Perfect location, close to the main square, you can see the ruins on the mountain side from the grounds, only a few minutes walk from the train station for Machu Picchu or Cusco. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff.

These are only very minor points, the wooden floor in my bedroom had been over polished and I nearly skidded a few times in bare feet, but flip flops sorted this out. The other minor thing was that I was phoned by hotel staff at 8.15am one morning to say breakfast service had already finished, which I thought was a little early to be honest.

1. The location is right beside the train stations and a 10 mins walk to the ruins and Main Square 2. Beautiful guest houses and garden 3. If you go up the stairs in the backyard, you can see the ruins 4. Reception staff is very helpful, especially Edwar who made sure my stay was comfortable and recommended the best restaurant (I went for dinner AND lunch the next day)

1. I was surprised by the price but it’s in the same category as “airport hotels” where you pay for convenience and peace of mind 2. The main avenue doesn’t have a proper pedestrian walkway so you have to be cautious of traffic

The location was perfect for the train station and a short walk to the main square. The hotel kept our main luggage whilst we visited Machu Picchu which was essential and helpful. The reception staff were welcoming. The beds were comfortable and the setting/grounds were beautiful.

Breakfast was OK. The main staff member in the breakfast room was on his mobile phone both mornings and not helpful. There were cobwebs in the main bedroom and the bathroom needed refurbishment.

We, being vegetarian people, had very less choices.

Breakfast was okay, nothing spectacular. Had to take tuk-tuks up to the village square but was not difficult and only cost about 50 cents and always found one easily. Very close to train station. The grounds were lovely and the staff were very accommodating. Bed was too hard for my taste, but my husband was okay with it

Softer bed for me. There was a parking lot for buses next to our room, and they could be a little noisy early in the morning.

The property was beautiful. The location is great - far enough away from the bustle of town but an easy walk to the centre. The gardens were stunning - so peaceful. Our room was lovely - spacious and well appointed and breakfast was great. The team at the hotel were all sensational - friendly, personable and helpful. We really appreciated being able to leave our motorbikes and luggage at the hotel for a couple of days while we went to MP.

A truly beautiful place. View was stupendous. Location perfect - very near the station. Staff lovely. Lots of coca tea. Nice breakfast too.

We got overcharged. The receptionist accidentally entered our payment in soles instead of dollars then after some superfast sleight of hand calculations topped it up in dollars. When I got home and checked my bank account more had gone out than should have done. Hot water was sporadic. Sometimes there wasn't any. Bed was made rather messily; bottom sheet was a bit slippy. Nevertheless if we were in Ollantaytambo again I would stay here again.

A lovely hotel, clean and well presented with beautiful gardens and friendly staff. The location is excellent, it’s in a quiet spot just behind Ollantaytambo train station and a short walk from the main centre of Ollantaytambo. We chose Ollantaytambo as our first stop in Peru (instead of Cusco) as it’s lower in altitude and closer to Machu Picchu.

The shower with a strong hot water pressure. Comfy beds. Beautiful gardens. Very convenient to the location of the train station for the trip to Machu Pucchu. Generous breakfast with lots of passion fruit.

The room is cold, no heater. But not sure because of the weather or my jet lag. My husband did not feel cold at all. The wood floor cracking so loud whenever you walk Breakfast variety could be better
