort. The staff were efficient and professional, though not quite as warm as we experienced in other hotels during our stay in Sri Lanka. Overall, this resort delivered a very enjoyable stay in Galle, combining comfort, charm, and a prime location.

Beautiful hotel. Very well maintained. Big suite with jacuzzi and a lovely balcony with a fantastic view of the ocean and Galle Fort. Very good breakfast. We also enjoyed the pool as well as the private beach where we could even spot turtles. We also enjoyed the spa which was really worth trying. The building is also very discreet in terms of of architecture. It blends into the landscape.

Unfortunately, like in all external places, there are loads of garbage just outside the hotel. It’s a general problem and a pity. The jacuzzi was complicated to manage or to empty, but the staff was definitely very helpful and efficient. Unfortunately, it was necessary to walk around the park to reach the old town. Impossible to walk straight to the fort.

This property really blew us away, location is literally at the end of the city overlooking the sea and with Galle fort right next to it. The pool and gardens overlook the sea and fort, just lovely. We booked the private pool suite and honestly it was one of the biggest rooms my wife and I have ever stayed in. The washroom alone was as big as many normal hotel rooms. Features in the room, overall comfort was top class. The staff exceptional and super attentive. We literally loved every meal we ate there and that includes the initial day room service which we had to wolf down to catch an evening tour group into Galle fort. We made sure to spend time in the lovely pool every day we were there and ended up having either lunch or dinner at the hotel everyday. This type of room opens into a private garden that overlooks the sea, just beautiful every morning to wake up to it and have your morning coffee or tea.

Actually nothing, we loved everything about the property and we will stay there again.

Everything. After a bad accommodation in Colombo, this was heaven. The hotel being small was able to provide personal service. The room was to die for. Well-appointed, with great views of the ocean and Fort. The staff and service were exceptional. The hotel itself is far better to see in person than in photos. It was a comfortable short walk to the Fort. The food selection though not large was more than ample and great in a way that food wastage would have been kept to a minimum. Tasted my first Sri Lankan Dahl. Amazing and now a convert.

Our stay was too short.

The hotel was perfect, room was a good size and clean, staff were very friendly and nothing too much trouble. Good location, just outside Galle fort, 5mins walk to the entrance.

Nothing we didn't like. We were half board and 1 night there was a buffet, the other 2 nights were a la carte. The buffet was a better experience for us as a family and we wished we could have had a buffet every night. The a la carte was also good just not as good as the buffet.

The hotel is fantastically located, with a view of the old fort (not all rooms). Although we are two married men, we were asked if we would like to join the Valentines dinner on the lawn next to the sea. The woman manager who organized it was awesome, such an incredibly nice lady. She did it with her team and the whole diner was such a nice experience. The breakfasts and lunches were fantastic (Mr.Amila was responsible).

In our room the airco occasionally made some strange banging sounds. Several people came in to check. It didn't really change. Also the tv suddenly started in the night (very bright). We unplugged it.

The location is stunning with views of the ocean and Galle Fort. Pool and Reception staff were lovely and helpful. The Chef went out of his way to cook us a Sri Lankan vegetarian curry which was wonderful. Some areas looking a little tired and need some maintenance. One downside for us was the Restaurant. We didn’t find it comfortable eating there as the Staff are too officious in their table clearing process. You barely finish… and sometimes haven’t finished your meal … and the plate is being pulled from your table. Not relaxing at all. There are renovations going on nearby so the entrance has been moved to go through the Municipal grounds and a Park. It’s a harrowing experience with rubbish everywhere and lots of young couples “ making out” Not a good impression walking up to the 4/5 star hotel !!!

The room was lovely 😊 we were on our honeymoon and they left a cake and some romantic decorations out for us which was a fantastic touch!! ❤️ the staff were all very nice and very attentive.

The food was ok. We enjoyed it, especially the dinner meals but we got crepes for breakfast which we could see being freshly cooked but came out very hard. I think freshness of batter was the issue. Some cleanliness in communal areas could be improved - windows, etc. They were 2 main things to mark down on but overall it was a great place to start our honeymoon trip in Sri Lanka!!
